Super Nintendo World doesn’t look like it’s worth the hype.

This announcement took me back. I used to play Monopoly on the original Gameboy.

WOW! I forgot about Tomba! Had good times playing this game!

Never liked playing these kinds of games. Love scary movies, not scary games! 😆 I remember visiting a friend and he asked if I wanted to play RE6. I thought, co-op! I'll finally get to really dig into a RE game. While it was fun to play with my friend, I was disappointed in the game. I wanted to experience what I did while trying to play RE 1 and 2. It felt like an action game. Not a bad game. Just not what I expected.

Wow! I thought there would be a few comments about the state of San Francisco! My first thought was viral videos of people stealing.

@westman98 Imagine the press and internet reactions! Don't think Nintendo would want that smoke! A conspiracy theory attached to their brand! That's what it would turn into… conspiracy theories.

@SwitchForce Not sure why you @ me. I’ve always known about amiibo. I said I knew people who knew about them but didn’t know about the WiiU. Which said a lot about that era. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@Mew I was about to say the same thing. The height of their popularity was a weird time. People went crazy of these, but nobody was going crazy over the WiiU. I knew people who didn’t know the system existed but knew about amiibo. 🤪

I wonder if the big three expect this when they shut servers down.

I’ve never played a video game on YouTube. Actually… I didn’t know they had games. Last night, while waiting for my oven to heat up, I listened to YouTube. I see they have games. I click on Cut the Rope. Ever heard of the game. But the title caught my attention. I ended up letting my oven heat up way longer than planned. I got addicted to that game… QUICKLY! I had to force myself to stop playing. I won’t be playing it anymore. 😂

@BANJO i dont remember the soundtrack! Interesting to know! I grew to LOVE soundtracks over the years!

Back in the day, I spent many hours playing Extreme G while listening to the Spice Girls! ☺️

I LOVED Super Paper Mario! I was annoyed how it was never apart of the conversation when the latest Mario RPG came out on the Switch. And people reminisced on the great games of the past. I loved the game play and humor.

@Joeynator3000 Not a fan of Illumination. They don't make movies that warrant this kind of analysis. I didn't watch the Mario movie. So I was surprised to see this article. Then I saw your comment. And all is right with the world, again! 😄

I wonder what the workload is like for the Sonic movie crew. One movie every two years seems like a huge undertaking.

I don’t play Pokémon. So I can’t speak on gameplay. But after a certain game has dropped, Pokémon looks boring.

I saw the thumbnail and thought about Big Bang Mini. I LOVED that game!

Seeing this reminded me of something. Do you remember that game that was announced? It was a dude with a sword. The gameplay styles change. He could jump in and out of the different gameplay styles. I think it's an indie game.

When I used to see comments saying “There’s nothing to play” I wondered how much sun those people were getting. And it wasn't as if there was a drought in games. I used to wonder where did they find the time?

Whenever I see this game, I think about the sequel. This leads me to think about a word I haven't seen since the 90s (shout-out to the Panasonic, M2!)….VAPORWARE!!!

What mystique? Acting like they're Scientologists (before the world knew). 😂 I read a book about Rockstar, years ago. It went into details about development. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Are mobile games still a big deal? Outside of that watermelon game, I don't remember the last time I heard about mobile games.

At some point we would probably get more ET, moments, than Zelda. Kind of extreme, but, not really. 🤷🏿‍♂️

@Greatluigi I was thinking, movies. Back in 2011. When Disney released a Winnie the Pooh, movie, the same day, as the final Harry Potter, movie.

I loved the first game. Didn’t one of her powers involve crying?

@Anti-Matter For some reason, seeing that cover art, took me back to PC gaming, mid 90’s. When there were A LOT of game collections being sold. Also, bundled with new computers. 😂 🤷🏿‍♂️

I think back to 2015. When the rumors started. The new console. Nintendo, wanting to expand outside of video games. Merging console and handheld divisions. Not to mention, the skeptics. Look at Nintendo, now. Hotter than ever. Selling all those copies of Zelda, this late in the systems lifespan. The movies success, after… you know. Has the Switch help Metroid become more popular? Or is it still about the same?

Such a far cry, from the days of being “edgy” by including Mario in DDR. Or that occasional game, like, Eternal Darkness. Or deal, like Capcom and Resident Evil.

I had two friends. One with the Genesis version. The other, SNES. We spent more time at the friends house, with the Genesis version. 😂

April Fools is fun when your a child. It’s annoying, as you get older. You forget, but get a reminder, when you start seeing ridiculous articles. And don’t let somebody announce something, legit, that you may have interest in. The skepticism of it all. 😏

Is it safe to say, the Switch, has made Metroid, mainstream?

Has the Switch helped Metroid become mainstream? Is it even mainstream?

@HeadPirate hasn’t hostile takeovers happened to other game companies? I seem to remember reading about it happening to another company, and people wondered about Nintendo. And that’s how I found out about the steps it would take.

I’ve learned not to get excited. The last time, too many farming sims and RPG’s, that took me back to the 90’s. 😏

Is SpongeBob still a top tier show? I’m talking ratings. Has it regained any of its old luster? Are the spin-offs any good? I used to be a MEGA fan! If only I could post pics of my childhood, bedroom. That was a shrine to him, as I lived in that room, into my early, thirties.

I remember a dip in quality, after the movie. Which was the fifth season. But I still enjoyed it. By season nine, my interest dropped. I haven’t watched it since.

I remember the creator, returned, before he passed away. Did it help? I guess the fact that it got spin-offs, means it’s still pulling in numbers? 🤷🏿‍♂️

It’s always a downgrade, when it comes to Universal Studio, California.

AI art feels so cold. Even Van Gogh or Frida Kahlo’s work (self portraits) feel cold, still human. Although, I wonder. Would I still feel this way, if I didn’t know? On the flip side, my mindset was not a negative one, when I first heard about AI, art. But my feeling became stronger, the more I looked at it. 🤷🏿‍♂️

@Vil @Vil I got flack for talking about the abundance of JRPG’s and farming simulators, during the last major, Nintendo Direct. I couldn’t believe how many they showed. People made it seem like there was something wrong with me. I also agree with you, when it comes to the movie. Hopefully, Nintendo won’t miss the opportunity, to release an original game, along with the movie.
