I've become very proficient at fishing the last few days (have had the game for a week now), landing whale sharks and great white ones is never tiring. Looking forward to this challenge. Just had my first camper express interest in staying and I've just agreed to my second room mortgage. Making a 100k + each day, bulk of it from fishing at night.
@TimboSlice It's got to a stage now where every Tom, Dick or Harry is publishing on the Switch. Initially a year and a half ago, quality was good and pricing was a plus. Now however... the Indies seem to be racing towards the bottom - iffy quality and overpricing. Some of the lesser dev's are now re-skinning their games - plethora of "driving simulations" Now days I check the publisher back catalogue on the eshop to check quality and then Youtube for footage.
I'm guessing Jim's googled on sales & marketing and how not to kill your own product. I'd rather throw my money out of a moving train than give to that idiot.
Pretty sure that table on the right with satchel and other object is new also. This, is the game that I have spent the most hours on out of my collection.
@CTmatic Agreed my choice is eclectic. I just find Bioshock too art house for my liking. I find the setting and art style in Metro more agreeable, though I've not yet felt compelled to to invest.
@sandman89 @CTmatic @Friendly @Casco The free to play ones don't appeal to me. I'm affraid I don't like the visual style of Bioshock - creepy. The first Doom game was too blurry. The only FPS games on my wish list are the Metro games and Wolfenstein. Original Doom 2, I got out of nostalgia. To me, Crysis seems more contemporary, that and the features are appealing. Outerworlds I was wishing for, but dropped.
@JasmineDragon Considering how far you got, replacing the fan is not massively complicated. Mine was getting very noisey, so I swapped it out. The actual hard part was getting the normal back case off - broken screw head was a nightmare. Otherwise, 30 mins to replace the fan.
Well, I took the plunge and finally bought ACNH as an early birthday present (4th of July), partner knows I'm a keen gamer. Loving the tranquillity and the polish. First day was a drag, but I've signed up for the house which I will investigate after breakfast!
I've lost two joycons due to drift. I see it as a design fault and will not spend more on replacing until the issue is fixed. I use the Pro Controller, which provides much more accuracy and is more robust. The only thing I miss is HD rumble.
Screw EA and their banal eclectic choice of tat from their vast Loot Box. Also screw Nintendo Life for their childlike bombastic build up to this excrement. You guys are the ones that start this hype and then drop it with as much relish as you can lick all over it. You guys are SUPPOSED to be professional journalists, perhaps with insight and a degree of familiarity with trends, but no... you thrive on stirring two bit excrement for the sake of ad shillings! Honest to God, their are kid vbloggers on YT that could wipe your cumulative asses with better insight, maturity and no ***** shilling. Utterly disgusted with NL and the hype trains that you launch.
@beazlen1 Yes, I was lazy and left the Traction Control and ABS on all this time. Now, I find holding the racing line easier with assists off! My joycons are retired due to stick drift, so I use the procontroller - which does a good, if unorthodox job. Good choice of games you have. I'm gonna pick up 51 games.
Skyrim! Furlough has allowed for unlimited exploration and tourism of Tamriel. Also been playing Grid Autosport with all assists OFF and it totally transforms the racing (and cornering), experience. Lastly, Far Sails! Hugely enjoyable and not sad enough to stop immediate replays.
I'm strongly considering getting either Far Sails or Mark of the Ninja from the sales. Concerned about Far's short content. Other than that, I replaced my Switch's internal fan - myself. Very relieved that went well and also quite proud I did it.
@Bearzilla823 @Darthroseman The ones you've mentioned are ACTUAL golf games. The ones in the article are just variations of crazy golf. The Golf would count as relevant. I'm hoping the new PGA game is good. It would be a pefect world if Indie's were able to code sports games.
I was looking forward to this, however after watching a couple of YT reviews - not a day one for me. Graphics economies aside, the game world sounds small. I love big sprawling worlds.
Poor, poor, poor Sakurai San. Such a perished and punished life. Sometimes I like to pause in Smash Bros and get beaten to a pulp, contemplating Sakurai's suffering. Such a wretched life. I hope he gets the recognition and maybe some bread for the great pain he suffers as he toils for the entire gaming of humanity.
Totally engrossed in Skyrim, playing as morally bankrupt Thief (Guild Master titled). 100% Sneak and 100% Pickpocket creates some interesting strategies. Also City Skylines and it's non-traffic intricacies.
Hoping for video games and not avant-garde art house installations that lack playability or structure. There's too much rubbish indie stuff on the Nintendo shop.

Re: Story Of Seasons: Friends Of Mineral Town Is Out Today In Europe, Here's The Launch Trailer
@ritouf Agreed. Absolutely no way is that re-hash worth first party prices.
Re: Konami's Seminal Shooter Gradius Blasts Off On Switch Today
Will get for nostalgia. I was never good at this, but my first job - they had a cabinet in the canteen.

Re: Elden: Path Of The Forgotten Brings "Brutal, Technical Combat" To Switch Today
Brutal technical combat... where? There must be a dozen of these on the eshop, this looks as generic as the others.
Re: Death Crown Brings Fast-Paced Real-Time Strategy To Switch This November
Looks totally original, but dull. I'm hoping for a Total Anialation or Rusted Warfare port or similar.

Re: Crysis Remastered Switch eShop File Size Revealed
@Casco One thing I forgot to mention to you guys was Sniper Elite - the latter port. That one might be good?
Re: Crysis Remastered Switch eShop File Size Revealed
@Shambo I really wanted Doom, till a guy at work brought it in on his Switch - I was just shocked at the blurriness. That was from last year.

If reviews are good, I will buy. Still not seen a Switch FPS that's caught my eye.

Re: Nintendo To Cut Back On Mobile Games After Animal Crossing Success, Says Report
Mobile gaming is a morally bankrupt industry.
Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Strategy Games
@dewokkel I respectfully disagree. CS has more strategy & planning than some of the RPG's that have been compiled on the list
Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Strategy Games
Cities Skylines should be on this list. As should be Townsmen as well as a few others. This NL list is more preferential than concise.

Re: Rail Tycoon Sim Railway Empire Rolls Onto Switch Today
I'm wondering if this game has signalling like Transport Tycoon? also how far its timeline goes in terms of historic periods?
Re: 'Reverse Horror' Game Carrion Slithers Onto Switch This Summer
I remember seeing a preview of this a while back. I think it's a genius idea for the genre, deffinately on my wish list.

Got a few. Would be good if they kind of localized the controls. They are not the most friendly games to play without notes on buttons.

Re: Kirk Scott Leaves Nintendo Of America After Five Years
@ShallweSlay Other than not writing "Have Your Say" it was NL. They like to stir things up to create debate, which creates clicks.

Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For June And July 2020
I'm interested in PGA as a deffinite. House Flipper I'm curious about, but it looks like the type of game that will have issues.

Certainly looks very similar. Won't be backing it or keeping an eye on it. Can't see the woods for the tree's.
