Re: Animal Crossing amiibo Festival

starman292

Don't know if anyone noticed on the tree house, but they said they were just showing off the board game "mode"... does this mean there is going to be mini games and other stuff too? I'm not sure but I really think people are jumping to conclusions thinking it's just one board with a bunch of amiibo for the entire game. I'm willing to keep my eyes on this especially when we know so little about it.

Re: Next Metroid Prime Home Console Title "Would Likely Now be on NX"

@smikey
I highly doubt it lol they said we won't hear anything about the NX til after e3 2016 so yeah they could just announce it and launch it but by their general history I personally think it will be 2017. Tbh even if it does come out late 2016 it won't be the last of the wii u as they normally give it a while before ending it. The wii had some very good games at the end of its lifespan, xenoblade chronicles was one of them.

I don't really think it was that bad I just think they didn't give us enough information on the good stuff. Not to mention I didn't think the trailers were half as good as last year. I can't wait for that multi player zelda game I think it will be great and to be honest I am looking forward to the metroid game too. I really enjoyed hunters and would of liked more focus on other characters so I think this could be good. The other thing is how do we know that this is just a rubbish side thing? It could be something to connect us to a new game with samus, we just don't know. But I didn't feel the trailers gave it justice, so I'm waiting for more information. The thing is we will probably have a direct soon anyways with more details and (hopefully) info on zelda wii u. The animal crossing game I really didn't know what to think lol, but I'm willing to give it a chance. Particularly if it's more like the old Mario party format! So yeah lots I haven't mentioned too, but I think we need more information before we all brush it off as crap. Plus I do think the new star fox will be good. Particularly if the controls for splatoon are anything to go by.

I missed all the sessions last week but managed to get on for Saturday. After logging on I realised my wii U clock was wrong and that it was actually 12, so I was mega gutted thinking I had missed it again, but it turns out I was there for just the right time XD. During that hour I had no problems whatsoever and jumped into a new game in seconds every time. So yeah I preordered it for the t - shirt and amiibo but I'm glad I did and can't wait to get 'stuck in' this weekend (aha see what I did there?)

Re: Digital Foundry Assesses The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and More GameCube HD Remake Possibilities

starman292

@Grumblevolcano

Well yeah I agree with that as most smash bros/mariokart games are just updates of each other...except for double dash. I'm not sure if you played it, but double dash had a completely different control style. Co-op with 2 players on one kart which allowed weapon stealing through melee attacks. Plus each character had unique special weapons, so yeah... I agree with remaking essentially the same game is stupid. But in some cases where a certain game in the series stood out and the ideas haven't been revisited then I'm happy for it to be remade or re released. But if the plan on doing a new double dash style mario kart I would be mega happy with that lol.

Re: Gallery: Fresh Xenoblade Chronicles X Footage, Screens and Concept Art Arrive

I wasn't majorly interested in this when it was announced. But after smash bros came out I wanted to try Xenoblade chronicles because I liked Shulk (yeah pretty sad reason I know) so I got it on 3DS. I am about... a quarter of the way through it? (I'm level 27 so I'm guessing I'm around a quarter through it) and I am suprised how much of a game can fit on that tiny cartridge. Not only is the gameplay absolutely awesome, but the story is great, the graphics are lovely and the game is freaking huge XD. I highly recommend anyone who likes rpgs or just a damn good exploration/story game to pick it up. So if thats anything to go by then I am definately preordering this! The thought of online co-op is one of the things I really love. In chronicles your ai team mates are generally very good, but playing with a friend could be so much better to be able to coordinate your attacks. So yeah... I can't wait to see more of it!

Re: Game Jam Tasks Developers With Creating A Zelda Title Starring A Female Link

starman292

There are plenty of strong female characters in the zelda universe such as Impa, Midna, Medli who are partially playable. But their are also many strong female character npcs also. So it depends why people would be voting for this, for me personally it would be as bad as putting mario in a dress. But a lot of people are bringing up womens rights over this kind of thing. Which if it is just so that the main character can be a girl so nintendo can't be called 'sexist'; then I think its downright silly tbh. If another main playable character such as in Midnas case is female then thats absolutely fine. But why go messing around with the main character?

  • oh and just to add, I'm pretty sure in wind waker it was 12/13 year old boys who had to wear the green clothes as tradition. So as far as that timeline goes I'm pretty sure Link was meant to be male. Whether this could change on another timeline (Links death etc) I'm not sure.

Re: The Happy Mask Salesman is Teased for a Reappearance in a New Zelda Game

starman292

Would be nice if its part of a new 3DS game. I've wanted to see what they could do with the 3DS graphics in a full 3D zelda game (that isnt a remake) generally speaking we tend to get 2 new zelda games per generation of hand helds. So I'm hoping that they have been developing one in secret similarly to what they did on the DS. If it is something to do with zelda U then fair enough. But the promise of a new 3D zelda for handheld sounds good to me!

Re: Former Sega of America CEO Talks Out on the Company's Mistakes and Shares Thoughts on Nintendo's Hardware Future

starman292

I think companion apps would be fine, perhaps even stretching to a small minigame type nintendo game for mobile devices (it may be good advertising and they could use it to advertise non used nintendo characters such as the ice climbers). But putting major characters on mobile platforms would be stupid. Sega has put loads of sonic games on mobile platform and I wouldn't buy any of them, particularly not that microtransactioned riddled crap lol. Even the good games like the original sonic games are NOT anywhere near as fun on a phone or tablet. They were designed for a gamepad and are much much better on a gamepad. Even segas latest project sonic runners (which again looks to be microtransaction riddled) looks similar to classic sonic gameplay, but for it to be easily playable on a touch screen they have pretty much made it into a timed jumping game -.-. Sega has so many good IP's left yet they ruin it by overusing sonic or constantly trying to 'remake' him. Nintendo haven't done that and I sure as hell hope they won't ever do it.
