I'm going to clue people in on a concept here that they aren't going to understand.
You. Aint. Gonna. Make. A. Game. For. Just. 100. Grand.
Sorry.
Not even 300 grand.
Maybe small indy companies that have experience cutting corners can do it, but not someone like Inafune.
The whole kickstarter concept isn't about funding a project, its about getting a production company to PICK IT UP.
They figure "enough people back this, it shows that there is a serious interest and maybe some big player will buy the project if they see a lot of money thrown at it".
So they lie to you, make promises they'll never fulfill and you fall for it.
You know, the charging cradle from the original 3DS was a pretty charming, albeit nonsensical concept.
I don't mind it, and I wouldn't mind having one just for the convenience of sitting my system down on a base. But honestly, its not that hard to plug in a chord to the back of the console.
A good story has a beginning, middle, and end, not a cliff hanger, not an ending that you feel warrants thirty sequels to quell a fandom's thirst. A good story is satsifying, it can leave things open for sequels, but maybe sometimes its best to rest the characters from the first story, give them a break.
I get tired of watching the poor people from resident evil getting stuck in the same damn situations over and over.
The only problem I have with the e-shop is accessibility, to be honest I have a hard time finding certain things. Its not like sony or microsofts set up where its categorized really nicely.
But the whole 'digitalization' concept isn't a great one, and denying it is just good business practice. You never own digital games, you can't resell them, you can't pass them down to other people, its a racket. Its a rental, and that is all it'll ever be.
I wish America had a business practice like Japan. We believe in artificially inflating the value of things and creating 'prestige' in owning rare items, instead of playing with the idea that hey, maybe everyone deserves a shot to buy one of these bad boys.
Keep on top of it folks and this crap wont happen.
I own all the amiibos I wanted, with the only one I missed being little mac because I snoozed.
Eat your wheaties, wake up early, check the hell out of online sells and pay attention and you'll get what you want. This is how scalpers do it, think like a scalper and you'll get your precious figures.
You have all the same opportunities the scalpers have. Get out there and buy the damn thing before everyone else does. That is what scalpers do. They go through the trouble of finding the product before everyone else (sometimes driving as far as a hundred miles to pick it up) then sell it to you at a premium that you SHOULD pay as a service for their effort.
You have all the same abilities as them. If scalpers are such a 'big problem' just stop buying the damn things from the scalpers.
Of course a game maker is going to like steam-- its a cheap platform to release a bunch of garbage games. Sure, steam has thousands of games, but 98 percent of them are crap.
On top of that, download only services are a flippin' scam. You never own the game, so no matter what a 'deal' you get it for, you're still just renting it.
Mario 64's remake on the original 3DS is everything a remade game should be, it brought all that made the original great plus fixed a good deal of its problems while adding a buttload of new things to it.
Could someone POLITELY tell me if there is even a release date for either the english or Japanese version of this game yet? I want it, but I can't pre-order it anywhere.
There should never be tv shows produced for video games at all. Its a step down, when that god awful final fantasy film came out all I could think is "Oh great, its final fantasy where you have absolutely no control over what is going on and no sense of accomplishment when its over... they stripped it of its redeeming qualities. Sweet."
If we continue to let injustices like this exist, soon you'll have to share your profits if you're a home builder with the material providers long after the initial sales has closed.
This is unconstitutional, this is criminal, and it should be abolished. In the end, its just going to hurt Nintendo more than help them. Stop bending the rules corporations, it will eventually bite you in the ass.
Fun fact; there was no real court hearing about this entire situation. What happened was nintendo got their lawyers together and got pissy with youtube, the whole 'you have to give us money for using footage from our games' argument is not only unconstitutional, its criminal.
It'd be like me being a paint maker, you buy the paint, paint your house, then sell it-- then me coming along down the line and saying I deserve a profit from your house sales because you used my paint to sell it.
What someone does with a nintendo product after the sale is their business. So many youtubers playing games actually help the games sales, nintendo should look at it as free advertising.
I find this particularly annoying because I review toys and what happens when I review a nintendo toy on youtube, are they going to want profits from my reviews? Even though I'm giving their toy free advertisement and possible endorsement. This is just wrong.
No. Its bad enough Mario Kart 8 made it painfully easy to unlock everything, games need to be a challenge. If you're not good at them, GET GOOD at them or play something else. I'm all for accessibility, but there is almost no reason to play mario kart 8 offline after you've unlocked all the characters.
I miss the days of having to get ridiculously good scores to unlock that one final track/character. Those days are over.
You're never going to be able to buy official licensed nintendo games on a smartphone.
Maybe nintendo will make their own phone someday, but that is highly unlikely.
Just get over it, complaining about no nintendo games on your phone is like complaining that your car can't fly. Sure it'd be great, but its not ever going to happen.
As someone who resales things for a living; you have to respect the fact that this is part of the game. Ruby and Sapphire for the GBA's bloated value has come down some since the release of omega and alpha.
Yeah, the industry has changed to become politically correct bullpoooooooooooop.
I'm native American and people of my race have put up with bullpooooooooooop representations of our people in media since popculture came into existence.
But most of us get over it because we know the difference between racialism and racism. Racialism is the act to pointing out mostly uniquely racial qualities. I.E. African American's excelling at sports, asians being smart, ect ect. Racism is the act of fearing or out right hating another person for the sole purpose of their race.
For example, you walk up to a arabic person and tell them they're a terrorist pig and you're going to kill them. That is racism, not showing a black man eating fried chicken, not showing a native american with a bow an arrow-- that is racialism. If there is no blatant hate or fear behind it, its racial, not racist. We need to learn this as a society.
Also, how the hell else are you going to tell what country a gameboy game is displaying with its limited technological capabilities? You'll have to show a stereotype to emphasize the global knowledge of that country. Africa has aboriginal people and elephants, why is anyone offended by this?
If they showed the prosperous parts of africa, say the buildings and cities, people wouldn't have recognized the locale.
@MasterBlaster Yeah, its not 'that' kind of stalking. He didn't want to screw me, at least I don't think he did. He wanted to ruin my life, wanted to beat me up, hurt my pets, that sort of thing. He succeeded in hurting some people really close to me. Its not a very fun subject to discuss, but I bring it up because people who have experienced real harassment/rape/or anything like it see this sort of nonsense as being just THAT.
Nonsense. This cheapens the value of the term sexual harassment and worst of all; brings all sorts of unwanted attention to the victim, which is more damaging than the actual act of harassment in many cases.

I went to the police about it, I didn't gang up on social media and try to ruin my stalker's life. The law exists for a reason-- this poopypoop is just plain revenge nonsense.
Also everything I'm reading that this guy said is fricken child's play to compared to some of the nonsense I see women put up with at these kind of get-togethers. But then again, that is a whole other subject.

Kay is a problem. Tournaments are filled with smack talk, bad talk, and all sorts of other unpleasant things. Don't like it, don't go to them.
People wont always say things you like and they will say mean things to you, screwing with someone's job because of it is just a low and powerless way of getting revenge and revenge is for the weak.
Grow a pair. Grow up. This is life, stop ruining people's lives because they hurt your ego.
I hope nintendo doesn't fix it. There are quite a few japanese games I'll be buying if this exploit never gets fixed.
Basically what I'm sayin' is someone will be making money if they don't fix this exploit. Some company that made the game will be selling another copy. I fail to see anything wrong with this.

There are far better fantasy films and books out there and yet they get no attention.

Re: Video: What If Super Mario World Was A 3D Classic?
Lets just make a bunch of Super NES games 3D.

Actually you know what, lets do it for pretty much any nintendo game.
I'm thinking Mario Sunshine.

I could do with more of nintendo's old practice of less talking and more game.
The constant talking in kid icarus was usually not very funny and mostly annoying.

To be completely honest, if they had never spoke about it publicly, would you have even known how to exploit the system?
I look for the next generation nintendo consoles to no longer use internet browsers anymore, or memory sticks. Too many exploits.
Which is sad because some exploits aren't harmful to any form of high business.
