@Johnny44 That’s fair enough, I put a lot of time in on my island back when it came out for a year or so but I wouldn’t go back to it most likely, I had my fill.

Hopefully they release a new game in the not so distant future, it could help sway me on a Switch2.

That is correct and I shall continue to hate on backwards compatibility as I don’t see a point in it at all.

@electrolite77 that’s the beautiful thing, you don’t lost access to your library. Anytime I want to play a Gameboy Game, I pick my Gameboy up. Anytime I want to play a switch game it’s right there in its case smiling at me.

I do not and will not accept your point. Plus look at say, animal crossing and other recent “upgrades” they’re literally no different visually. Total waste of resource. I am in the minority maybe, a lot of other people like me rarely complain about it we go along with it but can see the machine you are feeding and it’s unfortunate.

Consoles shouldn’t be backwards compatible, terrible idea. Look at the online polls even here, people’s number one pick was backwards compatibility. That screams to companies like Sony and Nintendo ahh the folks want remakes and cling onto their old gaming habits. Most played games are old ones or service games, that’s been confirmed.

By clinging to the past we massively lose focus on the future.

I’d love new consoles to release once they’ve got a good 10+ bangers planned for the first 2 years and plenty of others on the way.

I love my Switch but I do not in any way shape or form wish to play its games on another console, such a bad idea.

Literally can see no difference, switch 1 version worked perfectly.

I’ve never been a fan of those minifigs in general.
Did preorder that recent Eevee for my girlfriend though as it looked decent.

@TYRANACLES trust me I don’t love modern pokemon so much, gen 1er here.
That being said, I believe ZA is better than Arceus which I thought was a refreshing game. So much negativity towards it made me only just pick it up, yet I think it’s one of the best Pokemon games I’ve played for quite some time. I can’t speak for the DLC but base game is decent, I’m around 30ish hours in and would recommend it easily. I agree with IronMan30 above.

• slightly better performance than switch. (I don’t mind that.)
• looks like the switch. (I don’t mind that either)
• as of yet, no system sellers, lacks a major “omg I need to get that game!”
• Switch OG is awesome, especially OLED and Lite options.
• higher price point for some.

I can see how these things make people hesitant for now. It’ll likely turn things around in the long run.

It must just be me, but that stuff looks totally worthless and I like Pokemon. Even the poor card is an oversized one which nobody collects oversized jumbo cards or next to nobody.

The book you can order online is neat however.

@electrolite77 yeah I don’t disagree, it was the hardware however, as it is pretty much a switch in all sense and purposes. The redesign switch was the one.

10 Million launch is fantastic! But on the flip side, if you compare it to the PS5 say, they just didn’t have the stock. What we see here is fantastic organisation and prep work by Nintendo. Lifetime sales I would assume, make it a raging success (like Switch).

@electrolite77 I believe it was at least 50% naming convention. Everywhere and everyone I’ve ever spoken to says similar. I quite enjoyed the WiiU was quirky.

I think it’s a little premature to say the switch2 is hugely successful, I don’t doubt it will / could be.

@Omarzy Yeah I agree, but that was because majority of people didn’t understand due to the name and advertising side. I even had gamer friends who were confused about it. (WiiU).

We cannot blame it on politics, I do not believe that for one second. Lineup, maybe yeah. Console itself, more likely.

I’m a diehard Nintendo fan and I don’t have or particularly desire the switch2 (yet).

@Kiyata I agree, I think once the switch 2 gets a decent line up “maybe” a lot more people will be tempted.

Unpopular opinion, but I think making a switch 2 wasn’t the move. They should have mixed it up, with something brand new and shiny.
