@Dunan Totally agree with you. To be honest, I don't know why I come here anymore. The review scores I totally ignore now. I think it's just the current affairs and ambience of the gaming industry that interests me. I trust other sites for reviews. No, you know what? It's YOU guys here in the comments section that I pay attention to when it comes to forming opinions on the games.

@Retron This is not a review by any stretch of the mind. It seems to be a cursory overview, but lacking the pertinent points you've raised. Casual Google indicates that this is a elementary tech language for robots and electronics. Most likely means no graphics assets other than what's inside. While it's good that it exists, it needs realistic, world based descriptions on what it does and what it's capable of. I personally think it and the review are misleading. The ideal way to teach games programming would be to have a fully supported environment.

These were my first RPG game experiences back in the day. The audio effects; music, voice were in my experience on a cinematic level. After playing these, JRPG's seem like match 3 games. Can't wait to experience these again.

SNES, SNES, SNES! Surprised at how cluncky some of the 3D games are. Other than that, most likely some DQB2 and Ultimate Fishing. I did read an interesting user review on Civ6, might dust that one off and give it a go.

I can't see any advantage in this. Means a longer stretch for thumb maybe.

@Bunkerneath True, but the GB skin along with chip tune sound is pretty awesome.

I remember seeing and playing this in the arcades. It's kind of weird being able to have these in hand held.

Finally, maybe a contemporary racer that is not based on fighting or sci-fi.

DQB2 and Ultimate Fishing Simulator. Actually probably a whole bunch of my collection. Testing out my new Pro controller. I'm hoping I'll get used to it.

If it's "arcade" why is it the NES version?

I've become totally 'hooked' on Ultimate Fishing Simulator. It's a calming experience, but also can get quite competitive when your aiming to best your largest catch. The variety of tools is immense, though I wish there was a guide on usage. Nice pick up and play if your looking for a stress free session.

Pretty sure that this Terminator depiction is not cannon. The beard is from Dark Fate, but the scar/damage is from Genysis.

I absolutely devoted myself to acquire the Game Boy theme. These other IP themes don't have that same pull for me. Also looking at the trailer, the block colours look muted.

Times must be tough at EA. It's honestly been so long that they might as well be Atari to me.

I've had to restart my DQB2 after messing up the placement of the (artificial?), Deitree. The game started looping with no tangible way of fixing. The plus side, is that I've levelled the land for the village and it's now bigger!

I've been totally addicted to Dragon Quest Builders 2. I believe I'm near to finishing Furrowfield island. It's just such an immersive experience, watching NPC's go about their business, the monster attacks on the base - repairing the base. The art style reminds me of Mario vs Rabbids.

Bought last week. Very hard to put down.

I've just downloaded Dragon Quest Builders 2. The farming aspect and villagers AI swayed me.

As I was only interested in 1 and 2, having seen the issues - pass. Even chump change prices can't sweeten the taste of botched port. Also a big factor, Doom would often induce motion sickness and I fear the issues raised here would exacerbate that.

@frabbit Why not? Gives good exposure to the hacking groups, encouraging them to produce more. How could that possibly have any negative impact on the gaming industry?

Nintendo can do as they wish. I just hope that they realise that most industrialised countries (outside of the US), have consumer rights laws.

I wish Dev's would simply produce a contemporary racing game that runs OK. The only decent racings games on the Switch are Chase Horizon and Virtua Racing.

I've been playing Tangledeep which is totally amazing, with brilliant music. That and Pinball FX. Bite sized quality gaming.

I've been enjoying some of the Williams tables on Pinball FX3. Intense quick games. That and Lego Worlds. Thinking picking up something from the eShop sales.

These reviewers would get hugs and maybe a more productive career at Sony.

Nintendo' software IP is based around classic simple genre/concepts and their hardware reflects that. Sony and Microsoft are more geared towards cutting edge and their hardware reflects that. I think there is an almost perfect ecosystem for these companies and products to exist. I bought the Switch for it's portability and library of older titles. If Nintendo was to suddenly unleash a super powerful handheld, what would they do? Drown it with third party stuff?
