If people REALLY want Rare Replay on Switch...how about this: If ya'll (mind you, referring to those constantly asking) want it on Switch, show Nintendo & Microsoft that there is interest for it.
Companies ain't gonna do all that effort if there isn't any interest for it, especially since it requires some time & resources. Plus, I'm sure there are valid reasons for it not happening...maybe.
@Total_Weirdo I've only played the one on Dreamcast back in 2001. What I didn't know about the OG Tomb Raider was that it was also on the Saturn aside from the PS1.
Too bad I didn't have those two systems back then...
Huh...interesting. I wasn't even aware of the Sonic Generations remaster announcement since I didn't bother watch Sony's State of Play. Since I...uh...forgot.
I love how some the Minecraft Godzilla models are based on the different suits/designs based on the films that they appeared.
Especially the one image in the article that is based on the film, "The Return of Godzilla" a.k.a Godzilla 1984. Or Godzilla 1985 if you're familiar with that U.S. version. I got the movie itself on DVD & it's kinda hard to find now...
@imadeanaccount Depends on what exactly about the game that makes you feel that it is "kiddy".
Honestly, I don't really see it any different from the GBA original in terms of the atmosphere or vibe. Then again...it could the visuals. I really don't know.
Yeesh...it's really getting difficult to know the difference between plagiarism, inspiration, & parody in this era...orz. Pray tell that somebody can know the difference...
For me, I would never even call Gamera a Godzilla rip-off. More of inspiration. Yes, another reptile-based kaiju isn't original but a gargantua fire-breathing turtle? One that can fly, eat fire, & consume nuclear energy? That's still creative. At least Daiei was able to make something unique with a few creative ideas to help differentiate Gamera from Godzilla.
Honestly, I really can't form an opinion on Splatoon maps that get this kind of makeover treatment. Not counting those that get re-designed sequel-wise though.
I'm usually a Slosher main, so I am kinda of a Bloblobber Maniac.
The only one on this list is Lumines Remastered. Which I'm gonna buy physically. Cause I'm pretty much adverse to digital. Weird enough but it is what is.
Honestly, I'd love to see Phantasy Star Nova get a HD port on Switch...
Same for Lumines Electronic Symphony. And maybe Wario Land Shake It. We are due for another Wario Land entry. Getting kinda...tired of WarioWare honestly...
In fact, some of the Wii games could use a bit of new life on Switch. Too many to count but Rthym Heaven, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (& Path of Radiance) come to mind.
@Mauzuri Well, you ain't the only one. After that botch-up with Sonic Origins Plus, I was pretty much done with Sonic. I don't mind sticking with Sonic Mania.
I was hesitant on buying this but thankfully I went with Mario Wonder. SuperStars is such a mess that isn't worth the 60$ price tag this game is asking for.
Very "smart" of you, Valve, to not acknowledge the OG Vita as the 1st to have the OLED screen before the Switch & Steam Deck did.
But...each to their own, I suppose. I, however, will still acknowledge the Vita still. As it was a very good handheld in my opinion. Sony really squandered it's potential because of their incompetent choices.
Shame that some people make the Vita as joke still. Yeesh...
For 2D Mario, it's SMB: The Lost Levels. For 3D Mario, Super Mario Sunshine, due to it's...well...certain designs in aspects of certain levels.
EDIT: Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels was by far the most difficult 2d Mario game I've played. I couldn't even get past World 2 or 3 (mainly my bad memory). It makes SMB 1, 2, 3, & World looks rather tame by comparison in terms of difficulty.
I wouldn't call it "ugly" if it was "Tonka Tough". Plus. I did liked the L/R triggers. Made playing Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon felt more better for my hands.
I am planning on buying one since I'm starting to feel my current 2011 OG 3DS is starting to feel it's age. That & it's L/R triggers don't seem to respond well either. You have to press them a little harder than usual.
I think he wanted to spread out more with his ideas for games the he wants to do. That & maybe more freedom and flexibility.
Yuji Naka did something similar when he left Sega & Sonic Team. I remember reading up on a interview in a gaming magazine, I forgot the name, I think it was Game Informer or Electronic Gaming Monthly. Might be the latter.
Anyways, Yuji Naka said in that one, that he didn't want to make just Sonic games all the time.
From that perspective, I get that. If you keep working on something that is your passion without resting or a change of pace. You pretty much burned out on said hobby.
Seems like, for the time being, Kamiya is chilling out for while. And I say he should enjoy some break time.

Re: Rumour: Switch Successor Might Not Be Launching Until 2025
Honestly, if it's 2025, then so be it. More time can be a blessing in most instances. Note: mostly.
In the meantime, my Switch OLED will still be my main console even then.
Re: Rumour: Switch Successor Might Not Be Launching Until 2025
@GrailUK I'm assuming common sense, right? It's a rare element these days. One that is truly needed.
Re: Random: Sonic Superstars' Free Shadow Costume Is Certainly Something
I mean, it looks...um...alright? I don't know what folks really expected to see.
The way SEGA is handling this game is just...weird.

The World of Corporate is a ever-expanding ocean. Never to end, always going on forever.
Re: Konami Announces Yu-Gi-Oh! Classic Collection For Switch, Launching This Year
Not that I care about Konami but really hope that they don't do a half-boiled effort...
Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Penny's Big Breakaway
Sounds good so far but I'm not gonna buy it on release anytime soon unless it gets a physical release at some point or in some way.
Just hoping the LRG doesn't get their hands on it...that's my only concern.

Re: Random: Hyperkin's Latest Switch-Compatible Controller Is... A Hot Dog?
Give me a Pepsi or Dr.Pepper themed one and you got a deal. Preferably, if it is the Caffeine-free Pepsi color.
Re: Talking Point: Do You Want To See Colourful Cartridges Return For 'Switch 2'?
The fact most people are fine going all digital is pretty...um...disturbing. Well, the Age of Ownership is coming to an end.
Let's hope people are happy with that future. Am I blunt while saying that? Yes. Yes I am. Of course, SD cards are laughing at us...

Just is just an example though.
Re: Arc System Works Confirmed As Developer Of Another Code: Recollection
Hm...kinda tempted to get this but I really want to get Trace Memories on DS though.

Re: 8% Of Developers Are Apparently Working On Games For Switch's Successor
Hardly a high mark. And something not worth going all cattywampus over either.
I'm keepin' me focus on the Switch rn. Still plenty to get out of it anyways.
Re: Hands On: WaterField's $380 Tech Folio Backpack – The Ultimate Gamer's Bag?
Got plenty of backpacks that can do the job. So definitely a HARD pass on this one for me. This should be around $20 at most. Not $380.
Re: 8-Bit Parody 'The Transylvania Adventure Of Simon Quest' Comes To Switch In 2025
It certainly reminds me more of SEGA's Master of Darkness than anything.
Re: Sonic Superstars Gets A Small Update On Nintendo Switch
Wait a minute...SuperStars didn't let you RESET TIME ATTACK MODE SCORES??? Weird...Mania already had that option. No update needed...yeesh.
And still I haven't gotten the urge to buy this game even when it was on sale during the holidays. So no thank you pls...
Re: Video: Mario vs. Donkey Kong Switch Gets Brand New Trailer 'Pieces Of The Puzzle'
@PipeGuy64Bit Don't remind me...after World 4 is when things start picking up.
Yet it's no problem for my younger brother, who can finish up this game with no issue.
Re: Video: Mario vs. Donkey Kong Switch Gets Brand New Trailer 'Pieces Of The Puzzle'
Probably gonna wait for a sale or so to get this. Since I want to get Paper Mario TYD. Never got a chance to play that one originally anyways.

Perhaps Fighting Vipers maybe????
Re: Talking Point: What Are The Worst Parts Of Your Favourite Games?
While I'm loving Mario Wonder alot, the bosses except the final one, lack variety. That's it really...
Re: UK Charts: Super Mario RPG Tumbles Out Of The Top Ten
@Paraka Plus the SNES version SMRPG was never released in EU back in 1996. So many wouldn't get the chance to play it at all.
So I think that MAY be another reason why. Mind you, maybe.
Re: UK Charts: Super Mario RPG Tumbles Out Of The Top Ten
I think it's because of Black friday that Sonic Superstars jumped to 11th place. That's just me guessing.
Today's Cyber Monday & Sonic Superstar is like close to $30 or something.
Re: How Well Do You Know Zelda: Ocarina Of Time?
6 outta 15...
Not really my best, but I would've fair better with Twilight Princess though...
Re: Soapbox: 20 Years On, It's About Time These Pokémon Games Got Switch Remasters
I remember renting Colosseum from a video rental store. It wasn't until 2007, I outright bought a copy. That's when I finally finished the game
I liked it for what it was. XD Gale of Darkness I didn't enjoy as much. Never really figured why...
Re: Talking Point: Which Zelda Game Should Be Adapted For The Movie?
Honestly, I think Minish Cap can work as a movie. Maybe a self-contained one at that.

23 outta 25. Thank goodness I didn't get the boot...
Re: Exclusive: Gorgeous New 'Snufkin: Melody Of Moominvalley' Trailer Confirms Switch Release
I've never really did give myself enough to get into the Moomins when I first saw the 90's anime. Or the books.
But this title keeps true to the style of the books. So I do wanna check this out. Definitely captures the charm of the books.
Re: 'The Meating' Is A Brand New NES Game Heading To Kickstarter Today
40+, huh? Quite the..."meaty"...offer worth cookin' up.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy Physical & Digital Switch Release Will Require 8GB "Day 1" Update
Yeah...this is a complete "nope" for me. Hard pass.
Re: Talking Point: Along With Joy-Con Drift, What Does Nintendo Have To 'Fix' With 'Switch 2'?
Backwards compatibility is all I really want. That & hall-effect control sticks too.

Re: Poll: What's Your Switch Controller Of Choice For Super Mario Bros. Wonder?
Using the Hori Split Pad Pro. Nothing else.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder English Voice Actors Officially Announce Their Characters
What about Yoshi's voice actor? Cause Yoshi does sound somewhat different in Wonder.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 21st)
Still playing Wonder. And enjoying the heck outta it too. I do plan on getting NSMBU Deluxe at some point though.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Sonic Superstars?
I'd probably give it an 8 at most. The only thing it struggles with is the bosses. that's it pretty much. I haven't played it yet nor will i buy it.
I'm...kinda...done with the Sonic series now.
Re: Ayaneo's New Handheld Looks Like A 2023 Nintendo DS Successor
@Hydra_Spectre Even then, I still consider the GameGear to be quite big.
Re: Ayaneo's New Handheld Looks Like A 2023 Nintendo DS Successor
Looks pretty cool. Definitely could emulate DS & 3DS games with no issue. I wonder if includes a stylus...
Re: Mario & Luigi's New Voice Actor Has Been Revealed
Huh...
Interesting. Honestly, that's all I have to say.
Re: Random: Nintendo Shows Off Mario Riding The Inchworm Pipe
I'm loving these new shorts they've been releasing for this week for Super Mario Bros Wonder.
I think they're charming. I think Nintendo SEA released a few more on Youtube.

Re: Random: Nintendo Gives Princess Peach Some Facial Tweaks In 'Showtime!' Key Art
I can't really decide honestly. I like the tweaked version more. It makes Peach look very expressive.
