You mention principle on your other comment and I hear you as I too have a negative feeling towards Harvest Moon titles now, as I’ve heard they treated the actual creators really badly or something along those lines. Always lead to believe we shouldn’t be supporting them.

Starfield was not fun. I tried really hard to like it and can’t even remember much about what I did play unfortunately. Majorly missing any “fun factor”.

@Dom_31 I think it sells on name alone, people think Story of Seasons is the rip off version, most likely.

I can’t hear otherwise, sounds terrible.

He’s a lovely guy, but the game looks average at best, doesn’t excite me.

@roboshort Not exactly, as World was very challenging and it was their most successful game. Base game even had AT Elders.

@Pillowpants Capcom could be cooking up a monster hunter exclusive for switch2, if it’s as good as or better than Rise I’d be very happy!

I understand where you’re coming from, but that could be your personality type. I tend to invest in things, and it’s very sad to see something with such incredible potential decline.
It’s not a horrendous game at all, far from it.
I play on average 1,000 hours per Monster Hunter game, this is the first where I’ve ever dropped off at around 100. I’ve done exactly what you said, I’ve moved into the FromSoft games.
I can’t help but feel a bit sad about that.

@Pillowpants It’s not content as such, it’s how the game has evolved / devolved for me.
They invested too much time in massive open worlds voice acting and story.

Monster Hunter has and always will be about hunting monsters. At this point for long term fans like me, I could pass the story and massive open worlds and I just want to hunt extremely challenging monsters. They have made the game too easy on purpose, and monster roster is average or below. Now they’re releasing new charm systems etc making the hunter who’s already ridiculously over powered, more powerful.

So, less flashy giant worlds and story - instead, more monsters and challenge.

PC players would roast it for performance on top of my complaints.

I like the idea of being a crow boy.

Do you know what I hate about this? It has a timer counting down. That’s something retro that should have been left in the past.

I’d absolutely LOVE more handhelds. But not huge things.

They need to be max size same as switch lite and no bigger. Have their own library of games. Physical Games.

Then I’d eat it up.

I may have grown out of this series and that’s sad. Red/Blue and Silver/Gold/Crystal were immense. I even had a really good time with Ruby/Sapphire but not long after that it started to go down hill. The magic was lost. Legends Arceus was pretty good, but felt like it was massively missing a battle aspect.

@calbeau in this case, I don’t think people will feel sorry for him too much. There’s pirating etc then this guy.

@VoidofLight for me it’s the pack aspect, I hate that. If the character could have one monster with him at a time it could be cool. I hate that he runs around with like 100 beasts. Looks a confusing mess, I agree. Instantly disliked it because of the clutter.

Bring back the Handheld - please Nintendo! I miss the 3DS and smaller gaming from you, the switch is not quite the same.

@BrintaPap it’s to protect school girls mostly. As men find it really hard there being pushed against them and not have a fondle. It’s way more complicated than that even sounds. It’s linked to their way of thought process and life.
Very different to our culture and thought processes. It’s their obsession with being young and mentally trying to exist in that realm of school.

@Overzeal my switch lite (brand new unopened and Nintendo sealed from the store) had drift straight out of the box!

Nintendo fixed it for me to be fair too and it worked well ever since.

@Zeebor15 they used to have a multi story arcade in London too, was awesome as a kid!

@speedracer216 yeah I and I adore the GBA so it’s not a matter of no love for old consoles and playing games on them. It’s the obsession over playing and paying for old games for example the GameCube era on modern consoles, I don’t think I’ll ever understand. It’s money for old rope.

I don’t get this obsession with old games and paying money to pay them. I’ve got most of the old Nintendo consoles and old games and never play them. Blows my mind why anyone would get excited for this potential comeback of an old GameCube controller.

It looks like a toy Zelda version of TOTK and I didn’t like that game.

I think two Zelda games so close together / in a row with gimmicky gameplay is too much.

But that’s just my probably boring unpopular opinion I appreciate. It worried me how the creator was referring to Zelda games like “typical Zelda game” and he wants it to be different.
I just want typical dungeon crawler link back without the horrible Minecraft stuff.

@PurpulTyeDye WiiU was too clunky for me, I remember it frustrating me as you couldn’t boot it up and use it via a control pad, you were forced to use its horrible tablet thing. “Shudders”
Definitely not in my top 5 Nintendo console products.

I’d rather have Link + Dungeons back and none of this Minecraft nonsense.

I really hope it’s nothing like that size! Switch lite for me is probably the biggest I would want to go or else it’s no longer a handheld and you may as well be playing on your TV.

@nhSnork I don’t disagree with most of that, but the key issue is the gameplay is lackluster and the AI of the monsters is very low. Monster Hunter is head and shoulders above other hunting / team hunting games at this point. GE isn’t even a close 3rd for me.

@alexybubble I’ve heard from several friends this is better than God Eater.

That being said, I tried God-Eater and it’s a poor man’s monster hunter. So I’ll be curious to see how this fairs!
