depends on the game. Zelda/FE warriors, DQ & Builders give enough to get you invested, sonic-skip the dialogue/cutscenes and there's time to play. bad ones only give you the opening 5 minute unskipable cutscene &/or tutorial. just need enough info/time to get me off the fence to buy it. data transfer also depends on the game. if there's a good amount of stuff already collected or levels/quests completed then yes. if it's just a brief gameplay then I don't mind doing it again.
echoing the 3 things want/need for the successor- still has the switch gimmick, transfers everything over like wii u did so that we can continue games until & after their sequels happen including NSO, and it has more power. after these Nintendo can add/change whatever they think can make it better/more special.
1. lego city prequel ported to switch or it's sequel. don't have a 3ds so would like to play it. 2. echoing lego city 3 needs to happen. 3. lego tmnt. do the movies, shows, or make it it's own thing.
wow really feel old now. so many started playing as a kid(born '83). Galaga & Ms. Pacman were my firsts in the arcade, then Mario until finally got a NES.
splatoon- each set of idols take turns every 2 hours telling what the activity is via the watch. modes- ride the tower shooting characters along the way, carry the rainmaker through an obstacle course. also collecting clams could be a thing. not sure on turf or zones. star fox- a "moving seat" with yoke(for moving reticle) and buttons lets you interact with the mission on screen. pikmin-"throw" pikmin to collect treasures in a mega crane game. AC-Tom and Isabelle's souvenir shop. disappointing but this is how Tom Nook makes money. Mkart/Fzero(yeah right)-go carts. Mario's mini golf. Mario's party board. Zelda-escape room shrine/mini dungeon edition? solve puzzles, beat enemies(?) to get out. Pokémon-Go. too easy. Wario...greed or weird/disgusting challenges? got the show Double Dare for Wario Ware inspiration.
not really. already bought the dlcs, so paying for mega drive, GB advance, & replaying 64(only 1 of these I have & it still works) on switch isn't enough to upgrade yet. obviously if/when GCN comes I will be part of the massive crowd that signs up.
final info/release dates on we do know, dlc for all of these, these are finally on Switch, another Mario Movie trailer, Zelda's last trailer b4 its direct/treehouse, lastly...here's a surprise dormant title in development...for Switch 2.
it's amazing to say the most played games for me were not Nintendo's but...EA? Madden 07 is still the best version imo, Def Jam fight for NY, Smash, RE4, NFS Most Wanted were all replayed a lot. outside of RE4 being its own game, sadly only 1 of these would see the light of day on NSO.
eventually for tears and...PM Origami or Astral Chain(just arrived from gamefly so finally get to try) are the only currently interested that don't already have.
as a kid there was a girl I played Mario with...once. she couldn't handle waiting her turn so she would pause me every 3 seconds not caring that this took me longer...if I didn't die first. me on the other hand, like in the article, I play to get the job done. I do let the other player see the cutscenes or read the info but when it's time to play let's go. that's why I like playing things like lego, beat'em up, or party games that allow us to do our own thing. as been said many times, to imagine what a game like Breath of the Wild(or Tears) would be like as a co-op.
such a good game. was given it and thought it was going to be a dust collector till I gave in and tried it. my normal game rotation took a backseat till it was done.
announced end of year/early next year released end of next year/start of 25 is my guess. like others, hoping it's a better more powerful switch 2 and plays everything from switch 1.
I got Shivers for Big Man...3-0 record so far. finally got to play a bunch of tri-color this time, guess being the defender helps. was surprised at the sweep.
scary thing that could eventually happen. here it finally is, every console(through Wii) and handheld(through 3ds) Nintendo & close partner games on NSO... for $150 solo or $250 family a year. select DLC packs & "other" included. anyone game?
do what need to every day. sadly still need things to complete collections- lousy coconut tree beetles, missing fruit that seemingly will never find, etc. dlc haven't touched in awhile(left off at upstairs unlocked).
