Re: Poll: With One Week To Go, What Are Your Switch 2 Launch-Day Plans?

BigE

Luckily I work from home, so fingers crossed there aren't too many meetings booked in by then. I'm more worried about what will arrive and when. My switch and mk bundle is from Argos. My carry case and protector from Nintendo. My pro controller and cyberpunk are Amazon. I can rely on fast fusion being ready as it's a digital download. I'll probably spend ages in the menus and faffing about with the TV and soundbar settings

Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss On Switch 2's Name: Nintendo Created So Much "Brand Value"

@SoIDecidedTo I got my first games machine in 1982 and I don't think any one born after the mid eighties could even comprehend how difficult it was to get information back then. Being from the UK console gaming was expensive back then and It wasn't until I was working that I jumped in with a mega drive (genesis), but I totally get what your saying about adding a bit of intrigue with the name

Re: Best Ghostbusters Games On Nintendo Systems

Showing my age a bit here, but I haven't played a ghost busters game since I had it on my zx spectrum in 1984, digitised speech and a at the time, rocking rendition of ray parker juniors theme tune in 8 bit chip tune were the highlights. "He slimed me", brilliant

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 30th)

BigE

I simply have to finish tales of vesparia this weekend. I'm liking but not loving it, but after 68hrs I can't not see the credits. May have to drop the difficulty as I've been parked on my arse in the back end of the last two boss battles at the tower of tarquaron and I don't really enjoy the combat too much.

Re: Rumour: EA Sports FC 24 Reportedly Due To Kick Off In September

BigE

Maybe I'm naive, but why do they not want to make an effort for an installed user base that totally belittles all of the competition. Ultimately the game play is the important thing, dial the textures down a bit, half em, so what, but mirror the actual gameplay across the formats, same goes for career mode

Re: Review: Dordogne - A Watercolour Wonder, Imperfect Yet Touching

BigE

I've canoed down the Dordogne and it was a great experience. Not sure whether the game will be as good though. My wife accidentally cracked the canoe shop owner over the head with her oar on the way to the river and then piloted her vessel straight through a low hanging tree. I doubt that made it into the game. I can highly recommend the trip for anyone visiting the area though
