Re: Nintendo Reportedly Showed 'Switch 2' Demos To Developers At Gamescom

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@Not_Soos I can see a possibility of Nintendo rereleasing certain games again but spruced up, Breath of The Wild, Tears of The Kingdom, Mario Odyssey, as well as being backward compatible for switch games to run the same as they did on the Switch. But obviously if you want the better looking and faster running games, you’ll have to double dip. I can’t see Nintendo updating the games for free without making a few bucks for themselves

I’m with you on Wario Land, I really miss that series.
I think we will see Kid Icarus soon enough, I’m sure it’s being remastered

Re: Hands On: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Lives Up To Its Name In The First Hour

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

I will buy this game as I enjoy 2D Mario, not as groundbreaking as 3D Mario but fun nonetheless.

However, I still think it’s playing it safe from what I have seen so far, yes some things are different and the power ups look interesting but the levels themself still seem rather safe and short I might add. I’m hoping some of the best levels and ideas are being kept secret.

I suppose I was spoilt with how good Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze was, I enjoyed how the background in the levels changed the gameplay, especially with that angry octopus level, or how you went from a fruit juicing level to an ice pop factory level. And visually it’s stunning for a game that’s nearly 10 years old.

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@Ryu_Niiyama You’re absolutely free to express your feelings, I’m just questioning why it bothers you especially when it doesn’t effect you, I suppose being on a Nintendo site and having topics based on new hardware is only natural to get people highly focused.
I mean ideally now would be a great time to start talking about it, the switch is in its later life, it’s had all its system selling blockbusters released, with the exception of Metroid 4 but Metroid doesn’t sell systems, of course it’s time to start looking ahead, it also good for people who may not have the means to buy it at the time to start saving now

One of my favourite games is Mario Galaxy, it’s an absolute gem, but that game wouldn’t of been capable on the GameCube, Ocarina of Time wouldn’t have been capable on the SNES, so that’s why I look forward

Re: Video: Let's Talk About Those Switch 2 Rumours, Then

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@Ryu_Niiyama What’s wrong with people focusing on new hardware or any new technology? I’ve had a fantastic time with two different switch models and spent countless hours playing amazing games, but I’m also very excited about what’s to come, I don’t know why so many people are so judgemental about that? Live and let live and maybe stop being so negative

Re: PSA: For Goodness Sake, Don't Fall For This Nintendo Switch 2 'Leak'

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@johnvboy I was sure we would get the next Nintendo console by by April or May of this year, not the pro that was rumoured for years by all the so-called experts, I thought it would be there ready for Zelda ToTK.

I think the same about next year, but I think the issue for Nintendo is when is the best time to reveal or talk of it, I mean if it’s for a late release in 2024 then I suppose the first half of next year but if it’s coming in the first quarter of next year then really Nintendo will have to reveal it later this year, and that’s probably concerned them with how spectacular switch sales are especially in Japan at the moment and with momentum picking up at Christmas time for more switch sales

But I’m ready and waiting for the next 3D Mario on the next system

Re: Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope "Should Have Waited" For Switch Successor, Says Ubisoft CEO

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@johnvboy I have to say I’m more fond of the 3D Mario games, I find them more creative, I remember my brother showing me Mario 64, at the time I had kind of stopped gaming and can’t recall hearing much about Nintendo 64 at the time, it was all Playstation I remember from 1997 to 1998, I suppose being a teen I got into music and other interests a lot but I was overwhelmed with Mario 64, I didn’t think I could play it, within an hour I was hooked and was mesmerised, I was always fond of Nintendo but by that point it became a little obsessive for me I believe, it’s never gone actually

I think we are going to get something very special for the next 3D Mario game, which I think will come with the Nintendo’s next system. However Super Mario Bros Wonder looks pukka!

Re: Talking Point: Is Super Mario Bros. Wonder Really A Departure From The 'New' Series?

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

It’s definitely an evolution of the New series, it’s nothing groundbreaking on any level, I was kind of hoping to see levels like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze where the perspective is changed somewhat, giving a 2.3D effect, I think that game spoilt other 2D games for me as it still looks absolutely incredible, even the level design is well thought of, how you go from a fruit juicing level to a frozen ice pops factory level, and how the foreground interacts with your path in the game, there’s some great ideas there, and it’s a game that’s 9 years old.

I’ll have to see the finished game when it’s out in October which I’m sure will be a lot of fun

Re: Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope "Should Have Waited" For Switch Successor, Says Ubisoft CEO

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@johnvboy It’s a shame if that was why it sold half of what Mario Galaxy sold, because it’s an absolute marvel of a game.

I know usually 3D Mario titles aren’t as popular as side-scrolling Mario games, especially in Japan, which is why I suppose Mario Galaxy 2 came with an instruction DVD for people that found the controls of 3D Mario titles hard to control.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Players Discover Easiest Item Duplication Glitch Yet

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@GreyFenyx Yeah those fairies are bloody hard to grab hold of, always struggled with them.

But not only do I find the creatures harder to get hold of, a lot the bugs are no longer in the usual locations as before, Lurelin Village used to be the best place to find beetles on palm trees at night, they seem to be missing now, from what I have seen while spending time there, I must have spent a good few hours there without no luck

Re: Soapbox: How Zelda's Bad Economy Made Weapon Degradation Great Again

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

I don’t mind weapons breaking, off topic a bit here but the things that seem a little griping are bugs and certain foods that seem to be extremely hard to get hold of now, I’ve noticed this a lot in Lurelin Village, bugs no longer spawn on the palm trees and not many crabs crawling around, not that I have seen anyway, the rivers in the game seem to run more quickly than they did in BoTW too

Re: Soapbox: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Straight Up Fails In Just One Respect: Accessibility

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

I watched a documentary about a guy who lost his limbs, and I imagined how I would feel in a scenario like that and how it would effect every aspect in my life, even for the love I have for gaming. Ive known about accessibility in gaming for sometime now especially after my dad had his stroke and lost the side of his right hand, that frightened me a great deal
I want disabled people to be able to enjoy the games I love the same way. It’s not as magical when people can’t join in the fun

Re: As Switch Momentum Slows, Nintendo Expects Further Sales Decline Next Year

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

What a monumental success the switch is, what an achievement, such a great concept that I hope Nintendo stick with whatever way forward, having said that though, it’s not the Nintendo way of just having another of the same with more power and calling it a Switch 2, Nintendo usually like to surprise people, I can’t see it being VR as it’s too expensive for the tech that’s needed to run it, maybe they could improve the controllers and make better haptic feedback?

Re: Random: Mario Movie Illegal Upload Watched By Millions On Social Media

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

I remember some years ago when Game of Thrones was leaked before the episodes went out, I can’t remember exactly what season it was but about five or six episodes got out there and the makers of the show were very aware that it was the most watched pirated show ever, they were not worried by it as they knew the show was the most lucrative show

If I was Nintendo, I wouldn’t be too worried by this

Re: The Mario Movie Has "Top Animated Launch Day Ever" In Multiple Countries

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@johnvboy To be honest, my experience with a home projector was at a mates house once and their family were watching Eastenders at the time, I remember making a comment about having such a nice piece of kit wasted on Eastenders, that was probably a cheap model, but I’m pretty sure the picture quality wasn’t HD at the time.

I bought an OLED TV a couple of years ago, I love it but I’m constantly worried about burn in, I mostly use it for my Switch and movies, I’d rather not have that worry about the HUD causing burn, playing Zelda is sometimes a bother as well with the placement of hearts on the screen and no option of completely turning off all the HUD

But I’d love to buy a projector at some point, I’ve been thinking about it for sometime. Thank you for some of your tips, I really appreciate it, I’ll keep them in mind

Re: The Mario Movie Has "Top Animated Launch Day Ever" In Multiple Countries

BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed

@johnvboy Same here, sometimes the home cinema experience can be just as epic. I was supposed to have seen it with some mates but ended up In hospital this weekend and with it being Easter weekend everything is slow moving, if the movie was available to rent or stream now I would have had no problem being in hospital and playing some switch games

And that is an epic cinema set up, beautiful 🤩
