@EarthboundBenjy my Advance Collection got delivered, but to someone else! So I opened a ticket and the service was quick and responsive, and in a few days I had my copy. Best of luck!
I’m interested, but I hope they’ll fix performance and load times and release a physical with all it that on cart. In the meantime I’ll play my other tmnt games 👍
@Ralizah Just found my copy of Power Stone. I missed it so badly!! If this port supports online play… and is a physical retail copy, I will be busy all year lol
Could be fun if I had any time this week, and lived in Europe.
I don’t want to be negative but this feels a bit stingy, but at the same time I understand that it helps protect the bottom line of these developers. I guess for younger players this could be a nice chance to hop on and try out some games.
@Oppyz666 Dude, that’s so awesome! 😎 I currently have my Wii, Wii U, Switch, PS3, Xbox, Xbox One, Genesis 2, Mega Sg, Super Nt, Duo, R Pi, and mini PC hooked up to one TV. Most of my original retro consoles are hooked to another or are in the closet.
@Solomon_Rambling Wow, thanks for the reply. I’ll dig into this list when I have the chance! I enjoyed my play through of Oxenfree and the odd atmosphere and feel of Paratopic. I’ve been considering Little Nightmares for years…maybe it’s finally time to play it!
@Solomon_Rambling Could you make any suggestions of games you’ve liked? I never know what to try in terms of horror games these days, though the last one I really enjoyed was Remothered: Tormented Fathers (the first one in the series).
@JohnnyMind If you like classic arcade games then you’d like this. I just randomly started playing the first Volgarr and then this article popped up!
Also just want to thumbs up your positive posts (all of them), specifically your above message about the needless hate in comments sections. I think people tend to spend too much energy focused on things that don’t matter or that they dislike instead of celebrating the things that make them happy.
I loved Goblin Sword and really enjoyed Mercenary Kings. I’m looking forward to trying this one!! Physical edition and it’s a no brainer as long as performance is okay on switch, but those other two games don’t have one, so I wouldn’t expect one for this game.
@HeadPirate I was referring to my complete in box copy of the game that I get to enjoy to this day. Manual, game, case, box art.
Your opinion is also much respected, but you’re coming from an analytical side where I was expressing joy surrounding a video game. Not sure why a difference in perspective makes me naive for having a different opinion. Oh well.
When I was 12, I wasn’t thinking about budgets and balance updates. I enjoyed the little I had.
Yes, if one wants to think of 76+ characters in a game as beating out a game from 30 years ago, that’s perfectly fine. Smash is a polished game, I own it, but it’s not my favorite kind of fighter.
@axelhander I’m quite happy with my complete Genesis copy of SFII Special Champion Edition, my SNES SFII Turbo, and my other ports. I guess what I was trying to express is, as a kid, I only had the Genesis game and was happy with it. When I became aware (much later because the internet wasn’t really a thing) that other expanded versions came out, I never felt ripped off. I’m certainly not saying I had it better, but I am sharing a happy memory from a different time in gaming. I like to have a finished game on a card I can go back to and enjoy, that’s really all I was getting at. It’s harder now in this gen with downloads.
I hope everyone who has this game can enjoy it, but I’m also glad I grew up in another era of gaming where you bought it once and it was complete, worked, you owned it forever, etc. This business model makes me glad I’m not super into fighters ✌️
@Poodlestargenerica interesting, I hadn’t heard that Ancel story. Thanks for catching me up 👍
On a related note, I guess flops these days don’t have the advantage of getting a sequel that often as even games that make multi millions are sometimes cited as failures by the publishers. Crazy! Seems unsustainable.
To all the people who complain about companies like LRG, we need them. Waiting 6 months for delivery of a game I can own is not that big a deal for me. Options are shrinking.
Serious question: after the online goes away, what’s left? I guess if I was a super fan of this game I would probably buy it but if it’s live service then it would basically become useless. Again, I don’t really know much of this series beyond its design aesthetics and art.
I’ll be getting this so long as all games are on the cart and the reviews are good.
Edit: Have most of these on Saturn and Dreamcast, but a new tidy collection in line with the beat ‘em up and 30th anniversary Street Fighter collections would be a nice modern way to access them.
I really thought I’d like the Mario Maker games, but it turns out I only really like a couple stellar ROM hacks.
I was not impressed with the user created levels I played. I would much rather Nintendo not devote any resources to something like a new MM and instead deliver a new, instant classic 3D Mario.
@NeonPizza I never played Contra 4, but hear it’s very good. A port would have been better than what we got from the sound of it. This patch list isn’t even that; it’s a sizable “we didn’t come close to finishing the game” mid-development list. Insane.
Shameful list of update notes. Not even considering buying anymore. This is a prime example of “I made a mess, can I fix it later” culture of the last decade. I wonder how sales are going.
@dodgeskill100 thanks! Unfortunately, the ads don’t bother me, as I can X them out if needed. But now, on my phone at least, anytime NL posts their own video in an article and you scroll, the video follows you no matter where you go on the page and it eats up a large percentage of screen real estate. I find this just as bad as an ad, but it’s actually a choice made by NL from what I can tell.
Anyone know if there’s a way to x out of the NL site videos that follow you as you scroll down? I think it’s new this week, I don’t like it, and it’s much more bothersome than the pop up ads.
@RareFan funny you mention Sonic as their most popular franchise. It became their most popular franchise because it was fresh and cutting edge…now it seems like it’s all they make, and annually. Imagine if Nintendo released a proper Mario platformer every fall. Yikes!
We’re quite far off and this sounds overly ambitious. Hoping this isn’t some live service clone wanna be game.
For the umpteenth time, why don’t Sega make smaller focused games based on beloved franchises that people associate with their brand? All we get now are sonic games and I haven’t even considered buying one in years. I had the Genesis games, Dreamcast stuff, and a couple others but they have so many cool series they could explore.
The Golden Ticket one-game meal ticket approach is such a gamble…why do that? It’s YEARS AWAY. Sega doesn’t what Ninten-do these days lol
Uhh…I wish these companies would just make something new or make a sequel or something.
Night Slashers is a cool idea for a beat ‘em up and I’m sure there’s more that could be done. Compared to the original this just looks worse. And as someone else just said, the original is already available for $7.99 (I think). So besides die hard fans, who’s gonna bite for this at double the price? I’m a pretty big fan and I see no need for this new one if it’s a simple remake.
All I want is better specs for 60fps and backwards compatibility with my cards, and lastly, as a bonus, my account to carry over so I can download my library of digital only titles.
Two screens for me is a waste as I play docked exclusively on the TV. Maybe that could be called the Switch U.
@Clyde_Radcliffe I do recall this being difficult, but only until I tried to help my little brother with Beauty and the Beast: Roar of the Beast on Sega Genesis. That game is ridiculously punishing!
If I’d read this blurb and didn’t already own my Analogue Mega Sg and Super Nt, I’d probably laugh off this unprofessional official statement and move on from considering purchasing one.
Analogue products in my experience are as good as it gets with original carts and everdrives on HD sets, but that dude needs to read his statement back on the screen a couple more times before committing to posting… makes them look amateur.
@JoeyTS does the sniping off limbs and exploding heads cheat still work in GTA III? That never made it to Vice City or San Andreas that I’m aware of. Curious if it’s in this port.

Nah, just a Pro Controller. 😄
