Japanese version sometimes has an English subtitles option anyway tbf lol. I can understand some basic Japanese and I can also read some simplified Chinese characters. But trying to read a whole story/menu in Japanese (obviously only some characters are the same as Chinese) would not be easy at all lol.

On a side note I did prefer the original DS to the ds lite. It was much more comfortable to play metroid hunters on ( I used the thumb thingy) and I preferred the clicky feel of the dpad while playing Mario kart. Used to drive my mom mad at night though lol if you got good at snaking it made a right racket lol.

I loved my original DS, planned on getting it at launch but I had to search around for about a week before I found one. The metroid Hunter's demo and having Mario 64 ds at launch definitely helped sales too. Then when they announced WiFi connectivity and that Mario kart ds would be the first game to use it, I think that made a massive change too.

I'm actually really looking forward to this!

Undertale and gmod on a handheld? Yes please!

My first console was the mega drive/ genesis. I would if they did a remake with wireless pads and 4 player without the expansion thingy. A resolution booster would be nice too but I have no idea if that's possible or not.

I can't stand fake British voices, not gonna lie. I think she should of worked with her own accent. Or if they specifically wanted a British accent then use someone British. Idk it just didn't sound right to me and proper put me off her cutscenes. At least I can change the voices to Japanese now yay thanks Nintendo!

I had this on mobile and tried the demo out for pc and Xbox. I always planned on picking it up but never got round to it I guess​ lol. Honestly though the switch version looks to have some major advantages so if anything I'm gonna wait for the switch version now.

Ah we never get anything this fun in the UK . Probably because our supermarkets tend to have very little focus on video games.

Yeah it would be cool if on certain days you had a live band playing in the background. Even if it was just for splatfests.

I was really happy with the splatoon hoard mode and I'm actually warming up to arms more now. There was lots of nice surprises for the 3ds and a few bits and bobs for switch so I'm pretty pleased. My guess is that the meat of the releases will be waiting til e3 for the switch though. Particularly as they already mentioned Mario will be playable at e3. The one announcement I was actually really pleased about was they finally are releasing the last few smash amiibo! I've been waiting ages to get Cloud and Robin

I'm guessing that perhaps arms is a bit more harsh on the battery life of the joycons than most games. It uses most of its features at the same time, I think that's probably why they have released the battery packs. The thickness may make them easier to hold while punching too. I do like​ those new colours though!

I thought the new mode looked great! I really hope they do a test fire on it before launch

Maybe for you but I'd definitely say breath of the wild has had an impact lol. It's put Zelda back on the map for a lot of non-nintendo fan gamers. Anyways back to the article.... I probably won't pick up steering wheels for this one. The joycons have joysticks which is my personal preference over motion controls. I might have to grab some more joycons for the multiplayer though, I've got one pro controller and the joycons at the moment. Great when it's just me and the wife but if friends are over then we need more controllers. Has anyone tried out that controller in this list?

Wooowww... Most cows really don't care about being milked. I used to stay on a farm and they treated cows very humanely. Obviously I'm sure there's people out there who don't but they're obviously nothing to do with a milking game lol.

Yeah I think you need to import the Japanese version of the game

On a side note however I thought urbossa, revali and the goron voice acting was alright. It just feels to me like an American kids cartoon rather than voice acting aimed at adults. I listened to the Japanese dub and it was like proper anime voice acting :/

Yeah most Americans have no clue about the differences between Irish and Scottish accents either lol. Its pretty rare to find any voice actors on American shows that can voice any UK accent well tbh lol.

One thing i would say is once I got used to the difference in controls is the jump map wasn't that bad. I didn't use the d-pad though I used the motion controls to quickly highlight a player and pressed A to jump. Seemed just as quick as having to look down at the pad in splatoon 1 IMO. Though I suppose people who didn't like motion wouldn't of used that method.

I'm honestly not bothered, if I was bothered about it having ridiculous graphics I would just stick to my pc lol. Lets face it most of us knew it would be somewhere between the wii u and xb1. Nintendo have made a hybrid console that has an OS that runs circles around my ps4 OS and I have a new zelda to play on it. Not to mention a new splatoon and Mario coming this year. I already have more games coming out I want this year on my switch than any other console. THAT is what matters! Sure they could of put in a better chip and charged more, but I think it will be fine. If they made some beauties on the Wii U they can do far better on the switch. As long as it sells well third parties will play ball eventually (not that I care mind you, but I'm sure others will want some of the crap EA keeps shelling out). As long as I have games to look forward to on it, then I'm happy.

Yeah I've been watching his videos for a while and subscribed a while back. I have always liked the way he presents things on the YouTube channel, I think it adds to the community feel of nintendolife as a whole too. Congrats to all off you and a big well done for Alex! Let's hope there's many more videos and subscribers to come

4 player co-op? This is gonna be so much fun!

Yeah I would agree with the slow start. I'm just taking my time with it and taking it all in. My guess is that it's one of those stories that gets better the further you get into it. I have had some really fun side-quests so far though and there's nothing like how you feel when you find a really nice piece of gear, gives you a great sense of accomplishment! All I'm going to say without too much spoilers is there is a really fun shrine hidden in the area to the east that makes really great use of the motion controls XD check it out if you haven't already.

How many shrines have you been to? Some of the puzzles I've played already are legit some of the best I've played in a Zelda game. (Then again I have had it since Wednesday so I may have done a bit more exploring than most)

Honestly people are blowing this out of proportion, it only happens in literally a few places. Basically if there's an area with loads of long grass there's a chance of a bit of stutter just as you walk into it. It's very rare during combat (had it happen once when a guardian shot and set a load of grass alight). Besides that I haven't had it happen in snow, water, being high up, or any of the shrines so far. I basically think it's an issue with the grass, but damn that grass looks sexy!

Trust me I worried it was going to feel like that, but it really doesn't. I keep on forgetting it's a portable because it feels and plays just like a home console. The home feels snappy and quick and there is little to no loading at all. Plus Zelda looks and plays beautifully. It's not until I had it that I fully realised this IS a home console with optional portability. I just hope people treat it as such. Oh and for those who were wondering there is rumble in Zelda just not HD rumble.

I got mine last night and although I didn't get to play it for very long the game is by far the best looking thing Nintendo has ever done.
I'm not going to lie I was absolutely terrified it wouldn't feel like a Zelda game. But right from the get go it really does but in a different environment. I still haven't really got stuck into it yet but from my first 45 minutes of play I game-overed like twice lmao. It's surprising how differently you have to take the approach to enemies (look what's around them and what they can use against you) and in the case of guardians my advice is look for an escape route lol. But I haven't really delved into the story yet (still on the plateau) I just hope it meets my high expectations!

Yay I got my switch yesterday but I couldn't get on the eshop . Annoyingly I bought snipperclips from game and they still haven't sent me the download code grr .

I think the difference for me is that Nintendo make games I actually WANT to play in local multiplayer. I've had a ps4 for over a year and it's a good console. But I have had no reason to buy a second pad at all. There just isn't many quality games (besides a few good indies) that are good in local multiplayer. If ever I go away I don't bring my ps4 I bring my Wii U and 3DS because Nintendo make really fun local multiplayer games. It's a shame because Microsoft and Sony used to have some absolute gems for local multiplayer. But there seems to be more effort to keep people shut in their rooms in single player and online than with others in local multiplayer.

Give me all 3 for £15 and I'll definitely bite . If not then I'll probably pick up whichever ones they added multiplayer to first. Tbh I bet little inferno looks awesome on a TV like a real fireplace. I haven't played their latest game yet, but judging by their other games I'm sure it's good.
