I'm still playing through Pokémon Violet on my switch 2 currently. I'll be playing donkey Kong after that but yeah I'll definitely be playing TOTK after that. I didn't actually finish it on the switch 1 so will be nice to continue from where I was with the upgrades. I might even go back on BOTW and finish getting the Korok 'seeds'.
I think 2D-3D for the overworld and then proper cutscenes and much more detailed sprites when in battle mode. I like 2D-3D but I also like being able to see the characters properly for moments when it matters. Fire Emblem is a good example where the overworld looks fine in 2D but I like seeing more detail during battles.
I have fond memories of double dash. It was the first mario kart I really got into. My friend and I were pretty good at it and could play both roles well enough to switch places in co-op while driving and knew when to punch to avoid obstacles etc.
I think the only negatives for me on it were: the slidey powerslide rather than the traditional jumping powerslide. The game felt very slippery too compared to every other entry. As much as I liked unique weapons they were very unbalanced and so were the characters and karts too. It needed more content as well.
I would love them to bring back the co-op aspect in a mariokart game, but it would need to be balanced so it doesn't ruin the online play. Even if they just made it an optional mode it would be fun.
Not gonna lie I was gutted when I found out there was a Pikachu edition releasing. I have the "dark knight" (Batman) edition chair and I love it. I've had it nearly two years and honestly IMO worth every penny. I also got lucky in that I got it just prior to the pandemic and I now sit on it for a minimum of 40 hours a week so it has definitely paid off. If they do start selling the Pikachair to the UK then I am definitely going to be tempted lol.
I don't think there is much of a difference in handheld when you can use the touch screen but if you're playing it docked then it will definitely make a difference. When messaging on PS4 I frequently used the app because it was miles quicker than using the controller. It also means you can let people know if you are afk or whatever through it. I haven't tried it but I imagine you don't have to stand still while typing either because you don't have to bring up a menu. Not life changing but nice to have the option.
I enjoyed both her story and telling lies. I felt that I accidentally came across the plot twist in telling lies much earlier than her story though. What I did like about telling lies though was the variety in characters made it harder to get all of the details and so I was more motivated to keep searching.
Yeah I had this happen a few weeks ago, luckily they emailed me to say there was a new log in and I knew it wasn't me immediately because it was a USA location. So I changed my password and put on two step. I haven't had any issues since fortunately. I have just bought my wife a switch but I am hoping her's will be okay as I've only used Eshop cards with that.
Just got to three star today and KK is coming so I can't wait to start terraforming. My island is a mega inconvenience at the moment lol. I've built three bridges and two inclines and I still can't get everywhere without using a ladder
Bought my wife an animal crossing edition switch for (not surprising) animal crossing lol. It wasn't that local play would be a problem but we would rather play simultaneously on our own islands anyway whether in single player or multiplayer.
Honestly I've enjoyed it but I still think they should have had a few weeks break between each grand Prix. As someone who at the very least wanted everything in the grand Prix tiers and the champion kart decal it was downright stressful sometimes trying to get it done. I've had to smash it this week as I had most of the gold tier left lol. I'm currently in the top 5% (30767 when I checked like half an hour ago) so I'm just praying no-one kicks me over the 39000 mark before tomorrow lol
I'm still holding out for an animal crossing edition switch light. I'm buying my wife one for the launch of animal crossing and I am really hoping they do a special edition with the game.
It is a really good storyline. Got me right in the feels way back when it game out :'). There is two songs from videogames that really get to me. One is 'everything is alright' from this game and the other is 'His song' from Undertale. The soundtrack is also fantastic!
Not surprised really, I think it makes complete sense for them to represent the latest fire emblem game. I do think awakening got a little over represented though which bulked up the FE roster a bit too much.
Yeah I feel like when I was a kid (mega drive/PS1 era) games didn't really force your attention it was down to you. Whereas now games are literally battling for your time. For example just two of the games that I play destiny 2 and crash team racing both have a pass type thing. Meaning if you don't give them both a certain amount of time then you will miss out on time gated content. I hate how so many games have this now. I literally feel relieved when I have got everything done and can stop playing it - which is just stupid lol. But when you have put a lot of time into a game you don't suddenly want to start missing stuff.
I'd be up for that. Played it on pc with gamepass a few months ago. It isn't mind-blowing but if you want a cheerful, fun platformer that runs smooth then go for it. I would personally give it around an 8/10. I even went and bought the dlc for it lol
@AtomicAtom Yeahh I'm hoping for more of a proper story in the sequel. Funnily enough botw was thought up when anouma played skyrim (obviously very free roam, not linear and story centric). But recently he said RDR2 influenced the sequel (which is much more story and character based). So I'm thinking I could enjoy the sequel even more.
@rjejr I really enjoyed super Lucky's tale. If you wanna try it out, get a month of game pass for free and try it on pc. I think it would work really well on a handheld. It's more of a traditional simple platformer than a hat in time. It's a lot less complicated and it's pretty easy, but I enjoyed it. A hat in time has a lot more substance to it though.
@Doktor-Mandrake Yeah the tracks were good on nitro kart it was just that the karts didn't handle the same. Yeah I am glad they are adding all the extra stuff too. I will be getting it on PS4 though as I just want it to feel as close to the original as possible.
@Doktor-Mandrake It's still one of my favourite games of all time. Yeah I still think CTR was way better than mk64. However the others weren't as good sadly.
@wazlon Yeah they were great originally there were supposed to be three games. Obviously Din and Naryu were featured but There should have been one for Farore (probably butchered the spelling on that). If they remade them it would be good if they brought back the missing content. Tbf all the gameboy Zelda games were fantastic.
As far as I know most ports/remakes have had at least a slightly lower price tag. The only other thing they could be doing (unlikely though) is charging full price and bringing it out with Oracle of ages/seasons? It was the same engine originally so would kind of make sense. I just felt like the vagueness of details might have been deliberate.
I honestly do not believe it will be the Base game at full price though. The trailer showed it is a faithful remake of the original down to exact placement (unless extra content is made). To me it would make sense to charge lower and make it download only for a game that size. It's going to be way smaller than a link between world's, put it that way and I paid £30 for that at launch.
Great would love to play them in handheld with the classic gc controls. If they can add motion as an option with the switches better controllers it could be fun.
Honestly if they're next console was a very high quality handheld that could connect to a TV Chromecast style I don't think I would mind. It's just hard to keep up with other consoles if they are going to make something handheld only.
Started playing this evening and yeah it's easy but I'm really enjoying it. The game is full of character, I got to run through mt moon without fighting a million mandatory zubat and using the pokeball accessory made me grin like I was a 6 year old again playing yellow for the first time. It's got it's faults but it's a great game. I'm not a casual player either I've owned almost every Pokémon game since red and blue.
Undertale announcement the same day as the smash Bros direct.... 0_o
Lol in all seriousness I am guessing there is possibly some dlc coming. That Lester character has been hidden in the game for ages and he looks mega Halloweeny.
@KenW77 I play with Japanese audio and the voice acting was fine tbh. Tom is particularly hilarious in Japanese as he is meant to be American so his accent is terrible.
@exopiscea It's good, I got the remaster on pc when it came out. I had never had the opportunity to play it before either! I love it, fantastic story, interesting and life-like world and the mini-games are awesome. My only niggle is how often you have to kill time on it. Sometimes it will be like 8am and you have to do something the following day at like 10pm. If they had found a way to speed up or skip time it would have been handy. Yep or even if I could just disconnect my Sony account and add my Nintendo account. I play pc mainly anyway I just wanna be able to play it in bed on my switch lol.
