Re: Nintendo Cracks Down On The Super Mario 64 PC Port

Okay, fine. Protect your IP. That’s your right. However, there wouldn’t be a reason to put these things up if you would get the ball rolling on a proper, HD, virtual console on the Switch. Sony and Microsoft continually do this on their systems, yet you stopped with the Wii U.

SWSH have nothing on the polished gameplay of RE2make, Luigi’s Mansion 3, or Fire Emblem: Three Houses. If we’re counting Persona 5 Royal, that’s an instant knockout. Pokemon simply cannot compete with the level of polish and work done with Persona 5’s turn-based battle system, challenging bosses, choices and activities that actually impact the in-game world and character as a whole, and it even has the monster collecting aspect. This is also not mentioning the amazing soundtrack and glorious menus.

Re: Capcom's Former GameCube Exclusive Resident Evil 4 Is Reportedly Getting A Remake

Good, because Re4 started a terrible trend. Make it into a proper survival horror, and make it less linear.

@NoTinderLife I would rather have updated classics than another mess like Re5 and Re6. Not to mention, a lot of good concepts were poorly executed in classic games (Re4 being a prime example).

@GrailUK Final Fantasy Remake is far different for the original. Remakes are good.

@Xaessya You’re arguing against actual game data that prevents horses from running into trees, unless you use manual steering. Then, just like in real life, it’s all on you. Either let the horse do its thing or take control and be good at it. There is not an in-between when it comes to horses. It’s a trade of mutual trust that whichever is taking the lead at whichever moment knows what they’re doing.

Re: One Of Pokémon's Largest Fan Communities Bans Dynamaxing In Competitive Matches

-Juice-

Makes logical sense. They’re using all of the Pokemon in their Meta. Could you imagine the terrifying power of Dynamaxed Landorous?

They’ll likely have a separate tier for it.

@Blizzia You’ve got it all wrong. Smogon bans certain things in order to make the meta more strategic and less chance based. That said, they have various tiers, so you can play the meta in many exciting ways with many different Pokemon. Dynamax will probably get its own tier (might even be combined with ubers). I think you should give the competitive community a fair assessment before jumping on hate trains.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Pokédex Contains A Dire Warning About Climate Change

-Juice-

@Selene Sounds like hubris to me. The very notion that humans can harm the world, but not irreparably throw it out of balance is a foolish one. The only people who gain from that ideology are corporations that only care about finite gain and power.

Climate change is just as real as the nukes every powerful country hoards in their basement. The world is headed towards one ultimatum at this point, yet no one wants to accept it.

Re: There's "No Way" Future Smash Bros. Games Will Have As Many Fighters As Ultimate, Says Sakurai

-Juice-

@martynstuff It’s not the loss of the National Dex that made fans mad. It wasn’t even the excuses/lies that Game Freak gave, but rather how inconsistent they were with them. Each time they were asked why Pokemon were getting cut they’d tell a new story. First it was “too many to fit on switch”, then it was “we had to sacrifice Pokemon for the animations”, then when that didn’t go well they changed it to “we redid every model, to look exactly the same as the 3DS models!!”

This had just been stewing for a while. A lot had been angry before when they would remove core features like poffin cooking, secret bases, the underground, contests, the battle frontier, Pokemon following you, the PWT. Combine that with the increasing linearity in route design, as well as a lack of true post game exploration content because Masuda started scrapping that when he took charge (he has a very mobile-phone related mindset for the franchise, look at his 3DS interviews), it is understandable that fans would reach a breaking point.

Re: Doug Bowser Says Nintendo Is "Closely Watching" Streaming Technologies

-Juice-

"Could it be the future of gaming!?"

You'd be losing revenue from everyone who does not live in a city, because their connections would be unable to support this. Besides, streaming would only encourage the terrible money grabbing practices we see in gaming already. Some of you here are too short-sighted and are contributing to the problem.
