@graysoncharles Let's be honest here. Capcom clearly intends to support the Switch almost exclusively with overpriced old ports. If their continued support depends on me working against my best interest as a consumer, then I say good riddance. I can get all of their games much cheaper on Steam. I got these three games, for example, for $20 TOTAL.

This problem started because too many people paid $40 for Ultra Street Fighter 2. From that point on, Capcom realized they had a market for overpriced old ports.

Personally, I'm tired of publishers hanging this sword of Damocles over Nintendo fans with their "buy our overpriced old ports or we won't make any more games on your system, which would have been more overpriced old ports anyway". I'd rather a publisher stop supporting the system than to be treated that way.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play Resident Evil 0, 1, & 4 on Steam, where I bought them for $20 total.

I'll admit, that photo of Miyamoto, Iwata and Reggie together made me shed a tear.

Every time there's an NPD article, a brigade of PushSquare fanboys come in here to mass downvote anybody making a positive comment about Switch sales.

How insecure are you to feel the need to do that? Just enjoy your games of choice and let others enjoy theirs.

@Trajan You're comparing 2019 SD card prices, forgetting the fact that Switch launched in March 2017. SD card prices were higher at that time for the same storage space.

For example, the Samsung Ultra 400 GB micro SD card was selling for $250 on Amazon in January 2018. These days, they sell it for $80.

Unfortunately, Atlus has been doing this with all their recent 3DS titles. Etrian Odyssey Nexus also won't have it.

I hope there is at least the option to turn voices off entirely. I find Japanese voice acting to be grating to the ears. Everyone sounds pre-pubescent and constantly shrieking (I know, I'm exaggerating a little bit).

Thank you to the homebrew community for preserving the WiiWare library, the vast majority of which will never see release again and would be lost to time without your effort.

@DigDoug91 You don't need a dongle to connect an 8bitdo controller wirelessly to Switch. I am currently using the SN30 Pro on my Switch - no dongle needed.

One time, I tried to order a copy of Spartan: Total Warrior for Gamecube from Newegg. Instead, I received a pair of really old headphones.

Customer Support told me to keep the item and order the game again through their site, so I did............and I got the same pair of old headphones.

They let me keep the second pair as well and finally fixed the issue by just placing the order themselves.

Once they hired Jim Carrey, I knew this would be bad.

But this just confirms it.

Dang, should've held off on buying Diablo 3. Feels bad man.

That screenshot of Civilization 1 brings back memories. I got the game as part of a CD collection of games that came with my computer CD-rom drive purchase (back when that was a thing in the 90's).

My favorite one of all time has to be Civ 3.

Sounds like the subscriber numbers are actually disappointing; they are probably holding back until after Smash releases to see if they can boost it up to a good number that they can crow about to investors.

I'm sorry, but which dummy asked this question at the Q&A? Do they not realize that porting first-party titles would completely destroy Nintendo's hardware business? Those titles are the main compelling reason for people to buy Nintendo hardware!

This is why I dislike investors - they only see the short-term money to be made and don't consider or care about the long term consequences.

There's really no winning on the issue of how much content to reveal. Unfortunately, the expectation has been set for Pokemon games that ALL content will have been revealed by launch. Any content held back is non-existent content as far as gamers are concerned.

Wasn't there a character in the last game that was a trophy but then got released as a playable character? And so when someone uses that character, their assist trophy never appears? 🤔

Mario Kart is a beast franchise.

Mario Party 10 being one of the top selling titles on Wii U is sad considering how mediocre it is. Probably the worst entry in the franchise aside from Mario Party Advance.

The irrational hatred towards Waluigi and his fans is both amusing and disturbing.

Fans of other characters petitioned hard for them, and some succeeded (Ridley? K Rool?)

Waluigi fans are trying to do the same. No need for ridicule and scorn.
