It's a throw back to classic RPGs that require grinding. Obviously not for everyone, but I loved the story, characters and story book aesthetics. And with a little grinding and prepping, you can take down most any bosses. Just gotta figure out the right hat.combo and level it all up
I agree, but I also think it should be better implemented. It's like a final tour of all the areas you've been, but by then you should be able to quickly get there and feel much more powerful
They made a game for you, it's called Other M. And you can see how that was received, compared to how the Prime games were.
I want a return to form, I personally loved the elemental weapons. Ice, fire and lightning? Dang that's a sick setup. New visors, classic weapons and maybe a way to combine them like in Super. Speedy ice shots when combined with power beam, or steady stream of freezing when combined with plasma.
For visors I'd love to see a TechnoMancer visor, where you can "hack" into enemy units and control them for short periods of time. I'd also love to see thermal, echo and maybe a black light style visors.
Suits, I'd really like to start with varia (power suit in Prime looks like junk), get gravity quickly, and then from there power it up like in Dread. Maybe different ancient warring species have upgrades you can take from their ruins to mix and match. Gravity for jumps with speed of varia, or slow defensive suit with high jumps from Gravity suit
Increase the power, backwards compatible, and VR inclusive. Having it handheld, TV and VR will cover their bases with everything and add enough NEW™ to make it worth the upgrade.
Also, it needs a better online structure. Voice chat is needed
I haven't tried Baten Kairos in a loooong time. I remember bits and pieces, but it was hard to grasp for 13 year old me. Would love to revisit this world
I miss the partners from 64/TTYD, and the turn based fighting style. They keep trying to change things and shake the Paper Mario series up but each new entry fails to live up to TTYD. What a fantastic game that is.
I really enjoyed my time with Octo1, but never finished it. I don't even think I made it super far, it just ended up losing it's draw for me. Hopefully Octo2 holds my attention better, I just don't have time for epic rpgs
I bought Samus, Zelda and Link when Amiibo first came out, but those have since been either eaten by the dog or given to GoodWill. Is there a point to them anymore? Do games still implement them?
I will always love Awakening. It was my first Fire Emblem, and lead me down a path of games that I've come to love. The cast being made up of incredible VAs (especially those from Critical Role), the characters (Lon'Qu, Chrom, Gaius), the classes.
I can understand those gripes, but for me they're minor. I actually liked taking a break from exploring and dungeoneering to return to Skyloft and trade in my finds, upgrade my tools, search for uncovered chests. And then dive back in, another quest.
The sky section wasn't great, it needed more to flesh it out as the hub world, but it served it's purpose. And the land maps I did enjoy, they were like dungeons leading you to the main final dungeon of the area.
Skyward Sword had the time stone puzzles, an incredible soundtrack, Groose, upgrading your weapons, the dungeons were great. Really the only complaints I have are Fi and the motion control, and you get used to both
I can see why someone would hold that opinion, but DBZ has so much action and excitement. Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, fusions, Mystic Gohan, Majin Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, Android Saga, that whole era of movies. There's a lot of awesome stuff in DBZ. DB has charm and fun, but DBZ is so much more
In 2012 I was in my mid 20s, and getting a wiiu from my wife was a real treat. Many, many hours were spent playing it. We could share the tv, control the tv, the games were all great, it was a fun little console
I might be the worst when it comes to cases... I take the games out and donate the case and inserts to my local used game shop. I don't like cases cluttering things up
Metroid Dread was a fantastic game, with a forgettable sound track. Metroid music is usually incredible (especially the Prime series) so it's that much more bizarre to only get one or two good tracks in a Metroid game
Congrats! Good news is new borns sleep A LOT. I did most of my switch gaming when my daughter was first born. Good way to stay up when they need to be held at 3 am.
Now as a three year old, the only gaming I do is Kirby with her and she loves it
What's with all the negative comments? Sure, it isn't breaking news. But it's filed under "Random", and is a fun little anecdote that we all had enough interest to click. Not like the title hid the fact that the article was about the actor wanting a Zelda movie
@Dr_Corndog It's crazy how underrated V is. Sure the story isn't as memorable as VI, and the cast isn't the greatest, but it's by far the most fun Final Fantasy game to play
Idk about who owns the rights or contracts or anything, but I agree that Gamefreak has dropped the ball several times now. We need other developers making more games, different styles
I meant saying this is a "pathetic hack piece from Liam". He is writing an article with sited sources, not just making stuff up.
I think if an article is blatantly lying for clicks, they should be called out. And if a game is released in such a state that EVERY reviewer points out the issues, they should be called out.
But if an author is just writing an article about how some (he even points out that not all are able to) gamers are getting a refund, then where is the lie? What makes this a hack? Are we such fanboys here that we can't say anything negative about a Nintendo game? Cmon
There's no need for personal attacks, Liam isn't writing a "hack piece" here. He's reporting on a common issue, and giving an option that others might not have known was possible. It isn't a guarantee that you get your refund, but there's a chance.
Why visit this site if you have bitterness and anger towards the author?
I didn't realize you guys were upset that it was spoiled that a GameBoy was in GoTG, sorry. I personally don't think that's an important detail worth being upset over, but I thought you meant who gave it, who got it, and the video showing it all

Re: Advance Wars' Delayed Switch Release Might Finally Be Reporting For Duty
@Sahnec
Exact same boat as me. I tried Advanced war back in the day and just couldn't get into it
Re: Talking Point: Where Should The Next Pokémon Legends Game Take Place?
Red/Blue is my favorite gen, but Alola is my favorite location. So either one, or maybe a combination.
But that Kalos idea, mixed with Fire Emblem, could be a great Strategy RPG
Re: Square Enix Survey Asks About Team Asano's Future Games
@Aozz101x
I'd love a remake of Super Mario RPG, and maybe a quasi sequel like Zelda or Metroid RPG
Re: Square Enix Survey Asks About Team Asano's Future Games
@LastFootnote
I just meant the grinding style. And it's a pretty common trope to have your party split, then leveled up separately before being reunited

Re: Square Enix Survey Asks About Team Asano's Future Games
4 Heroes of Light HD remake, plus a sequel.
A new Bravely Default.
FFV and VI remake
Chrono Trigger remaster
Super Mario RPG remake
Re: Feature: 6 Things We'd Love To See In Metroid Prime 4

Yes, it wasn't a very long one. Your gripe is it isn't third person. What'd I miss?

Iron because Fire Emblem is stylized as FE? The elemental symbol for iron
Re: Random: This Nintendo Direct Feels Incredibly Quaint Just 10 Years On
I seriously think Nintendo needs to be transparent. Tell us what's going on, what's planned and scrapped, and how Metroid Prime 4 is coming along

Re: Talking Point: What Is The Most Frustrated You've Ever Been With A Video Game?
Metroid Prime 2 has the Boost Guardian and Quadraxis.
Donkey Kong Country 2 is my absolute favorite game, but some of the thorn levels used to make me so angry.
Mario Sunshine has a lot of enraging parts. Stupid Sand Bird.
FFXIII had a boss with a bunch of faces, and no matter what I did I just couldn't beat it. Never did make it to the fabled open world parts

I might just have to do another replay

Black and Gold is such a slick combo
Re: Poll: The Year Of Luigi Was A Decade Ago, So Whose Turn Is It Now?
Samus for sure. Prime Trilogy HD, Prime 4, a crossover game, and a new Metroid IP.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2023
Zelda WW and TP, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Paper Mario TTYD (HD remaster?), Silent Hill
