I agree, nice to see tabletop representation. Here's hoping Nintendo can eventually do a Zelda or Pokemon 5e, and NintendoLife can have DnD or tabletop articles
@Jmjfrank The beginning of your comment had me nodding, thinking someone agreed. Until you said it was a negative lol. Once you have the gravity suit, the area is enjoyable. But the music? Best in the game. Been my alarm clock tone for a while now
@sdelfin I totally agree with the snow level sentiment. Donkey Kong Country series, Zelda, Metroid, every time there's a snow or ice level it's usually my favorite. From the puzzles, enemies, slip and slide hazards to the typically somber and beautiful music, I'm a snow level guy through and through.
In regards to the ranking list, no way would I have Phazon that high. For me any part that involved direct Space Pirate contact (other than the revisit to Orpheon, the music there is incredible) got the boot. Took away all the fun for me for some reason.
My top areas would be 1: Phendrana. 2: Talon Overworld. 3: Chozo Ruins. 4: Magmoor (but not the tower of Space Pirates and turrets) 5: Artifact Temple.
@BenAV Yep, this right here. Sometimes I'll do themed names for a Nuzlocke like rpg classes (Charmander named Paladin, Pikachu named Rogue, Geodude named Barbarian) but that's as far as that creativity goes.
I was already feeling "meh" about this game, but this review was the final nail in the coffin so to speak. Maybe I'll look for it used down the line. Here's hoping Pokemon reviews well at least
Man I wish instead of farm simulator RPGs, SE would expand the Final Fantasy series on Switch. Bring XIII Trilogy to Switch, remake 4 Heroes of Light, give a sequel for that, 2D HD remasters of III, IV, V and VI. I and II Advanced could also be ported. I'd buy any of these
@AstroTheGamosian "The problem becomes, though: what sort of new thing will they do to justify MK9's existence"
I say it's time for Double Dash 2, with new special items and combos. It would be enough of a shakeup that Mario Kart wouldn't feel so stale, and the next (MK10) could be a return to formula as a celebration game
Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a couple levels included in their music a sound that I think was supposed to be "anyone out there?" but it sounded like "om-you-wapwap" to me. And that om-you-wapwap sound could be heard as I drifted off to sleep, scaring me awake
I'd love a new Odyssey with less real world locations. I like the more fantastical locations, not New Donk City. But it might be time to fire Odyssey back up, been a while since I played it
As much as I would love to revisit Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, along with Prime Trilogy, I don't see it happening. But I'd happily be proven wrong!
I love all 3, but we'll see when final evos are announced. I felt that way for SwSh and by final evo time I only liked the grass one. I skipped that one and Legends, maybe this one will drag my 30 year old butt back to the world of pokemon
I wish Voltorb took the form of the ball it is caught in, and gains a new secondary typing for each. Ultra ball gives it dark typing, great is water, etc. That'd be an awesome feature
To each their own! I personally just want a bullet list of things announced, with trailers as links. That way I can browse what I care about and ignore the rest. This mostly pertains to E3

@sleepinglion
"if you really don't want to see anything about the Guardians' latest adventure, maybe skip the following until you have watched it."
They gave a warning in the second paragraph
Re: Random: Guardians Of The Galaxy: Holiday Special Features A Festive Game Boy Cameo
Man does Groot look weird here? I haven't watched and I assume he's aged but there's something uncanny about his look.

Re: Fire Emblem Engage Introduces Two New Characters
@WreckitRyan
The only design that feels like a miss is the main character, which is a pretty big miss haha. The rest are top tier
Re: Feature: Every Metroid Prime Location, Ranked
@HammerGalladeBro
Prime 2 had some awesome locations! I especially loved the music from Torvus and Sanctuary

Re: Best Metroid Games Of All Time
1. Prime
2. Fusion
3. Prime 2
4. Dread
5. Zero Mission
My top 5 seems to constantly change, same with Zelda. And I think that's a good thing, most of the games are top notch
Re: Random: Fakemon Artist Details The Recipe For What Pokémon Should Look Like
@Anti-Matter
I'm the opposite. Some humanoid 'mon look good, but I prefer creatures and monster designs
Re: Poll: What Was The First Pokémon Game You Played? Nintendo Wants To Know
Red for me, I remember playing it in '98 or'99 under the kitchen table and my Charmander evolving into Charmeleon. It was the craziest thing
Re: Nintendo Releases Stunning New Story Trailer For Fire Emblem Engage
I don't think each Fire Emblem game needs a new gimmick. Nor does Pokemon
Re: Talking Point: Do You Name Your Pokémon?
@BenAV
Yep, this right here. Sometimes I'll do themed names for a Nuzlocke like rpg classes (Charmander named Paladin, Pikachu named Rogue, Geodude named Barbarian) but that's as far as that creativity goes.
Re: Random: The Pokémon Company Celebrates 'ChooseDay' Ahead Of Scarlet & Violet's Release
Probably wouldn't evolve Fuecoco, disappointed in the leaked final evos and the dumb looking crystal hats.
But the new 'mons, new forms, past and future motifs are all enticing.
Probably not a day one purchase for me, but somewhere down the line I'll nab it
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Overtakes Zelda In Famitsu's Most-Wanted Games List
I'm excited for Zelda, but hopefully it's the last in the BoTW style. Also wouldn't mind a new top down style game
Re: Review: Tactics Ogre: Reborn - A Decent Remaster Of A 16-Bit Strategy Classic
@ItsATM
It's a reviewers opinion. If it doesn't line up with other reviews, that's just a matter of taste. Must we nitpick every review on here?
Re: Soapbox: Paper Mario: Sticker Star Was When The Series Came Unstuck
I considered myself a fan of Paper Mario until I realized I only really liked 2/6 or whatever. So I guess just 64 and TTYD
Re: Random: Metroid Prime Devs Kept A GameCube In The Freezer To Run Patch Code
@gcunit
That'd be awesome but I doubt it. I've been hoping for the Trilogy or Prime 4 news for so long that I've lost faith
Re: Poll: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is Almost Here, So Have You Completed BOTW Yet?
I completed the main game, but didn't feel it compared well to the other 3D Zelda games. I much prefer Twilight Princess and Wind Waker
Re: Review: Sonic Frontiers - A Bold But Ultimately Failed Attempt At Something New
I was already feeling "meh" about this game, but this review was the final nail in the coffin so to speak. Maybe I'll look for it used down the line. Here's hoping Pokemon reviews well at least
Re: Tales Of Symphonia Remastered Will Be Launching On Switch Next February
@Switch_Pro
Some are into that, brother
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Confirms Eevee And Charizard For First Tera Raid Battles
@Anti-Matter
The base idea is a decent one, but the crystal crowns look so goofy
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Teases Two New Pokémon In Latest Trailer
@NinjaWaddleDee
Eh, I don't think these games need voice acting. It'd be fine if they did, but the lack thereof doesn't really hinder anything.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a couple levels included in their music a sound that I think was supposed to be "anyone out there?" but it sounded like "om-you-wapwap" to me. And that om-you-wapwap sound could be heard as I drifted off to sleep, scaring me awake
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 29th)
Final Fantasy IV (GBA version) is my current game. Been a long time since I played through, the Palom and Porom scene is still so sad
Re: Nintendo Introduces Chloe In Fire Emblem Engage
So far the only thing I've seen that I haven't liked is the main character design
Re: Talking Point: Would You Prefer 'Super Mario Odyssey 2' Or A Totally New 3D Mario?
I'd love a new Odyssey with less real world locations. I like the more fantastical locations, not New Donk City. But it might be time to fire Odyssey back up, been a while since I played it
Re: Feature: 12 Nintendo Games That Deserve An HD-2D Remake
Legacy of Goku series
Re: Poll: Has The Latest Trailer Convinced You To Buy Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
I skipped SwSh, Legends, and the DP remakes. So far this one looks promising
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Releases 18th November
@Silly_G
The evil budew is named Smoliv
Re: Rumour: Could Switch Get Zelda: Wind Waker And Twilight Princess This Year?
As much as I would love to revisit Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, along with Prime Trilogy, I don't see it happening. But I'd happily be proven wrong!
Re: Best GameCube Games
Totally agree with top 3, but feel Prime 2 and Mario Sunshine should round out that top 5
Re: Fans Have Created Their Own Metroid 64, And It Looks Incredible
@cml
What? Prime was incredible
Re: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Is Apparently Japan's "Biggest" Kirby Launch Ever
Definitely gonna pick this up once I finish Triangle Strategy, the demo was a lot of fun
Re: Random: Requests For Zelda Ports Increase Following BOTW 2 Switch Delay
@JAR3CK
The only problem is me and only 7 other people bought a WiiU, so there's a lot of people who haven't played the HD versions
Re: Soapbox: Chrono Cross Really Deserves To Come To Switch Before Chrono Trigger
@moodycat
Now THAT is a hot take. I didn't worship the game, but it really was a fantastic game
Re: Introducing Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's New Starters - Which One Will You Choose?
I love all 3, but we'll see when final evos are announced. I felt that way for SwSh and by final evo time I only liked the grass one. I skipped that one and Legends, maybe this one will drag my 30 year old butt back to the world of pokemon

Re: Feature: Our Predictions For The February 2022 Nintendo Direct

Re: Square Enix Reveals Final Fantasy VII's 25th Anniversary Logos
@Anti-Matter
I've never seen some put VII in any "bleh" list. XIII and XV usually, but VII? Interesting!
Re: Japanese Magazine Nintendo Dream Might Be Teasing A New Game
Epic Yarn 2! The first is such a beautiful and peaceful experience
Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

"Slacking off" dang dude, the switch has tons of AAA awesome games and you're over here talking nintendoom.
Re: 'Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour' Returns In February 2022 - Games, Announcements And More
I want a Legacy of Goku remastered collection on the Switch, and a Super entry
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Games Of 2021
@moodycat
Dread is awesome
Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Officially Reveals Hisuian Voltorb
@Silly_G
I wish Voltorb took the form of the ball it is caught in, and gains a new secondary typing for each. Ultra ball gives it dark typing, great is water, etc. That'd be an awesome feature
Re: Talking Point: Should The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Library Expand Faster?
@Dethmunk
Sir, this is a "Talking Point" article, literally meant to drive discussion. It's the whole point. Don't like it? Don't click it
Re: Poll: What's The Worst Legend Of Zelda Game?
@saiyantrunks79
If it wasn't for your excellent taste in Saiyans I'd think you were insane. Wind Waker, even in the Gamecube offering, is fantastic. Top 3 for sure
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd December (North America)
If my daughter was a bit older and that Disney game was cheaper, we'd be all over that. She LOVES Frozen these days
