It's strange how many people like the gamecube version more. Personally I liked the wii controls way more! I think as long as there is a decent graphical difference between the two then I will definitely go for NX. Whereas the wii and gamecube were only a step up from each other, the wii u and NX may possibly be a very big difference.

There were some major bonuses to having wii remote controls IMO it was much much easier to use the bow on horseback with the remote and I'm absolutely gutted at how much better the fishing game was on the wii version. I like the HD update but I do miss the pointer controlled aspects and wii remote noises. I know many feel very differently but I would of welcomed the option. On the other hand the game pad screen is fantastic, really love that feature.

Yellow was the first pokemon game I ever played and I've been hooked since. But I got gold straight after and it literally blew my mind. Not only was it an awesome new reigon (johto is still possibly my favorite) but then going to Kanto and seeing that 3 years after the events of yellow was just amazing. Particularly as life wasn't so riddled with spoilers as it is now. It was a completely new experience and I do really need to get heart gold lol. I just can't believe how expensive it still is!

Possibly about the rumoured pokemon rainbow?

I've not long had a PS4 and it's exactly the same -.- there are a couple of good gems like journey, Everyone has gone to the rapture and the witness is supposed to be very good. But I find myself having to search for stuff I want to play far more than I do with Nintendo.

Hmm yeah I would of liked it cheaper but meh I'll get one anyway. Not sure what to go for though, I grew up playing yellow but I always liked some of the pokemon you could only get on the other versions. Does anyone know if they are planning on making it compatible to transfer pokemon to current gen games? That would be a nice bonus! But for me anyway being able to play the old pokemon games with the ability to trade and battle wirelessly (ON A BACKLIT SCREEN WOO)! Seems pretty good to me... Anyone remember those crappy game boy light things? They were a pain!

@DavidGX generally if you follow it up with the word spree, then that indicates far more than one. This is because you used "and" as a connecting factor rather than to separate the points. So most people would connect spree with both meme and censorship. It's not really down to people's lack of understanding of the English language. ..

It's a really nice calendar, I got one free when I pre ordered twilight princess hd. It's got detailed listing of all holidays and events for each month and then each date has space where you can use the stickers to mark special events. The sticker sheet is a whole page worth too!

Surprised there wasn't a mention for jedi knight outcast. I played the crap out of that game and I can only play it on gamecube or pc because the Controller just fit it beautifully. Star wars bounty hunter was also very good!

Same here I bought a ps4 but rare replay was the only game I really really wanted on xb1.

I think nintendo could utilize indy developers like this so well. Literally if nintendo gave them the contract and resources they could make a fantastic fzero for launch on NX. It's not like Sega are going to bother making another one anytime soon.

If they go bankrupt I hope sonic team and atlas get bought out by a better company :/ I bet if Nintendo made a proper sonic game it could be awesome, look how well he plays in smash bros as a basic example.

See imo a hardcore gamer is just generally someone who puts a lot of hours into gaming. In the nineties zelda definitely would have been considered hardcore when fewer people played games but its got more of a mixed audience now. Most of the 'hardcore industry' is probably japanese people who will put hundreds of hours into rpgs. Pc gamers tend to be much more hardcore in general, but I think nintendo has had a casual rep more since the wii became a magnet for party games. There are a lot of people who play 'hardcore cames' who are not hardcore gamers mind. None of it makes sense really lets just call them gamers with little social lives instead XD?

In all fairness when I first heard them I thought they were irish. I guess its because a lot of the more well known Scottish bands/singers have more strong accents than her lol.

@3DSWiiUFanatic. I doubt it will be, the wii was branded revolution right up to the point where we knew almost everything about it.

Ive just got a ps4 in the sales ready for final fantasy, kingdom hearts and ratchet and clank next year, but honestly as long as the NX is at least as powerful as the xb1 I will happily sell it for the NX. Sony and Microsoft just dont make games like nintendo but I will say I played journey for the first time today and it was awesome! I am struggling to find stuff of that quality though which sucks.

Ew lol, I think its link's innocent face that has always made him more s more appealing hero. In a way him looking soft and then being a badass fighter also has a better effect on him as a character imo. I find it hard to root for a link who looks as though he wants to beat a moblin to death with the pommel of his sword lol, rather than a hero trying to save everyone from evil.

You can spend ages on rumble world without paying a thing, but I did end up getting bored. Shuffle was a game I played religiously for a few months but then it got really difficult so I stopped. But flipping badge arcade...omg so so damn addictive! I've spent probably about £4 and I have more than half the mario sprite collection. But as someone mentioned the UK/EU version doesn't seem to be getting much love at the moment. I'm desperate for the legend of zelda badges but its all been mario, animal crossing and splatoon so far

Yes they definitely need to bump up the tech so that it can be supported by third parties for their sake (I personally couldn't care less whether NX gets the next COD and Assassins Creed but it does matter to a large portion of gamers) but in answer to his crap about the more it looks like a ps4 and xb1 the better - what a load of rubbish! Nintendos individuality is what makes it unique and kept it going without third party support. If they had made a crappier version of the 360 then both the wii and wii U would of done far worse than they did (Not That I don't like them but facts are facts, wii u has not sold well) All Nintendo needs to do Is boost the hardware and make it easier for third parties. The last thing we need is a ps4 or xb1 clone, if they did do that then I might as well stick to pc gaming!

I personally like the the legend of zelda series the way it is. I would not mind a spin off that features customisation, triforce heroes is kind of dabbling in that. But that's because you aren't playing as a hero in a deep story, you are playing as yourself in an online dungeon type game. But as for main series games I would definitely prefer Link to be himself. This has nothing to do with gender though, I would feel exactly the same about not wanting Samus to be a man. They have their own identity even if they do represent the player, plus the story would definitely have to be affected if you could play as different genders.

I'm not sure if its just the eu version but all I'm getting are mario and animal crossing badges I want zelda badges for my majoras mask background... Plus ive only had like 1 free play from the practice machine despite clearing 2 of them grr

I think Z will probably end up being an add on, would be nice if we got a new game though. To whoever said about shadow pokemon being new - they have been around a while. Look up the gamecube pokemon games, they both had shadow versions of pokemon

I dont understand why they didn't try doing what megaman did with sonic 4 and just make another 32 bit game. I much prefer the old visuals anyway, sonic 3 had so much visual imagination in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did do a Dr mario mobile. I think it would work nicely too.

What I wanna know and I have yet to see anyone report on it is why they cut the redeads. I remember buying onm (or was it nom back then?) Anyway they had pictures of what I presume was the bit where you play as wolf link in the sewers and there was some freaky-ass ghost things. They weren't in the final game but I never heard why it changed...

So much hate in the comments lol. I do feel this article really has not given it the most positive of attention 0.o it's a bit silly them doing it Imo. A few people mentioned things like mass effect but in mass effect being gay/straight is completely up to the player. You don't have to see any kissing or sex scenes for either gender if you do not want to. Whereas putting it as an unavoidable part of the game is just going to cause needless headaches. I mean look what happened when sonic kissed a human in sonic 06. If that would of gone any further it's classed beastiality lmao but It really was stupidly unnecessarily. I prefer games to either have romance optional or none at all personally. People can't fight over it then!

I have fibre optic Internet but I notice a huge difference when I'm playing a game full of Japanese players. Literally they end up teleworking around my screen and the next thing I know I'm dead lol. My friend struggles to finish a game against Japanese players and he's an A+ rank. It does impact the game play massively, I do think that an option to play worldwide or your region would be good.

I agree with many other people comments that it looks pretty but I would not want an actual zelda game to look like that. The legend of zelda series is not really supposed to be realistic lol and their variation in art styles is one of the many things that makes the series awesome.

Kameo was pretty fun, it didn't have that spark of magic that it did when they were with Nintendo though. Would it of made a difference if they had made it with Nintendo? I don't know but either way I'm more upset that Microsoft didn't use rare the way Nintendo did.

Looks good and I think it will do well. I think we're definitely due a Nintendo direct soon! Hopefully it'll iron out some concerns

I think possibly if this is real it could be either new story dlc (octolings story) or what I'm hoping for is a death match mode where one team is squid and one team is octo. Similar to how halo did modes where it was unsc vs covenant. Hopefully if that is what it is we'll get to customise both characters

Possibly an idea for a deathmatch mode? Instead of squid v squid as normal it could be squid v octos.

I mean I understand people aren't happy and want a new metroid, I do too. But what the hell is cancelling federation force going to do?!? I'd rather have something that could possibly add to the metroid universe and storyline and play that than have a big hissy fit and cancel everything altogether lol.
