Re: 3DS Hack Removes Region Locking For Retail Cartridges

AugustusOxy

@russellohh

Can I have your job where you make 300-400 dollars a day?

Considering the pretentious nature of your comment, your parents probably buy all of your consoles and you probably haven't worked a day in your life.

Some of us have responsibilities and just "buying a brand new console' to play one or two japanese games that SHOULD be accessible over here is just ridiculous.

Import consoles are not CHEAP, they have inflated prices for all sorts of reasons, be it conversion or just the process of purchasing it. So take your flawed richboy logic elsewhere.

Re: 3DS Hack Removes Region Locking For Retail Cartridges

AugustusOxy

Hate to say it, but nintendo could make money off the import scene.

They could A: Allow Japanese games, untranslated to be downloaded from the e-shop. Or B: make a PAID application that plays Japanese games.

I'd buy it, there are a few games I'd like to play, and a lot of them don't have steep learning curves.

C'mon nintendo. Seriously.

Re: Nintendo Acknowledges Network Issues and Suggests Patience

AugustusOxy

Gotta love that holiday lag.

Happened so bad one year for Xbox360 and the next year for PS3 because of the vast amount of people getting consoles for christmas.

Its annoying and I really wish they'd 'prepare' for the rush, but I can live with it. Just sad because I was getting ready to go make a purchase.

Re: Mighty No. 9 Studio Comcept Facing Fan Backlash Over Community Manager Appointment

AugustusOxy

YEAH! How dare those people who paid for the games production get mad because someone they don't like might screw up what they put their hard earned money toward.

Damn them for wanting things to be done the way they expected when they generously donated their money.

You guys are tools for thinking they don't have the right to be annoyed by this worthless snob getting the position she got.

Re: Former Pikmin Director Currently Working On "Original Title" for Nintendo

@DarkwingLz

Yes, but even if a Mario game is really good, it doesn't change the fact that we are getting sick of the scenery. I wouldn't mind playing a platformer that is just as good as Mario but with different characters/settings.

There is nothing wrong with the idea of starting new. Personally, I get tired of wearing the same shirt after a while and go out looking for a new one.

Nintendo is a master of giving us stuff we didn't know we wanted. I'd say no one in the world knew they wanted Zelda, Pikmin, or even Smash Bros until they got it. All these things started out as fresh ideas in their day.

Re: Poll: As the PS4 Arrives, What Do You Think of the 'New Gen' Environment for Wii U?

AugustusOxy

@BlatantlyHeroic

What statistics? Internet rhetoric and bad publicity on Xbox's part does not = instant success for the PS4.

The wii-u and the ps4/xboxone are not even competing on the same plane and people need to stop looking at it like that.

At the end of the day, developers will not be dishing out the ridiculous amount of money its going to cost to make games for the PS4/Xboxone, they will turn to PC gaming (where their product will be pirated beyond belief) or go to the Wii-u. This is how the Wii dominated the first two thirds of the last generation, appealing to the budget of smaller developers and japanese companies who will still be developing games for the ps3 for another three to four years.

And if people forget, the PSP and PS3 where the two most returned/traded in consoles of all time. OF ALL TIME.

Re: Nintendo Releases New Pikmin 3 DLC in North America

AugustusOxy

The DLC should be free, considering the price of Pikmin 3 versus the content in the game.

It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to short, even with the extra modes. Stay away keyboard warriors-- I'm a consumer who cares about the value of his buck and if I like something, I don't like it to end JUST as its getting good.

Re: EA: Being Voted The Worst Company In America Was "A Wake Up Call"

AugustusOxy

EA Didn't deserve that vote, as much as people think they did, they simply did not.

This just shows you what happens when the voting is done on the internet instead of elsewhere. A bunch of butthurt video game nerds will pick a company that does bad video game related stuff, not a real bad company the ya know, causes oil spills or harms the environment.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Safe and Family-Friendly Focus is Integral to Its Fortunes

AugustusOxy

@Reala

Then lets ban all communication in general! In-fact, lets segregate all children and adults into two separate societies to protect them! Then lets put all kids in solitary confinement so they never do anything that is typical of their age.

While we're at it, lets put helmets on all the kids too, cut their hands off, that way they can't pick up anything dangerous...

Ooh, and their legs too, sot hey don't trip and fall.

This is how ridiculous all of you who agree with this sound.

Re: Flipnote Studio 3D Friends Gallery Disabled in Japan

AugustusOxy

I think its BS. Moderating what your children do is your job as a parent, stop having technology raise your kid. You can impact parental controls on your kid's console, stop having us responsible adults punished because you're a crap parent.

Take your shame-rage somewhere else and I hope your lawyers burn in hell.

Re: Nintendo Disables Swapnote's SpotPass Service Due to Online Safety Concerns

AugustusOxy

Pointless. This isn't saving any children's live's, only punishing those of us not stupid enough to miss-use the software. Nintendo is only doing this to avoid legal issues.

Parents should be responsible and research products before they get them for their kids, the damn console has a parental control setting for a reason. If you're too irresponsible to know what you're buying your kid, don't fork the money out for it.

Now the rest of us are being punished because a group of idiot parents can't be bothered to not let electronics raise their children. News flash though; if they can get-online and go on forums with their computers, they can do all sorts of dirty nasty things without swapnote.

Pointless.

Re: Pokémon Developers: Paid DLC Could "Ruin The Worldview" of The Franchise

AugustusOxy

I don't get the hate for DLC. A long time ago PC games capitalized on the concept of expansions and they were worth it. Then DLC reached a certain stage in which people were stupid enough to pay ten dollars for virtual clothes and crap (I blame Sony) and now the general belief that PAYING for an expansion to a good game is a bad idea.

If I can get another like, ten hours of gameplay, story, and even some new pokemon for like, seven bucks, I'd pay for it.

Re: Talking Point: Pokémon X & Y's Grand Global Release Plan Has, Sadly, Been Undermined

AugustusOxy

Oh call them a wahmbulance. We've made it before with Japan getting the game like six months ahead of us, a few days/weeks difference isn't going to kill it.

I for one am not a fan of blindly buying a game and knowing absolutely nothing about it.

If you are, that's fine, but stop calling the leakers bad people, its your choice to go on sites that are filled with leaked photos and information.

Re: Mighty No. 9 Sets an Ambitious 3DS Stretch Goal

AugustusOxy

Pretty bad that we live in a day in age where we have to PAY to have games made. Used to not be like this, until it became like, pretty much impossible to make a game anymore under a certain amount.

What if everyone donates all this money and the game turns out to be crap?
