Re: Paper Mario Producer Says "It's A Necessity" To Change The Combat System In Every Entry

it's disheartening how tone deaf nintendo can be some times. Perfect example in Pokemon . When you are asked if you are a boy or a girl, they should also prompt ask "have you played pokemon before", and that should be the flag to either 1) trim down the tutorial, or 2) let you skip it outright and get going. For paper mario, Nintendo thinks they will reach a new demographic and hook old fans with the nostalgia, but the wacky battle system here was repetitive and no payoff for fighting. Experience points give incentive to battle, which nintendo seems to forget

this looks like a fun game, but when the battle have no purpose other than confetti, they just feel like a slog. I gave colour splash a chance and didn't hate it, but I will be sitting this out until a sale (or bargain bin when the local game shop decides it doesn't want it)
Edit: I played bug fables and that was fantastic. Glad someone had the initiative to take a working formula to a game, give it a fun twist with the existing game play, and make something new and exciting while focusing on why we enjoyed the originals, and some platforming (which was ok)

It's fun to play with others, I can understand why some people don't want to exchange goods, items or turnip prices with those who time travel or modify the game, especially with the new events and such, but the game is about having fun. You can play with whoever you want to, just have fun and let the people play how they want to. I do love the "time traveler's" stamp idea for a "complete" game
