I have not bought a single Switch game this year. They've really dropped the ball on delivering a consistent release schedule - something they promised they were going to fix with the Switch.

Unfortunately, indie games aren't going to do it for me. I refuse to buy indie games that I already have or could get on PC for a lot cheaper.

And with the 3DS appearing to be officially dead, one has to wonder what Nintendo has been doing all this time that they had so little to show at E3.

It feels like Nintendo is struggling behind the scenes to make progress on titles. What have they been working on for the last year? The slim number of releases for 2018 after an awesome 2017 is rather jarring.

After an amazing 2017, I just can't believe that 2018 looks to be a complete bust except for Smash. Nintendo seems to have lost their momentum.

I always have to laugh at people who feel its their job to go white-knighting in the comments section every time there's an article relating to emulation.

Anyways, I hope this project means we get some Wii classics on Switch.

Clickbait headline and photo, to be honest. They are only talking about requiring gyro, which only needs slight movements. Why did you use the photo of the kid throwing his joy-con, when that is clearly not what this is about? And then you use the "Secure those wrist straps" tagline to once again suggest that this about throwing the joy-con when it is not.

Switch-era Nintendo has been rather greedy Nintendo, so this does not surprise me.

Could've fooled me. Seems like every store in my area has either gotten rid of them or nearly gotten rid of them, with the remaining ones on sale prices.

Seems like SEGA was hoping to hide this from consumers. Really scummy.

As a Nintendo and PC gamer, I've already resigned myself to thinking of the Switch as only for Nintendo games, since third parties will apparently thumb their nose at Nintendo no matter how successful they are, and the indie games on the system often charge twice as much as they do on Steam.

I'm honestly surprised Nintendo approved of this. My how times have changed.....

I was wondering what they were going to do since only Helix was left without a Party Crash. This seems like a completely random pairing and kind of disappointing.

I'm old enough to remember when Capcom packaged these games into one collection instead of two.

Nintendo wanted $100 to repair the down direction of the d-pad on my New 3DS XL that had started going wonky and not always activating.

And now I have to send out my wife's 3DS XL because the A button is starting to do the same thing.

And I also had to send in my old 3DS XL twice because of the design flaw whereby the bottom bezel scratches the top screen.

And my old DS Lite suffers from the infamous cracked hinge. Never bothered to send it in since it was purely cosmetic.

Nintendo hardware quality just isn't what it used to be.

@Shiryu True story: a few years ago I tried to order that game from NewEgg since it was the only place I could find a new copy at the time. Both times I ordered it, NewEgg sent me a pair of really old headphones instead. NewEgg customer support was baffled as to why that was, but they finally sent me the game and let me keep the old headphones.

Oh good, two more sword users. That should fix the imbalance between the number of sword users vs axes and spears.

Would Nintendo be above purposefully doing this to create fear of third-party peripherals so people stick to the overpriced Nintendo ones?

Not sure, but Nintendo under Kimishima's leadership has certainly dialed up the greed level to 11.

A very fun vehicle building mechanic - in my opinion - if you enjoy that kind of gameplay. I understand the hate the game got for not being a traditional platformer, but I thought Nuts & Bolts was a good game in its own right.

Port confirmed? Or at least a confirmation that Smash is using the Wii U game as a base and just adding to it. Seems like quite a fast turnaround time for a Smash game.

@RickRau5 That's my point. I was addressing people who were dismissing concerns about bricking by saying "it's not a dock", when it is indeed a dock - just one without HDMI. Bricking concerns are therefore valid.

What? The only real difference between this and the Nintendo dock is the lack of an HDMI port. I can see why some people would be concerned about it bricking their Switch.

The lack of an HDMI port also happens to be why I am not interested in this.

Haven't the reports of Nyko docks bricking Switch consoles been happening since before the 5.0 update?

@Agramonte If only there were some kind of event in June where 3rd party and AAA games traditionally get announced....

Hopefully something that wasn't already released on Steam years ago and sells for half the price there?
