For those of you that owned a PlayStation back in the day, you probably played one of the famous Crash Bandicoot games. Billed by many as the PlayStation's answer to Mario, Crash Bandicoot once starred in a popular line of platformers and spinoffs that put Naughty Dog – the development studio – on the map. Since then, Crash Bandicoot has fallen on tougher times and hasn't received a new game in several years, but his status as a PlayStation mascot has never really been forgotten.
It stands to reason that Crash was likely on many ballots for the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot, and while the possibility of the character actually being viable may not have been very high, he would've been a natural fit to Super Smash Bros. Smashified – a Youtube channel that specializes in high-res fan art of potential Smash fighters – saw this, too, and decided to illustrate what it might look like if Crash Bandicoot had indeed made it into Smash.
