@WaveBoy Well, it just means that we have to support these types of collections for Capcom to consider either porting or remaking those old arcade/Dreamcast games.
@MitchaK The Switch with it's crappy internet and low latency is sure going to encourage people to buy and play the game for about a week before everyone gets frustrated about it and moves to more greener pastures like Splatoon or Mario Kart.
@Paraka You say that and funnily enough Night Dive put a message in the credits of Turok 3 Remaster to have fans stop asking for Rage Wars. So even Night Dive is annoyed and after they went to great lengths to get Turok 3 remastered.
Despite the reception, Turok 3 is still a fully-fledged single player game even if it's a bit short, it's still replayable.
Rage Wars is basically: "We have Quake Arena at home." Not to mention, Turok 2 already has a multiplayer a mode, what's the point of having Rage Wars remastered if take up time and resources better spent on remastering other more popular games rather than a niche multiplayer game like that?
So yeah, if you really want Rage Wars, good luck finding the source code.
@axelhander Yep, Nintendo makes up all that money just to be complacent and slow to change like most Japanese companies. They still probably use typewriters and carrier pigeons to send messages to one-another.
@Daggot Yep, and Sucker Punch, the studio that made Sly Cooper, only wants to make open world Samurai games despite the over saturation of those types of games in the market at the moment.
It always surprises me when Insomniac can still make newer games while still maintaining it's core franchise like Ratchet & Clank relevant and not forgetting about it.
(Sigh) I know it's been years, but what I would do for a new Sly Cooper game and having a Lego spin-off game would be the perfect way to expose the series to newcomers.
@Paraka It would be a waste to port that game over since it's just a multiplayer-only game with a short campaign.
If Saber is allegedly involved, it better be a brand new game since I kept hearing how Night Dive always wanted to make a new Turok game. And I'm all in support of them making a brand new Turok game with the same vibes as the original, after that stellar System Shock remake, I'd be fully confident in them making a new entry in the series.
@Cronodoug Thankfully, Capcom doesn't follow the social trends that Western games are going through by having lead characters designed to look extra mediocre and avoid the "male gaze".
@Daimando Pretty sure Sega gave the rights to IDW to start fresh with a new comic continuity to avoid the legal mess that was the Archie Comics when Ken Penders decided to take Sega to court for some of the "original characters" he created. That whole debacle is the reason why we never see Archie Sonic characters anymore and also Sega wanted stricter guidelines on how Sonic should be portrayed.
At this point, Capcom can't ignore the fan outcry for Dino Crisis.
On that note, what's taking them so long to make a new Final Fight game? The Street Fighter series owes its success to Final Fight for inspiring it to make the most iconic sequel in gaming history. Could Capcom at the very respect it enough to remake the first Final Fight and add Street Fighter elements into it?
So this looks amazing and all with the smooth animation, but I don't understand the choice for the color palette?
It looks like that hideous Corporate Memphis art style that everyone dislikes. If they chose more Earth tone colors than it wouldn't look as weird. At least the prince looks Persian instead of like Killmonger.
@Bobb That moment you realize that Sonic and Shadow were designed to appeal to, gasp , teens and designed by a Japanese artist who takes inspiration from Shonen anime.
It's funny seeing this weird Boomer-ish comment when Sonic in the 90s was also designed to appeal to kids and teens, especially in the West. But even though I'm not from the UK, Sonic appears to have gotten some "edgy" comics during that time and even though the Saturday morning animated show from that era didn't lean too hard into the edginess, it still had a serious tone and Sonic was far from being cute and cuddly compared to how he was depicted in Japan.
Although, I can't say his old appearance hasn't aged too well either, seeing as how in media he had a pot belly, stubby limbs, and a weird Mohawk hairstyle that looks really goofy by today's standards. Not sure if his Bart Simpson-esque attitude would be considered cool either?
The article forgot to credit Shinji Mikami with directing God Hand on PS2, which is another game that I wish he would make a spiritual sequel to as well.
Game looks gorgeous, but with how spoiled we are with some other modern remasters of older games, I wish we could toggle between modern graphics and Gamecube original visuals, also including a CRT filter option.
@Qwiff Chances are that maybe Wayforward had limited time and budget when they made this game. So they worked with what they had and probably didn't have time to optimize the game well enough to run on Switch. Which is why game is getting slightly higher review scores on other platforms than Switch.
@Zulzar Do you have any proof that the development time that went into making cutscenes would've significantly affected gameplay tweaking or performance if they were this short and insignificant in the first place?
Of course not, gotta love these armchair developers in these types of comments sections saying they'd do better, lol.
@Toastmaster Late response, but I'm not spending $100 for a paper weight that won't last for a long while. You're really goofy thinking that would be a good long-term investment. At least if it was on Steam, I could keep it forever and be able to play it anywhere, even on my Steam Deck.

Re: We're Getting A Brand New 'Mario & Luigi' RPG This November
Finally, a Mario and Luigi game without some control gimmick as the main gameplay focus.
Re: 2022's Kitty Hit 'Stray' Is Coming To Switch For The Holidays
Oh man, that Switch resolution looks rough.
Here's hoping that these Switch games get visual upgrade on the next Nintendo console.
Re: Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics Will Get Super On Switch This Year
YOOOOO, LET'S GOO!!
Nobody expected this to happen.
Re: Nintendo Switch Online Gets Four New Additions Today, Including Zelda, Metroid, And Perfect Dark
Y'all know there's already a remastered version of Turok already available on the Eshop. The original game had bad controls.
Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Swings Onto Switch Next Year
So was this the rumored Donkey Kong game we've been hearing about?
Re: Dead Cells Designer Reveals Beat 'Em Up 'Tenjutsu', And We Really Hope It Comes To Switch
@Switch_Pro Sue them?
Is that what people do in America when they have nothing better to do?
Makes no difference to me. If the game looks like trash then I imagine the sales will reflect that.
Re: Rumour: New Leaked Codenames Suggest Turok, Tomb Raider, DOOM & More Are Inbound
@Paraka In a recent podcast, there were fans who were asking for Evolution.
Re: Dead Cells Designer Reveals Beat 'Em Up 'Tenjutsu', And We Really Hope It Comes To Switch
@Rykdrew It's literally just a bunch of pixels, there is a lack of actual art. I can barely tell what the main character is supposed to be.
Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Confirmed For Switch, Launching 2025
Game looks great, but why did they have to change the logo? You can barely see the number 4.
Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Confirmed For Switch, Launching 2025
@Laraishond We're all crying.
Re: Nintendo Is Seeking More Talent To Help Run Its Switch Online Service
@axelhander Now that you mention it...

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Define 'Retro'?
Kids these days will never know what it was like playing with a Tesla Coil back in 1891. True retro gaming.
Re: Crash Bandicoot And Spyro Studio 'Toys For Bob' Is Now Officially Independent
@nessisonett When people complain about capitalism but realize they still have to work to make money, lol.
Re: Talking Point: How Do You Define 'Retro'?
Anything with beeps and boops.
Games from the PS1 and PS2 era I still consider modern to a certain degree.
Re: Poll: So, What Are Your First Impressions Of LEGO's Zelda 'Great Deku Tree' Set?
Why hasn't Nintendo commissioned a Figma figure of Ocarina of Time Link yet?
I'm sure more people would like that than these over-priced toddler play sets.
Re: Review: PO'ed: Definitive Edition (Switch) - A Welcome Return For A Weird And (Sometimes) Wonderful FPS
What the heck?
I made an inoffensive comment about someone buying a 3DO when it was obvious bad financial decision and I notice that the comment was removed.
Man, this website/forum flipping sucks. You literally can't say anything unless it's overly positive.

I'd like to see the Chaos Emeralds appear in a Streets of Rage game.

Skip this remake and go straight into making Warrior Within and make Shahdee a playable character.
