Haven’t played any Bayonetta games before but look forward to getting the chance. Seems to be a well regarded franchise so I’m happy to see the Switch continue to strengthen its library.

@BensonUii They should. The Switch in handheld mode is roughly as powerful as the Wii U.

@GameOtaku Probably because Nintendo doesn't want to use two game cards. The Wii U version has two discs.

Not going to buy them again as I'm fine with my First Print edition on Wii U. But the announce of the third part is awesome, can't wait to play.

Wow nice port surprise! Switch just keeps on chugging along!! Really, all top notch Wii U games should come over. Many people missed out on some real gems!

While I rarely buy physical, good for them to clarify the first game enclosure there. I remember how I futilely searched for God Eater Resurrection on PS Store and nearly bought Burst instead... then checked out GE2RB during a sale only to find out that Resurrection was merely included in the package (as a cross-buy to boot!) and thus not in any search results by itself. XD

This must be hot off the press as there’s nothing on Game.co.uk for Bayonetta on Switch. This is a definite Pre Order. Bayenatta 1,2 & 3 shear gaming bliss.
I hope they optimise the ports (1&2) properly as on Wii U there was a bit of slow down at times in large battles so wouldn’t want that to be made worse on Switch.

Considering I have both these on Wii U and haven't even played them yet, I wouldn't buy them again on Switch, if I had one of course. Being able to play them on the toilet would not be enough for a double dip.

If Nintendo is publishing it is surprising to see Bayo 1 as a download. Come on NoE; offer us a combined cart edition please!

Got them both on WU as full retail discs, just not had time to play them yet. Depending on port quality I might just trade em both in to get all 3 on the one hybrid...

Maybe THIS will be the platform where the game thrives. Nintendo have a faith in this series and character that No one else has. Which is nice. Let’s hope they can resurrect that cancelled XBox exclusive. Can’t even remember what it’s called.

Bayonetta 3 for the Switch is incredible news!

Third time getting Bayonetta 1, second time getting Bayonetta 2, and I guess first time getting Bayonetta 3.

My only sad note is that we're not getting a card version of 1. At least I've got a disc version of 1 for Wii U.

@PartyMarty45 I'm in the same situation, it will come down to price for me, it doesn't make much sense to spend another £40 on games I already own, but I could be tempted at £30 and sell the WiiU versions

@sillygostly Yep, wasn't inclined to double-dip after my well-loved Wii U edition anyway, but any temptation to is killed by the lack of physical on Bayo1.

I shan't be getting this unless it's significantly differentiated from the Wii U edition, and even then I'll wait for dirt cheap copy.

@gcunit : There's a "Non-Stop Climax" edition coming to Japan and Australia, but I've been reading mixed/inconsistent messages as to whether both games are included on cartridge.

But at least we'll have useless trinkets and an oversized box. -.-"

Would have been cooler for you buyers if both games came on one card, or 2 cards in 1 box.

Anyway, I have them on Wii u and they are great. Bayo 1 is the harder and darker one. Bayo 2 is the easier and more colorful one. Both are great and have proper difficulty. But I have only finished Bayo 2 so far because Bayo 1 is REALLY hard!

Well... at this point there is very little left that is exclusive to the Wii U. I expect Mario Maker will be there before too long, and Xenoblade Chronicles X probably will make the jump eventually too.

I already have the Wii U versions (both on disc), so unless this Switch version has anything new, then I'll pass. Cool for those who didn't get the Wii U version.

The fact that Bayo 1 is a download is a real sticking point for me. I expected 3rd parties to be cheapskates but not Nintendo. Especially as Japan is getting both on a cart.

It's all digital. There is no version with Bayo1 on cart. Not in Japan and not in Europe with the Collector editions.

I might have to walk that back my friend. Polygon is reporting the Japanese version has a physical version for the first game. The EU definitely doesn't, it says so right on the page listing so I assumed the Japanese was the same... but it looks like I'm wrong

You have 25 minutes to order the SPECIAL CLIMAX EDITION PHYSICAL CONTENTS from Nin-Nin Games. This does not include the games but it includes everything else, including a physical case for the first game. The actual Climax Edition already sold out but I'm not sure if the physical version of Bayo 1 would have included English. This is a good alternative and at least you will have a physical case for the first game.

So we'll never see a 3DS version of those games I guess? What a waste of development time then.

So, in the US you get Bayonetta already included when you buy Bayonetta 2... but in Japan both games are sold separately Bayoneta download only (unless you buy the special edition, which I gladly did!) and Bayonetta 2 on cart. I'm curious about the price...

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I would love if Nintendo ported a bunch of Wii U games this year for Switch. I would double dip on Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD for sure. Smash would certainly sell like gangbusters.
