Rémi Gazel, the composer for Ubisoft's original Rayman game, has passed away after an ongoing battle with cancer. His wife shared this information on social media and said the funeral would take place at the end of this month.

Gazel was described on his website as a "self-taught musician" who was "passionate about digital technologies and the endless opportunities" they could offer. He was "ever-evolving" as an artist and his own "personal journey" allowed him to experiment in multiple creative fields ranging from music, digital art, video making to web design.

From everyone here at Nintendo Life, we extend our deepest sympathies to Mr Gazel's family, friends, and co-workers.
