Yacht Club Games Announces More Shovel Knight amiibo

I would've loved for a fully custom character function like with the Shovel Knight amiibo. I hope I'm able to use them in Travis Strikes Again in some form.

What do I even just watch!? Also, gotta preorder them amiibos.

Ayyy p excited by these, there design is great and functionality seems somewhat worth it. I'll be buying for collecting anyways. Also that trailer made me not want to buy it so much anymore.

I would consider Plague Knight if there was an option to get just one, I really don't care about the others.

And who's going to sell these besides Amazon and Nintendo UK's own online store? Most retailers have given up on SCamiibo. And the remaining people interested are getting screwed by scalpers. Gamestop sell some though not all the new SCamiibo as they are announced, but you have to pre-order. Also, the dirty things have gone up in price. They used to be £11 but are now £13 for newer SCamiibo.

I have no idea what was going on with that trailer but at the same time I will be pre-ordering this. Getting 3 more amiibo, all pretty nicely designed, I feel will be quite entertaining to add to my collection. This will probably be 35 USD like most triple packs.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE GAME will, at least in the UK. Also this is your daily reminder that just because only two or three retailers now sell them in the UK or Eire, that does not represent the situation in the rest of Europe or America.

They look nice. Can they be scanned whilst in the box like the original Shovel Knight Amiibo?

@gortsi GAME aren't in Ireland anymore. They went into administration because they were a dirtbag company. They still are. Gamestop are the only store selling SCamiibo in Ireland now, but like I said it's hit and miss and you have to pre-order to have any chance. They're another dirtbag company. Smyths and Argos are completely finished with the little scammy plastic toys.

That trailer was strangely arousing. Too much Shovel goodness.

I don't think I could pre-order these fast enough (sadly, I may not be able to).

Definitely happy to see more Shovel Knight love, but am slightly concerned at the "quality" of these. Colors do look a bit off and lackluster, and considering how vivid some of the more recent amiibo have been turning out (come to me, squishy Metroid...), I hope we'll see a change before release.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE like I said,this is not an Irish or UK website. Smyths doesn't sell any toys to life figures anymore except for any skylanders they have left and Argos UK has 51 amiibo on their website as I write. Toys R Us also sells them. It's not Nintendo's fault Irish retailers don't stock them

Interesting that only the developers of a nerdcore indie hit has put this much effort into entering the amiibo program.

They're sure to sell some of these to the die hard fans though.

That video is hilarious, Shovel Knight is one of my favourite Indies and it is a shame they are only doing King Knight and then stopping, i want to know the background of Polar Knight and Tinker Knight.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Just out of curiosity, what would you do if you were in charge of amiibo functionality? Getting rid of them isn't a option sense it's obviously a big money maker.

I bought treasure trove but couldnt get into it , which is a shame because so many people really rate it.
I'll give it another shot when i finish mario + rabbids.

Ugh, not a fan of packs. I only want specter Knight, but not enough to buy the other two. Packs are the reason I never got K.K. Slider, and why I still don't have Alm.

Is Shovel Knight a $20 game? And this amiibo 3-pack will likely cost $35. So for the price of the amiibo 3 pack I think you should unlock the entire game. Seems kind of stupid what $35 unlocks in a $20 game.

And since most people buying this 3 pack will probably already own the game, well they probably wouldn't really be selling too many games that way.

I do like the look of the amiibo, they seem nice, but that's how the DLC math works for me.

@rjejr Well you know Smash is a $60 game and the DLC for that is around $1000 if you want everything

I'm not even a big fan of the game, but I still got the original Shovel Knight amiibo 'cos I liked the design and it came kinda cheap. If there is a chance to get these at a reasonable price as well, I might go for them, too

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Ireland does not have amiibos? Are you sure? Even in Greece, with its poor economy, where I live, has hundreds of shops selling amiibos!!! And amiibos are fun and nice to look at. Buy one and stare at it for a minute. You'll get the idea. It's magic! So magical that you'll stop being negative for the millionth time. Try it and full of positive vibes will surround you.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I still like buying amiibo to an extent but their stock issues continue to persist. I can only speak of my local gamestop but it only received 3 orders of the upcoming samus returns amiibo for the entire store and I was one of them. The clerk told me that people had been coming in asking for one and they unfortunately had to turn them away. Both him and I chatted briefly about how we wished Nintendo wasn't so stingy with supply because he says that happens a lot at his store with popular Nintendo products

@SLIGEACH_EIRE all the stores around still sell Amiibo. All the best Best (Worst) Buy, Walmart, Gamestop's & Targets in this area constantly have them, new stock mind u and they're still selling it seems. None of these stores around your area?

@Grumblevolcano Yeah, but SSB4 is old news - even if the last amiibo just came out a month or so ago - that's been beaten to death. No reason not to call this out for what I think about it.

It's funny on how both here and PS they always end articles asking for our input, then we usually get lambasted in the comments for actually replying to their own questions if we don't tow the company line. I mean, have you ever seen damo write something in the comments that wasn't lambasting someone?
