Re: Talking Point: How Often Do You Make The 'Switch Sacrifice'?

AlphaElite

I don't have many opportunities to take advantage of Switch's portability, so if a game comes out on PC I will buy it there instead of on Switch. My Switch is only for exclusives I can't get on PC.

This also helps me avoid the "Switch tax" that makes the games more expensive - sometimes significantly so - than what it is sold for on PC.

Re: Street Fighter 4 Producer Had A "Revolutionary" Idea To Make The Game A Turn-Based Simulation

AlphaElite

This idea sort of sounds like the StreetPass mode in the 3DS version of the game, where you picked a fighter and picked some moves ahead of time. Every time you passed another person with the game, your fighter would battle the other person's fighter. The winner was determined by a combination of stats and how well your move selection did against the other person's.

Re: Atlus Is Releasing Persona 5 Scramble In Japan Next February

AlphaElite

Look, let's be honest. When Atlus teased a "P5S" name, they knew people would assume that it was a P5 Switch port. And they used that to build up hype for the announcement of this game.

They know what Switch owners want, and they took advantage of that to get us to pay attention to a different game.

So yeah, sorry if some of us are a little miffed about that.

Re: Review: Ring Fit Adventure - Fitness Fun For Everyone

Good to know that I'm not the only person with issues with the leg strap. It slips too much and I have to pull on it rather hard to get it strapped to the point where it won't move too much. I feel like I'm going to break it.

Also, the share button on the left joy-con seems to press itself several times during the workout. Weird.

Re: So, AtGames Is Having A Crazy Week

AlphaElite

@SmaggTheSmug They created an unauthorized Ms. Pac-Man cabinet, so they did indeed do something wrong here. They do not own the IP, only the rights to a revenue share. They also aren't keeping up their agreement with Walgreens to refund them for returned merchandise, which suggests AtGames is having a cash flow problem.

Re: So, AtGames Is Having A Crazy Week

AlphaElite

Since AtGames only owns the revenue share and not the IP, Namco should respond by not allowing Ms. Pac-Man to be used anywhere until AtGames transfers their agreement to Namco.

Good luck getting a revenue share of an IP that has no product.
