Switch 2 - Splatoon Raiders
PC - Quake: Dawn of the Machine Episode

Have a cozy gaming weekend everyone!

Tears of the Kingdom: Making a dent on side quests, caves, and Yiga schematics, sporadically hunting Gleeoks and the like. It's been a lot of fun collecting all the various reference armors (my personal favorite being the "of the Sky" collection) and seeing how different Hyrule is from BOTW.

I will participate in Tetris Effect's weekend ritual, unlock more badges in ARMS, and try to grab some more Perfects in Rhythm Paradise Groove.

Tetris 99 Splatoon Raider's theme unlock = check! ✅️

Happy gaming! ✌🏻🧡🎮

This week I will be mostly playing

Chrono Trigger DS
Splatoon Raiders
Yoshi & the Mysterious Book

Splatoon Raiders. Finally, a must have first-party game for Switch 2. I spent hours helping out on raids last night, as it's so chaotic and fun. I can see myself playing this for a good while.

My Xenoblade 2 playthrough stalled out midway through chapter 8 due to hours upon hours of, "Grind Tiger Tiger until I get the light core," but I finally got it this evening so might blitz through the remainder of the game.

I’ve recently completed Metroid Prime 4, so I can finally start Pragmata that I’ve had since launch.
I’d like to spend time on FF 7 Remake Intergrade. I’ve also had Rebirth since launch, ready to start once I’ve completed Intergrade.
Puzzle game stitch got an update yesterday or the day before. Features new puzzles including constellations and pixel art.

Mainly Pokopia DLC. More of the same, but I love it. New area is huge.
In Rhythm Paradise Groove finally fully unlocked Beatspell, so will have a go on that.
In Picross -LogiartGrimoire- reached level 8.

I actually started playing Adventures of Elliot the other day with my brothers. At first I wasn't very hyped, seeing that 7.8 from Metacritic, but I heard the game was quite fun, so I hoped at least to have a good time with it. Well, WHAT A SURPRISE! The game is freaking AWESOME! We're really having a blast with it, it looks great, it plays great, the world is great, it has so many secrets... It's basically everything a Zelda fan would want!
I'm really happy I gave it a chance, you should do it too if you like classic Zeldas, guys!

Continuing Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Finished part 1 just before the Switch 2 version of XC2 came out, so I just kept on going. Looking forward to finishing off the trilogy in december.

If I get lucky, I will get a GameBoy game today. A game many of you should be familiar with. If I get even more lucky, I can play through Rayman, this weekend. It has been a great experience so far. Probably only two or three levels left to do. I will also try to continue the campaign in Patrician II.

Happy gaming, everyone!

I will probably beat metaphor this week. After this i'm thinking a 2d game probably Rabi-Ribi, played on steam years ago but it's also on Switch

@Zuljaras Classic fable, yes amazing game

Gonna hopefully finish on Zelda Echoes Of Wisdom , at the end now so its only a matter of time. Also started a replay of Pokemon Soul Silver its probably the best remake, as much as a I love Fire Red/ Leaf Green and ORAS, HGSS takes the remake cake ... we don't talk about BDSP , Legends Arceus to me is a better remake

Also Finishing off Spider-Man 2 All for that new game plus trophy XD

Aside from Pokémon Champions and Forza Horizon 6, I'll be playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD.

I started it a couple of days ago. I'm about 8 or 9 hours in and have played exclusively in handheld mode so far. Controlling the sword on the right analogue stick took some getting used to, but having that complete control over your sword really opens up some interesting mechanics for puzzles and combat; it's really cool.

It's also interesting to see what later became big aspects of Breath of the Wild - degradable equipment and the stamina bar - pop up in this game.

Edit: I also got back into Tetris 99 over the past week or so; thanks for reminding me @jfp 😃

Started playing Unicorn Overlord. I’m not normally one for choosing hard mode in games but this is definitely a game that benefits from it. It requires lots of careful analysis and tinkering but you really do get more out of it - on the default difficulty you can pretty much just watch the battles play themselves. So yeah, needs a certain mindset but super addictive once you get into it.

star trek online
destiny 2
the elder scrolls IV oblivion- started the shivering isles DLC this week.

More Splatoon Raiders, Bubbly Basin (I need to complete the habitat and overall dexes), Fire Emblem Engage and some Shadow of Mordor over on Xbox. Have a great weekend, all.

I started replaying Little Kitty, Big City this week. I last played it in January last year, and a lot's been added since then. I'm up to playing Zero Racers on Expert, and I'm starting to struggle and some tracks have been taking a couple of tries. I haven't played much of Dragon Hopper yet, but I'll play more of it. I'll probably play Tetris 99 and Quake's new episode, too. I might also play Moonlighter, which is free on Steam right now (if you add it to your library, you get to keep it).

Splatoon Raiders, Xenoblade Chronicles and Tears of the Kingdom! I can’t wait for Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave

This is a Xenoblade kind of weekend!

August is often an opportunity for a substantial backlog feast followed by roughly ten days of borderline contextual abstinence before going back into the groove but also resuming the day job routines that have their own say in shaping one's schedules and allocatable hobby time come September. This weekend and [about half] the following week are no exception, and the appetites are proportional, typically encompassing whole franchises like Xenoblade, SMT, Atelier, Rune Factory, Tales, Etrian Odyssey, My Time, Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Final Fantasy alongside plenty of other potential playthroughs to advance. The hybrid Fuga, Cyberpunk, GTA San Andreas, Blue Reflection, Don't Starve, Minstrel Song, Borderlands 2, Outer Wilds, Undermine, Ghost Trick, Star Wars Outlaws, Danganronpa, Resident Evil 0, Little Lily Princess and Grid Legends; the handheld NTE, Endless Frontier, Horizon, Xenogears/Xenosaga, Dishonored, God of War, Everybody's Golf, Luigi's Mansion, Air Combat and Chase Begins; TV-plugged (quite literally on another borderline annual occasion) Driveclub, GT Sport (the latter alongside the PSP predecessor on Vita and OG on Deck), New Order, Crew 2, Star Ocean IaF, Avengers and Sakura Wars... these'll be the days, no matter the actual lineup the aforelisted itches will ultimately coalesce into!

Not without some twists either - last week's Sol Cesto, for instance, got uninstalled with zero playtime because it won't run without some Webwiew doodah while the latter won't install on Deck without a few other reportedly required Winertricks, half of WHICH, in their turn, won't properly land because "your Proton version is outdated"... said version being the only one Heroic launcher even bothers to run the game and its confounded Webview installer on. Switch port when? On the opposite end of micro PC gaming experience spectrum, I decided to chance the Steam version of the previously Heroic-denied TES Arena (which is free just like on GOG), and would you believe it! The missing audio did send me on another quest of digging up and subsequently tying the game to some Luxtorpeda witchcraft with blackjack and "DOS Staging" therein, but at least that took fewer steps and produced more immediate results while a decent community layout for the controls helped unexpectedly add the game to the range of Tamriel roaming options in wait for next week's hybrid Oblivion. Dice rolls, dice rolls everywhere...😅

@Sambuc every weekend is a Xenoblade kind of weekend!☝️🤓

Getting in some shorter bursts of relaxing stuff in between co-op Splatoon Raiders with my brother.

• Dredge - Continuing my second playthrough. I'll eventually get back to the story again, but I really enjoy upgrading the boat and fishing those anomalies.
• Star Fox remake - Working through the last few expert challenges still, and hopping on and off some online battles in the evenings
• Pikmin 3 - Trying to improve those medals on some of the side missions.

We gobbled the Mermaid Mask with my kids in two days and as many nights and now my kids are playing their second rounds of it with their friends. And their friends are so enamored of it, that even when they have Switch 1’s, they are planning to buy Switch 2s for playing Mermaid Mask with their friends.

Bought Escape From Ever After on sale.

If you are looking forward to the next Paper Mario entry this might make the wait a little easier.

Still plugging away with Yakuza 0 post game...filling out skill trees, then I found I got into the mahjong. Not going to 100% it as that's insanity, 75% will do me, that's what I did with TOTK.

Hello again, y'all! After putting the postgame of Dragon Quest XI S on hiatus, this weekend I'm playing:

Switch 1:
Megadimension Neptunia VII: started playing it on Sunday, and I currently have three party members that are in the late teens in terms of level: Neptune, Nepgear, and Uzume. The game is split into three "arcs" and I'm still on the first one as of right now, though yesterday I beat the first giant boss fight, Dark Purple.

I just cleared floor 100 of the Bottomless Buffet in Splatoon Raiders, and decided to go back to the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection and start Prosecutor's Gambit. After this game, I'll finally start the Apollo Justice collection... eventually. I usually have to play something else in between these types of games, which is why I've been taking my time going through the series outside of the original trilogy.

We went to the Sonic Speed Cafe in St. Louis last weekend, so now we've been playing Sonic games we haven't beaten yet. I ended up finishing Sonic Advance (GBA), and my kids are playing Sonic Heroes (GameCube).

We also played a bunch of Super Smash Bros. 3DS on trip, and I also played The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (GBA).

Finally, various Mega Man games have gotten play time. I beat Mega Man 7 (Switch), my 13yr-old beat Mega Man 4 and 5 (NES) and is working on 6, and my 9yr-old beat Mega Man X (Switch).

Not a Switch game, but tangentially related…
I’ve picked Star Wars: The Old Republic back up since there’s been a ton of content since I last played. It’s really made me appreciate and miss how phenomenally good Final Fantasy XIV’s controller controls are.

Over the past week I have been playing

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
Pokémon Pokopia
Super Mario Bros Wonder
Beast of Reincarnation
Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition

After wrapping up a shorter game Rogue Trooper Redux (Switch 2) last weekend, I decided to go back to a bigger main game. What I finally decided on still surprises me just saying it.

Breath of the Wild (Switch 2): I did it. I finally took the plunge. Ever since I got a Switch (summer 2018) everyone and their mother kept telling me this game needs to be priority. I'm not the biggest Zelda guy by a long shot but it's been on the bottom of the backlog since. After much debate I finally said, "fine I'll play it!". I'm only a couple hours in and little by little I'm starting to come around to what everyone is talking about. I need more time for the game to fully "click" with me. The way it's going so far, I can see that happening. The biggest challenge so far is not feeling overwhelmed by the sheer size of this game. That's why I tend to avoid big open world games. I told myself if I start to feel overwhelmed to take a break immediately and play a run of Hades II or Snowrunner. Then go back.

@nhSnork are your problems with Sol Cesto due to it being on Epic or GOG? I've played it just fine on Deck, but I did get it on Steam.

@480frames-please Epic via Heroic launcher, yeah. The game just fires up the Webview installer which proceeds to yield an error message mid-process. Did the Steam version try to install this thing as well?

Wow, awesome about Mermaid Mask! I just realized that I have Tangled Tower, so I should probably give that one a go. I'm early in Bananza, but I see why everyone loved it. It's very fun.

Continuing with Rise of the Tomb Raider. As this is my 2nd playthrough (first was on XB1 around a decade ago just playing through the story normally and didn't get 100%), I figured I'd try something different and focus on getting as many collectibles as I could before moving on with the story but in some areas it seems to slow the pacing down too much.

I'm nearing the end of Tales of Berseria, meaning I am lost in spoiler country, although I am thoroughly unconvinced of Innominat's goodness given the literary history of beasts with many mouths devouring all so I can't see how it doesn't get worse before it gets better.

This has also been somewhat derailed by pulling Breath of the Wild over with the S2 upgrade, and while Nintendo worked some wizardry to fit the game, it's just such a joy to play even more than it was. It's also way easier to catch lizards.

Also, Neva because it's one of the most stunning games I've ever played and I want to interact with something beautiful when the sun is out the charring everything in direct light. Our cactus got overexposed to sun, and that's not insignificant.

Happy gaming everyone! And remember to hydrate!

These days I'm playing lots of mods with Lossless Scaling running so everything looks like 120fps or 280fps depending on what machine I'm playing on. I'm also playing Super Mario Bros and really loving it with new mods and different soundtracks and stuff.
Truxton Extreme is the newest game I'm playing. It's really fun and I like the soundtrack options. I was playing it on my super steam deck pro, enjoying trying different frame rates like 50fps, 70fps, 80fps, 100fps, 125fps, all the way up to 144fps (which really only works when plugged in). Then I tried it on my old laptop and it runs absolutely beautifully at 250 to 350fps. Oh, and I finally saw the cutscenes on my windows laptop, they weren't playing at all on my Steam OS handheld. What a lovely STG!
Also continuing to enjoy Beyond Words and defeating more bosses (same kind of bosses as Balatro).
Also continuing to love Sol Cesto. I'm still not far in it cuz I play short bursts, but it's fun to keep unlocking more stuff in the store or fountain.
I'm also playing Pawnbarian, which is a fun little chess puzzle game with cards to collect and play, like chess piece cards.
I also keep absolutely loving playing a race or two of wipeout cuz it runs so perfectly buttery meltingly smooth, and is fun as he'll.
Basically same thing with Lonely Mountains Downhill. I turning it on yesterday and played a few runs and just couldn't believe how much I love the way it looks running at 280fps and whatever resolution and settings I've got it set to.

Amidst the usual weekend errands I’m sure to play some Truxton Extreme, as it delivered recently and finally unseated Splatoon Raiders from my S2 cartridge slot. I’m motivated to clear some stages and progress through the story in the former game, but certainly I’ll keep pursuing a high-level toy blaster in the latter, too, now that I’ve rolled credits there. What a raid, err ride it’s been! I love my little turret buddies. 🥰

Spelunky continues to lure me back for more punishment, too. Someday I hope to actually get to the final boss and not die immediately. The futility is real, but it’s so fun to keep trying! It’ll happen someday.
Actually, since for some reason the games continue to have no physical release whatsoever, I think Spelunky and Spelunky 2 would be absolutely PERFECT as an Evercade 2-game cart. Get on that, Blaze!

Wishing all Nintendo lifers ample time for your favorite pursuits this weekend! 🕹️👾🐙

I’m finally playing games again, but still not as much as I used to. I’ve taken a massive step back because it was consuming too much of my life, free time, and mind. That said, I did buy Final Fantasy XIV for Switch 2. It’s my first MMO since RuneScape in the 90s (no joke), so I’m overwhelmed, but I like it so far. It’s even better than I can play this type of game on handheld - one of the main reasons why I purchased it to begin with.

@nhSnork I've never heard of that webview thing. The steam version just installed and played perfectly for me. In settings it doesn't have any proton version selected, so I think it's a native linux version of the game running on steam os without any translation layer. It runs very well too. I know the graphics are super simple, but it runs easily at 90 or 120fps on my oled deck, and at 144fps on my Legion Go 2 (I put steam os on it). On my laptop (running Windows 10) it never installed any web thing and it runs at 280fps on that machine connected to my monitor. There's got to be a way around that issue. One thing I can think of is the decky apps that combine everything, like Junk Store, or there's one that simplifies launching by letting you select things then the decky app automatically adds all the launch commands in the correct syntax and everything (like combining heroic launcher game with Lossless Scaling, etc). Hope you get it working. Sol Cesto is charming and fun!

I’ll still be playing Splatoon Raiders. That has quite the addictive gameplay loop!

@nhSnork You might need to use proton tricks to install a dependency, or you might be able to skip a secondary launcher thing by finding the .exe of the game and installing it as a non-steam game. There's lots of tips online if you're willing to mess around with trying to get it to work.

All the imports in my PlayAsia package are getting time this weekend: Mushihime-sama, DoDonPachi DOJ, and Metroid Prime Remastered. More games at once than usual, but the shmups are easy to play in short bursts. DDP has a lot of Japanese text, so I have to keep translating it through Google Lens 🧐

And then Subnautica still has its hooks in me 🌊 They just released an update for the Switch 2 version that adds new graphics modes: Quality and Performance. The high frame rate of Performance makes the game look awesome, so I've started a "hardcore" run with permadeath. Wish me luck 🤞🏻

My main focus will be on the PS5 with Marvel Tokon. I’ll still make time for a few races with Mario Kart World and a good workout with Fitness Boxing 3.

While I recover today from a two day spontaneous session of Rollercoaster Tycoon: Live Edition two states away, I'm playing:

• Triangle Strategy (Switch) - All this Fire Emblem news put me in the mood for some strategic gameplay and political intrigue, albeit in a slightly different flavor. Starting this shortly and plan to update this with some first impressions. Edit: Almost three hours in, there's definitely a lot of exposition and world building so far - something I don't mind but can see irritating others who just want gameplay. I've played one story battle and am about to start my second one. I like some of the characters, and as usual the HD-2D art style doesn't disappoint!
• Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam - I'm currently trying to navigate through Gloomy Woods to rescue both Princess Peaches from Mt. Brr. Still taking my time with and enjoying this one, especially the wholesome conversations between the Princesses Peach and Bowser Jrs. Though I'm starting to understand the Paper Toad complaints.

Happy gaming!

I’m on a road trip right now and I decided to bring my modded 3DS, so this weekend I’m playing Kirby Triple Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, both for the first time.

Happy gaming, everyone!

Tonight, the Spearess and I are not going out, so I'll just continue with my schedule of alternating between:

Civilization VI (I completed the run as Kristina leading Sweden in a walkover diplomacy win. I was also ahead on culture and may revisit the save file to try to win that too.
Now it's Gilgamesh leading the Sumerian empire. Powered by an army of War-Carts, we went on a rampage and wiped out Hammurabi and Babylon in the Classical Era, taking a nearby city-state too because it joined forces with him. We're now in the Medieval Era and our second consecutive golden age, with an empire the envy of all and pivoting to a space-race win objective.);

Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons (178 of 354 puzzles completed.);

Tetris 99 (I unlocked the Splatoon Raiders theme last night. Ugh. The garbage blocks are impossible to see. I would have done much better to spend the time playing the actual Splatoon Raiders game, which still sits on my desk in sealed condition.)

Happy gaming, everyone!

I’ve been on a “finish things I started” kick. So I finally finished the last boss in FFVII Rebirth last night, and this weekend I’ll probably casually be continuing my progress through Splatoon Raiders and checking out the free trial of Final Fantasy XIV. Happy gaming everyone!

I got Fields of Mistria on Steam right when it released from early access and I'm not doing anything else than playing that at the moment.

-Tokyo Mirage Sessions Encore: I can’t believe I never played this game before, it’s so good. It’s like a Persona 5 prototype.

-Splatoon Raiders

-Halo Campaign Evolved

Had a day off work yesterday and spent most of it grinding out Splatoon Raiders. Up to level 32 now and will continue it this weekend.

I’m playing Fallout 4 and the new Quake expansion.

I'm playing The Bookwalker on steam. It's a solid 7. Enjoying my time with it.

Also Aphelion on PS5. One of the weakest on Don't Nod's catalog. I just don't care about the characters or what's happening. I think I'll finish it, but it's on the brink of the precipice.

Not sure if I'll turn on the Switch 2. Got plenty of games, but only Welcome Tour and DQ III HD-2D started and I don't feel like playing either.

Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok. We're working through the Chaos++ raids, making good progress. Triumphed over the guy who takes off his shirt last night.

Progress is also being made in Splatoon Raiders, though not as quickly.

I could see a Slay the Spire 2 run happen, and I may try and get back to Star Fox Adventures, but more likely it'll be a weekend of GBFR and little else.

Reading Suggar's Lighthouse at the End of the World.

This weekend I'm working on beating what I think is the final boss in FFX on Switch but I will also be playing more of Fantasy Maiden Wars -DREAM OF THE STRAY DREAMER-, also on Switch, might play some Ninja Gaiden 4 on Series X too but I'm currently way too focused on the other two games to get back to it so we'll see.

Still Star Wars Outlaws for me. On a job with Calrissian, while putting the crew together. He's a bit fuzzy in the cut scenes, but comes up with the goods when needed.

I should really finish off Pragmata but Outlaws has rehooked me, so all else is out the window at the moment.

Busy week I had to go through. Have to see family today so the weekend is a bit tight for me. Still playing the games below.

Resident Evil Requiem on switch 2 - got pretty far in the next objective in raccoon city.

Final fantasy 7 Rebirth on switch 2 - haven’t done much from last week. Still deep into chapter 7.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Endless Ragnarok on Switch 2 - Still in chapter 1. Haven’t gotten to play it this week.

Star fox on switch 2 - did another route. Doing some challenges now as well as doing a little bit of the expert mode in story. Don’t think I will do all the expert level stuff though since I did that for the original n64 game as a kid 😂. And there doesn’t seem to be much of an award for it this time around.

Culdcept Revolt on the 3DS - still getting through the last chapter of the game.

Happy gaming everyone!

Just restarted Echoes of Wisdom after finishing Adventures of Elliot last night. It was an ok game, but didn’t scratch that Zelda itch for me.

I’m also going to buy splatoon raiders today if I get the time.

It is time to finish up my remaining 3 Houses routes (hopefully that will keep me from buying FW at launch. ) and possibly Engage.

Trying to talk myself out of Marvel Tokon.

Back in the garden this evening.

I'm 10 hours into the Adventures of Elliott & 20 hours into Pragmata.

Elliott has been great & I've been playing it exclusively for 2 weeks. I hope to get back to Pragmata, my personal GOY.

@BradC40 @the_beaver Totally! I’ve started the Adventures of Elliot too. It is very much like a Zelda game, but with more story. 😊❤️

Nothing Nintendo-y lately. I've been playing a lot of Factorio. But it's at the point where it's starting to feel a bit like work. You can truly automate everything with robots, but man it takes a lot of work to set up that up properly. I might just play enough to launch a rocket and call it a day.

I was hoping it would no longer be, but I'm doing the last dance with the final boss in Shadow Labyrinth. Life was getting in the way, but this will be done and dusted tonight. The final fights were littered with "get gud", and so I did-- Challenging enough that I had to conjure Ninja Gaiden skills to overcome them. Because of some characters in game, I'll dabble in Pac-Man Museum+, Bosconian and Xevious as my retro throwbacks.

I was Playing MK8D that day, and some MKW (World, not Wii) and a little bit of New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and some bellabel park fun in Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 edition

@Zuljaras Each week I see you displaying different games, your game collection must be quite something haha, how many games do you think you collected over the years ?

I'm playing through New Game + in Xenoblade 2 Switch 2 Edition. This is by far my favorite Xenoblade of the bunch, but I'm realizing its flaws are bigger than I remembered.

I'd forgotten how prominent the anime nonsense could be. Much of it is harmless, if a little annoying. But the pervy elements are especially irritating. The over-the-top anime-fication of this game brings it down from a 10 to a 9 for me. Still amazing overall, obviously.

slowly trying to beat dragon hopper. still the coolest thing nintendos done all year

Mario Kart World (switch 2, of course), and Suikoden 2 remaster on PS5.

Dragon Warrior (NES) - I'm just grinding and slaying to get as much Gold/XP as I need for my Magic Armour.

Rayman Jungle Run (Windows Phone) - I'm done for now, I don't feel like going for perfect scores in each level at this time.

Hexic (Windows Phone) - Virtually done with this as well.

So far been playing Ocean's Batman the Movie and Platoon on C64. I do own a NES copy, but C64 Platoon remains one of my all time favourite games, the music alone is outstanding. On Saturn, some SEGA Rally as usual. Might play The Great Escape on the Spectrum later, something about that game, the methodical gameplay, the black and white visuals, almost complete silence except for the bell, it has a particular quality modern games cant match. In the modern (ish) world, I might download those new Quake updates on Switch and see how they are.

@Gadget73 Exactly what I'm doing. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 Extra Story, right now. A little Balatro and Ball x Pit. Going to Torna once I complete the Extra Story. Then XC2.

@SintasSays I want to say that's what I love about XC2, but I don't remember any of the combat, which means I'm probably forgetting a lot. I'll be back in it soon, then I'll see if I agree with your assessment.
Happy gaming!

@nhSnork a backlog just like mine 🥲

I've purchased a few cheap games recently. I'll probably try them this weekend. Gotta play them while they're still allowed.
Gal*Gun + Gal*Gun 2
Little Witch Nobeta
Maitetsu: Pure Station
Blue Reflection: Second Light
Loop 8
Needy Streamer Overload
Etc.

@Nep-Nep-Freak have you played any of these games?

@Zeeba haven't played any of those yet unfortunately, but I've heard of most of them and may end up buying a few of them in the future. In particular, I have the Gal Gun games, Blue Reflection and Needy Streamer Overload on my potential future purchases list, though I would rather get Needy Streamer Overload on PC because the Switch version changes some dialogue.

I would be playing Cruis'n Blast too, but the code in a box I ordered from eBay a month ago has still not arrived 😣
Instead, I finished getting the new Splatoon theme in Tetris 99 today, and for the rest of the weekend I want to get back into A Link Between Worlds, which is fantastic but it's been a little while since I last made much progress on it.

@Nep-Nep-Freak ah! I didn't know that about NSO. Thanks for that detail. I haven't really played these yet.

I'm in love with Splatoon Raiders. Tons of Pokopia and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. I adore the Switch 2 version of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. In handheld; it positively shines!

@Zuljaras Woaah, that's some huge collection ! Love to see it

I'm trying to collect for Switch too, around 60 physical games hehe, but there are sooo much good games to have on this console, it's crazy

I am currently playing Persona 5 Royal, 8 hours in I am still very early, just secured the route through the 1st palace, so soon it's time to send the calling card.
However, I also need to work on my social stats and confidants which I should have plenty of time for... I hope.
Like I said last week, I've played it before, but I always played my Persona games with a guide because I am not very confident. But I really want try if I can do it without, and the best way to check it is with a game I have played before. Let's hope that my decision paralysis won't get to me.

This week I played:

• Yugioh Master Duel (Switch): Won 5 duels. Duel Pass level 66.
• Fate/stay Night Remastered (Switch): Day 12: Rin's guestroom/Saber (II).
• Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] (PS5): Arcade mode completed with Hyde. Kuon unlocked.
• Elden Ring (PS4 version on PS5): Metyr, Mother of Fingers defeated (1st try). Swordhand of Night Jolán and Count Ymir, High Priest defeated (1st try). Romina Saint of the Bud defeated (1st try). Scadutree Blessing level 17. Revered Spirit Ash level 8.

Happy weekend & gaming everyone!!!

I am playing Zelda TOTK on Switch 2.

First game I played on the console was BOTW, because i didnt have a switch 1. It was nice, but it felt a bit like a chore to me at the end.

TOTK feels so different to me. I read that Hyrule is exactly like in BOTW. It feels really different to me. While the world feels kind of stale and you are always alone in BOTW, there is something everywhere in TOTK.

The engineering part is something i love! It makes the shrines so much fun! Lots of variety in the enemies. Superb, it feels like the best open world I have ever played (and I played Cyberpunk or Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, two superb games with great worlds).

So yeah, I already have more hours in TOTK than in BOTW. Many more will follow

Everyone get their Tetris 99 theme? Extra nice because you can use tickets to get the previous ones you might have missed

Finally seeing what all the hubbub was about involving Lies of P. Definitely a learning curve having to guard without a shield, but a nice challenge. Although not the clearest resolution on handheld mode, I might end up revisiting this game in the future more than Dark Souls.

Oh, and also chewing off what I can manage in the postgame of Splatoon Raiders.

I played Sonic GEMs Collection via Dolphin, one being Sonic The Fighters, lost multiple times so I fixed the difficulty, used Rosy (Amy) stubbornly lost to Metal Sonic over & over then I viciously pulled through & quickly made short work of Eggman.

I tried idling on Sonic The Fighters for the timed rewards but then Dolphin booted me out twice resulting in the in-game text being permanently screwed up despite me trying to fix it unsuccessfully.

I idled on Sonic CD for some rewards aside from the 120 minute ones, got a hug from Amy in Palmtree Panic, lost multiple times to Metal Sonic, didn't get any Time Stones because I wasn't aiming for them, I'll be going through Metallic Madness for the clear reward then idle on the title screen a bit more.

Before that I was playing Star Fox Assault this time using invincibility while on foot cheat on Aparoid City, found all the flags after running or flying around in the Arwing, blew everything up, quit the game to swap out for the invincibility cheat for infinite health in the Aparoid Tunnel, Krystal was forced to retire because I didn't want to deal with mines, beat the Queen, didn't get Xevious despite playing on Silver difficulty all the way through (did one of the routes to the Hatcher change on Silver difficulty? I got lost in a maze), I was having memory storage issues & my Google drive was going bonkers so that's probably why.

My next run may be more Mario Party 5 unless I want to finally dive into Mario Party 6. That is all.

This weekend will be

• Metroid Prime (GC version): Planning to 100% during the Metroid 40th Anniversary. About to make my way to the Omega Pirate.
• Tetris 99: Will play to unlock the Splatoon Raiders theme.

Next weekend, I'll be so busy it may not even give me time to game. Not even on my free time.

Honogurashi no Niwa (Village In The Shade, Japanese version). Couldn’t help but want a spooky farming sim since Grave Seasons got delayed to fall. Been a while
Since I actively used my Japanese skills but the game is worth it. Still intend to double dip for the English release (unless my Japanese digital copy just updates with English for free)

@Chron
Yeah, you're not supposed to guard in that game, you're meant to deflect.
Play it like you would play Sekiro or any other Sekiro-like.

@FishyS

I've really been wanting to try Lovish. The same developer did "Astalon: Tears of The Earth", which was very, very good. And it looks like this one is a little different but still lots of fun, and unique.

@FishyS

Cool. I am waiting for it to go back to 10 or 11 dollars, because I'm cheap. But I'm definitely going to give it a try.

@480frames-please for now I've tossed it into Steam wishlist, perhaps fewer middlemen might help. Or, better yet, a hybrid port will materialize at some point - it would be a double-dip regardless.
