Re: Rumour: New Leaked Codenames Suggest Turok, Tomb Raider, DOOM & More Are Inbound

@Paraka You say that and funnily enough Night Dive put a message in the credits of Turok 3 Remaster to have fans stop asking for Rage Wars. So even Night Dive is annoyed and after they went to great lengths to get Turok 3 remastered.

Despite the reception, Turok 3 is still a fully-fledged single player game even if it's a bit short, it's still replayable.

Rage Wars is basically: "We have Quake Arena at home."
Not to mention, Turok 2 already has a multiplayer a mode, what's the point of having Rage Wars remastered if take up time and resources better spent on remastering other more popular games rather than a niche multiplayer game like that?

So yeah, if you really want Rage Wars, good luck finding the source code.

Re: Hands On: 'LEGO Horizon' Builds A Welcome Entry Point To Sony's Series

@Daggot Yep, and Sucker Punch, the studio that made Sly Cooper, only wants to make open world Samurai games despite the over saturation of those types of games in the market at the moment.

It always surprises me when Insomniac can still make newer games while still maintaining it's core franchise like Ratchet & Clank relevant and not forgetting about it.

@Paraka It would be a waste to port that game over since it's just a multiplayer-only game with a short campaign.

If Saber is allegedly involved, it better be a brand new game since I kept hearing how Night Dive always wanted to make a new Turok game. And I'm all in support of them making a brand new Turok game with the same vibes as the original, after that stellar System Shock remake, I'd be fully confident in them making a new entry in the series.

Re: Sonic Team Open To More Characters From Comic Series Appearing In Games

@Daimando Pretty sure Sega gave the rights to IDW to start fresh with a new comic continuity to avoid the legal mess that was the Archie Comics when Ken Penders decided to take Sega to court for some of the "original characters" he created. That whole debacle is the reason why we never see Archie Sonic characters anymore and also Sega wanted stricter guidelines on how Sonic should be portrayed.

Re: Capcom's 'Super Elections' Reveals Fan Favourite Characters, Games And More

At this point, Capcom can't ignore the fan outcry for Dino Crisis.

On that note, what's taking them so long to make a new Final Fight game? The Street Fighter series owes its success to Final Fight for inspiring it to make the most iconic sequel in gaming history. Could Capcom at the very respect it enough to remake the first Final Fight and add Street Fighter elements into it?

Re: It's Official, SEGA Has Declared 2024 The "Year Of Shadow"

@Bobb That moment you realize that Sonic and Shadow were designed to appeal to, gasp , teens and designed by a Japanese artist who takes inspiration from Shonen anime.

It's funny seeing this weird Boomer-ish comment when Sonic in the 90s was also designed to appeal to kids and teens, especially in the West. But even though I'm not from the UK, Sonic appears to have gotten some "edgy" comics during that time and even though the Saturday morning animated show from that era didn't lean too hard into the edginess, it still had a serious tone and Sonic was far from being cute and cuddly compared to how he was depicted in Japan.

Although, I can't say his old appearance hasn't aged too well either, seeing as how in media he had a pot belly, stubby limbs, and a weird Mohawk hairstyle that looks really goofy by today's standards. Not sure if his Bart Simpson-esque attitude would be considered cool either?
