Voting For The Splatoon 3 Pokémon-Themed Splatfest Is Now Open

Since I'm not into Pokemon I may just side with Big Man again on this one. I do like the plant-based starter though

Does Nintendo always announce these over a month in advance, 5 weeks, I thought I remember it being 2 or 3 weeks back when I played 1? Seems like a lot of lead time.🤷

No Halloween Splatfest? Please don't make Splatfest another marketing strategy to promote other games...

I was pretty sure they'd do this as soon as they revealed there'd be 3 choices for each Splatfest. Perfect chance for cross-promotion.

I'll probably go with Fire since it's the type I used in the first 4 generations. I used Grass and Water for the next 4 but now I'm pretty sure I'll go back to my roots and choose Fuecoco.

Wow, really disappointed they skipped Halloween, was hoping for Halloween cosmetics as well but that looks unlikely now.

For the vote though I'm going to go with Fire

It's kind of disappointing that it seems Halloween has been cancelled resulting in September and October becoming part of the holiday season.

But more on topic, I'll be picking fire type as I went for fire starters in gens 1-4 and will be picking Fuecoco in Scarlet/Violet.

Ironically it's on the weekend God of Wars out so I guess Kratos will have to wait a bit!

This is a fun theme! I remember Splatoon 1's Red vs. Blue Splatfest, so I thought the next Pokemon theme would be Gold vs. Silver vs. Crystal.

I will assume most people choose fire, so if Shiver is Team Fire, I will bet that will be the most popular choice for sure.

With Shifty stations being a thing of the past ot looks like I really missed out on Splatfest being different. This is just 3 days to have no ranked matches.

@Grumblevolcano Are you out of your mind? Halloween is one of the only holidays big corporate still allow themselves to refer to by name. At worst Halloween has become even bigger than even when I was a kid in the golden age of network television, but at best it's been totally embraced by adults who have claimed it for themselves. If ANYTHING, Halloween is in danger of being encroached upon by the Day of the Dead, certainly not Thanksgiving and the following Big Holidays at the End of the Year. Target is selling Halloween themed gingerbread houses this year for Christ's sake. Not only is your favorite holiday not going anywhere, but it has become the refuge for childless Millennials who feel disenfranchised by the aforementioned family holidays and thus has never been more celebrated or lucrative.

Eh, I won't pick any of the choices because Pokémon is dead to me (and I'm sure a lot of others, even if it might be few!), what with GameFreak being horrendously lazy with Pokémon games in more recent years and until it goes to a company that can care more for the series instead of those lazy hacks at GF, I will continue to have extreme disinterest in the series. Sucks that they're skipping over a Halloweeen Splatfest to promote and encourage a horribly lazily-made game created by the laziest company I've ever known!

Hoping for Big Run this Halloween

Okay Nintendo, you're out of excuses now, you need to make a Splatfest around the Three Houses of Fire Emblem.

Oddly enough I could side with grass or water in this splatfest, because it's pretty evenly split which starter I choose on my first playthrough. So far, out of all the Pokemon games I've played, I've chosen Squirtle, Chikorita, Mudkip, Turtwig, Snivy, and Froakie. It's not a conscious choice, just something I noticed when I was listing them. I would have finally chosen a fire starter on my first playthrough if I played Sun and Moon, as Litten was the most appealing one for me, just barely winning out over Rowlett, and even though I avoided Sword and Shield, Sobble was the starter that I would have chosen. I'm still not sure if I'll choose Quaxly, Sprigetito or Fuecoco, but now that I'm conscious about my previous decisions with starter Pokémon, I kind of want to pick a fire type lol

@BenAV There's a possibility that we're going to get the Big Run this month.

I hope they fix the communication errors before this splatfest, since the last update I can no longer find any typw if match because I get communication errors all the time, Salmon Run is better but still get communication errors now and then.

With no splatfest this month it goes with what I thought, 1 month will be a splatfest another month a Big run, as I don't see both happening every month.

For the splatfest, I would choose grass normally, but this gen I am going with fire, unless the rumour of its final typing isn't Fire ghost, so guess I will be choosing team fire

Darn, I was really looking forward to this but the timing coincides with days I won't be able to play in.
