@samuelvictor totally agree, a slower moving fps would be quite unique as well as fitting in with my old person reactions 😀 I actually saw the 35th anniversary edition on the big screen in May as its also a fav of mine, and the game looks quite faithful in a lot of ways. Fingers crossed for this one

@Speedo if that turns out to be the case, hopefully this might mean that this is the beginning of a longer term infrastructure because it would seem a bit pointless otherwise, at this stage of the switch life cycle

I've been waiting since November for Europe to restock them. I found banjo so hard to play I gave up 😭

So 5 out of 6 of nintendos top selling systems of all time are portable systems. Interesting stuff as traditionally many think of consoles tethered to a TV as real video gaming. Hope nintendo fully support backwards compatibility with future switch systems and also the online eco system they are slowly putting together going forward

I've held off playing n64 waiting on the controller coming back in stock. Banjo was so difficult to control I decided to wait on everything else

I'll definitely be using my odeon unlimited pass again for this one. It'll look a bit odd in my list of seen films next door to 'X' and ambulance 😄

@EDWARD4444 that's literally one of my absolute top hopes, otherwise I might be looking more closely at steam deck or whatever is around at that point. Being honest, I'm still totally loving my switch and I'm in no rush at all. I started on a zx spectrum so I've literally played games that looked proper dog rough from the off

It's infuriating to see FIFA doing so well on switch. I'd have definitely bought a full fat fifa but I wouldn't consider it in its lazy legacy form.

On the final stretch of the xenoblade chronicles main story. I'll do the extra stories the a couple of shorter games I think

@Banjo- I've just ordered the xbox one version for four quid 😆. You're fault!! To be honest, mainly to relive my zx spectrum childhood days of jet pac, atic atac and all the 3d isometric games.

@Banjo- I bought my lad an xbox series x, when it launched, looking back I don't know how I even found one. I never bother with it though. If I see rare replay going cheap , I'll maybe pick it up

I'm glad Kate mentioned the awful camera on banjo kazooie, I thought I must've been missing something. Somehow I didn't buy it in the n64 era when I'm sure it was much more enjoyable

I couldn’t make heads nor tails of the story in the 1st one, I even watched a YouTube of all the cutscenes after I'd finished

@AcridSkull good effort, I can't match that although I'm well into the 200's. Was a bit of a mare when I gave the missus my og switch and upgraded to the oled (downloading the digital library)

I guess as far as nintendo are concerned, Sales figures of both hardware and software are the main barometer of its current state. It'll be interesting to see how steam deck fares in a couple of weeks time, although I don't expect it to particularly impact on the switches future figues

I bought my switch a month after launch and as a more mature gamer, it has revolutionised my relationship with games. It's instant on nature and full fat gaming is priceless to me and has led me to finish 150 hr plus titles I would never had achieved if i had to be thethered to a tv. I sincerely hope the next gen 'switches' are (large) incremental improvements to what we have now, and maintain backwards compatability

It never fails to amaze me what some of the community are capable of doing, modding, data mining etc. It would be nice to think their skills were recognised and put to good use

Xenoblade chronicles definitive edition is still eating all my gaming time. Considering I spent 130hrs with ni no kuni wotww before that , I may need to give some shorter games in my library a chance next

I've tried all of the cloud based demos on switch via (admittedly very good fibre optic) wired connection and found them to run pretty decent. I'm not hung up on having to own a physical cart, although I have about 20 or so. I really love having a collection on sd if I'm honest. My problem with it is the ridiculous prices. As I've said, I don't mind not owning, hell, I'd happily rent a game for a few quid for a month, were that an option, but the full rrp for essentially nothing is totally unacceptable

@Zuljaras same here, I'm in absolutely no rush for a new machine and even less interested if it doesn't respect my switch purchases 200 and counting. I love my switch above any of the previous 14 computers/consoles/handhelds I've owned. I think the semiconductor issue is a massive factor in why nintendo didn't add a pro model

Let's hope the games don't take as long to load. You could have literally typed in the code faster. I remember playing summer games with my mates, you could go for a ride round the village on your bmx in between loading events

@UglyCasanova pure nostalgia, for me too, although I was the dad who was watching with my son (still a child in my head though). Rita was my fav baddie. The power rangers toys that made us episode on netflix was a super cool look into how this all came to uk/us
