Nintendo Highlights Multiple Major Third-Party Releases For Switch 2 In 2026 And Beyond

Looks pretty stellar to me. Currently playing Culdcept myself.

Love the support. I hope Nintendo increases wishlist size again.

(either that or I land a second job. )

(skims report 300 M USD in tariffs?! And they ate some of that. No wonder they wanted that back. )

Nintendo is forgetting:

• oblivion iv remastered (august)
• trails in the sky 2nd chapter (september)
• kingdom hearts collection (october) and
• moonlighter 2 (november)

Which are all on my wishlist

Great to see confirmation of professor layton for this year btw!

@Friendly The report states the titles listed in the graphic are some examples. Likely because the fiscal report was prepared weeks ago and can’t easily accommodate the elasticity of date changes or surprise announcements and they would want to display what has the most impact to shareholders. This isn’t a sales deck for customers.

Article states it is a selection as well as NL are likely wanting to cut up the report for engagement.

It's actually crazy seeing this. In a good way.

Personally hoping that Stellar Blade isn't too far off. I would love to play this game on the go and not have to worry about needing a stable Internet connection to do it via Playstation Remote Play. Heck, even my fiancée is interested in playing it when she saw the trailer back in June. Also hoping that Stellar Blade: Blood Rain will also come to the Switch 2 when it finally launches.

I had forgotten about Stellar Blade coming over. I am interested in that for sure, alongside all the other games I have preordered already. Oops.

It's so surreal to see Nintendo advertise Call of Duty given that it's been absent from their hardware for more than a decade. Can't wait to play MW4!

It's crazy the number of games releasing in such a short period of time. Someone will be left behind as many people won't have enough money to get them all.
Me, I'm getting Elden Ring and Zelda and that's it.
First semester I got Indiana Jones and Star Fox.
That's it for my wallet.

Great line-up, including the 1st party games. I have yet to get Star Fox and will get that and the new Fire Emblem. Besides that, I will probably get some more Final Fantasy. Both VII-2 and the HD-2D one.

Once again WHERE IS LEGO BATMAN

Looks like a solid list. Personally i'm most looking forward to Stellar Blade.
Also it suprises me that they didn't highlight Trails in the Sky chapter 2, the first game reviewed well and it's coming next month on the same day as Fire Emblem.

Remember during the Wii U days when this list was really paltry and the internet endlessly trolled Nintendo for including a demo on it? I sure do.

@_xXharmless_yigaXx_ that's supposed to come out on 17 September.

@Friendly I'd like to have Oblivion in my wishlist, but I'm still waiting for feedback on the technical aspects of the port. The game seems to run quite poorly on more powerful systems, so a review is required before putting too much hope in this game.

There is nothing day-one buy for me, but I see at least couple of those I could buy on sale.
Out of those the most chance for grabbing my attention are: Lies of P, Oblivion remaster.
I'm still waiting for FIFA in 60fps. If they won't deliver this time I'm buying eFootball.

Fingers crossed that Diablo 4 makes that’s list as rumoured alongside an announcement of Doom The Dark Ages and Ninja Gaiden 4. 🤞

I am missing a 007 release date!

Maybe a partner Direct soon?

Kingdom Hearts Collection for me. Might pick up FFR down the line. Looking forward to Duskfade next week.

So tempted by Elden Ring, but the internet is just videos of people screaming at the game. Any thoughts from people who’ve played the game?

I hope The Crew Motorfest is on track for October

A little off topic but if you signed up for the Duskbloods network test we should get notified today if we got chosen, I hope I do!

Missing Mega Man Dual Override from the 2027 list.

Spyro next year Nintendo also forget it.

I've been on FF14 pretty much non-stop on my Switch since it launched. I'd played on PS5, only gotten up to Stormblood, then kind of moved on to other things. But I'm really REALLY enjoying it on my Switch, especially with all the so many control options. Only drawback is I keep flubbing the on screen keyboard and closing it by accident, so might plug a keyboard into the dock instead. But being able to take this beast of a game with me everywhere there's a connection point? Oh man...its so good on Switch!

I'm also looking forward to trying to dive into Elden Ring again, and it was a joy to see Professor Layton is still on schedule for this year! I've put plenty of hours into Granblue Fantasy before FF hit the system, and soooo looking forward to MH: Wilds, Dark Arisen, and Minecraft Dungeons 2. Also, the Switch 2 upgrade to regular Minecraft. The Switch 2 is getting such awesome support its hard to keep up!

@HubbaHunt I'm hoping people are allowed to stream that network test, as it would be the first of anything we've actually SEEN of Duskbloods since it was announced. I'm interested in what I read about what its supposed to be when it was first announced, but the absolute total radio silence I've heard on it since then has been....somewhat disturbing.

No love for Lego Batman, Nintendo?

Look at that Game-Key infestation.

Quite a third-party lineup, and it doesn't even mention everything that's coming. Likely due to some announcements appearing after the report was typed.

Frankly, I'm just happy Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is still slated to release this year. Not too surprised DECAPOLICE is MIA sadly.

The only third party game I’m interested in is monster hunter wilds .
Please be a pre Xmas release Capcom

Hey Ticketmaster: this isn’t hard to do

Great list for Nintendo, horribly frightening list for Sony. Going to be hard to sell $1,000 PS6 if a lot of the same games are also releasing on Switch 2. Especially in Japan.

All Nintendo really has left to do is play nice with Hoyoverse and get Genshin Impact on Switch 2 like they’ve been saying for years now, along with all the rest of the gacha stuff, and they’ll own like 98% of the Japanese gaming market.

Still glad we got our Switch 2 for free from my wife’s job, Orbitals is about all I’m interested in, that I haven’t already played. FF7 Rev will be on PS5 w/ the other 2 1/2. By the time games start skipping PS5 and Switch 2 entirely for PS6 I should be done with gaming.

Onimusha day 1. Stoked!

Loving my Capcom system this year. Glad they allow Nintendo ports.

so far no release date for stellar blade maybe 2027 release date since the next few months are jam packed alrdy as it is.

@Highlar75 I got picked! I’m very curious too since they haven’t explained/showed anything and I’m not really into multiplayer games anymore but it will be cool checking it out without buying it. I wish the Elden Ring dlc was separate because I don’t want to spend $80

That's a crazy good list of titles. ❤️

Mass Effect Trilogy would be cool

@Ryu_Niiyama yeah, i know. Was just stating that there is even more 3rd party support and listed the ones in my wishlist

@electroplankton thats EA though. I do not expect them to release anything apart from their yearly sport games after being bought out.

@Friendly Sorry, I was confused by your phrasing then. You’d said “Nintendo is forgetting” which was confusing in context to the report. Sorry to have misunderstood.

Despite the excellent list of games, not too much creating personal excitement. 007 First Light was one until I saw the reviews on other systems. It just didn't look Bond in any way, from game design to the character. Perhaps Goldeneye is still so strongly imprinted on me.

Likely, reviews at the time will get me interested in other titles.

Where's Lego Batman?

@Ryu_Niiyama i could have been more clear indeed.

Bottom line: lots to look forward to!

Great list, but I'm missing many games that I will actually be getting for sure:
-Oblivion (August)
-Hell is Us (September)
-Trails in the Sky 2 (September)
-Moonlighter 2 (September)
-Lego Batman (September)
-Kingdom Hearts Collection (October)
-Tormented Souls 2 (October)

By the way, I think it's time to know the release dates for Duskbloods, 007, Stellar Blade and Professor Layton, right...?
