Honestly very disappointed in this game. I've seen tons of gameplay and it doesn't look anywhere even close to the level of polish a game this expensive should have. You can definitely tell this was a rush job to port this to switch 2.

I look forward to seeing how they continue to tank the pokemon franchise with low quality yearly releases.

Nintendo is doing a great job of encouraging people to just buy a switch 1 with mario kart 8 deluxe instead.

They dont like that others are doing monster catching games better than them. Considering its been over two decades since the last good pokemon game, I'm glad palworld is rising from pokemons ashes.

This proves people will buy anything as long as it has the pokemon name on it.

@johnvboy I've watched the reveal trailer a few times now and it really doesn't look that much different from Mario Kart 8, game that's over a decade old now.

I expect it to finally be able to run 8th generation quality games but that might be shooting for the moon a bit. Based on what we saw from that new Mario Kart game, it's not going to be much of a step up from the Switch 1

Breath of the wild and xenoblade x on this list? Really? Open worlds are supposed to have things to do. Not a bunch of empty grass plains. I think if those two were released on the gamecube it might be worth talking about but on the switch there's tons of way better open world games.

They should go their separate ways. Maybe if Pokemon was actually forced to be on a modern console the games could be halfway decent.

I doubt it'll be able to compete with the steam deck. It's been the best handheld gaming device released in almost a decade.

Are we actually surprised by this though? They have been too lazy to put in more than half the pokemon in any game for the past decade. I don't see why one of their mobile games would be any different.

This is why virtual console (or ideally physical) will always be better. You don't own these games. It's a scam.

Pokemon hasn't had any style for about 20 years now. This would probably be impressive if it were released during the ps2 days. But in 2025? This is just another rushed game to make money.

The switch online is going lag so much. They could barely handle half that in the previous game.

@Leu10antFalcon I'm not saying it's not a step up from the switch (a 7th generation console). But it's not going to suddenly skip it's way past a generation to be a 9th generation console. Especially since they decided to showcase a mario kart game that looks like exactly the same as Mario Kart 8.

@Leu10antFalcon 9th generation consoles are the ps5 and xbox series x. There's 0% chance the switch 2 is on the same level as those. Nintendo has always lagged behind a generation sadly.

Leaks didn't damage it at all. if anything, Nintendo being so secretive and waiting forever just to show a teaser without any release date or price info is what damaged them.

I looked on the switch eshop but I can't find palworld anywhere? Did it get taken down? I keep seeing a bunch of articles about this game on nintendolife so I was going to give it a try on my nintendo switch but I can't seem to find it.
