Re: Check Out Two Of The Game Modes Coming To V-Rally 4 On Switch

I bought Gear club for my son and I could not get into it. The cars don't feel right. It feels like a bad old game. The customization is okay but it's not what I thought it would be. My son loves the game but it doesn't click with me.

If this game has drifting, rally racing, and sprints then it would be more of what I want. Usually you can't customize cars in rally games so I'm still undecided.

@7Levels I played through most of the second chapter and it was a noticeable difficulty increase but I like it. You just have to manage your weapons and surroundings to overcome it. With that being said I am happy easy mode is an option so people do not miss this game. The platforming is cool and neat while the combat it is engaging. I'll go through it on normal for the best experience. Thank you for replying to us and I hope you have more luck with this game and in the future.

Re: Capcom Says Ultra Street Fighter II And Monster Hunter XX Enjoyed Hit Status

@TsukiDeity i feel the same way. It had a lot of charm and it was unique. World is awesome and I enjoy it but there are many changes that affected this. Gunner and Blademaster armor has been put into one set which takes away from the variety of armors you can have and affects the learning curve that was necessary for gunners. Now everyone and anyone can use a gun which is good but it attracts people that think of it as nothing more than a shooting game. There were some cool monsters but very few that were amazing and unique as some introduced in past entries. Just in generations we got astalos, glavenus, mizutsune, and gammoth that had amazing designs. I'm not in love with the new monsters except legiana. There are cool monsters in world but their armor and/or weapons is useless or they don't have weapons. Where are the weapons for lavasioth, dodogama and many other monsters in the game? People aren't making friends like they did in other games. You drop in and out then lose them. Well i have a hard time finding friends there. You just go to an sos and you get what you need. The maps are a bit too big and too few. I have a feeling they will add a snow place later requiring players to use hot drinks. They are definitely not as vibrant as the past.

Sorry for the ramble and i don't hate the game, it's just not what got me hooked in the first place. I liked making different armors and weapons for looks, fighting monsters because they were fun to fight and nice to look at. I used to have hunting groups that i would find there and hunt with for hours. None of this was done intentionally to ostracize the old crowd but to bring a new crowd. It is what it should be for a console but in gaining a new crowd they simplified the game.

The game looks good and i am interested after seeing Alex's video. The switch is not short of good games to play but we do have to be open minded and try indies. The main games are coming and I'm sure indies will still get attention then. Most of them are perfect for portable and not for high powered home consoles.

Re: Playtonic Games is Working on Unity Issues for Yooka-Laylee on Switch

I'm still going to buy this again after already owning the xbox version. I honestly did not see much wrong with it. The camera was an issue for a lot of people but they already released the update for that and it is confirmed to be in the switch version on day 1. The genre always received the same criticism so the reviewers are still using that to give them a bad score. Don't listen to reviews but listen to people who are fans of the genre and recognize the talent in playtonic.
