The latest UK Charts data is in (after a short delay) and it showcases an impressive performance from Nintendo's premiere 3D platformer, Super Mario Odyssey, which sneaks back into the top ten after settling in at position twenty-six just two weeks ago. The game was recently released as part of a new 'MAR10 Day' Switch bundle and has also been subject to some minor price discounts at multiple retail outlets.

Elsewhere, the only newcomer in the top ten this week is WWE 2K23 for PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox Series X/S, which debuted at the number one spot, knocking Hogwarts Legacy down from its perch after five weeks on the top spot. Metroid Prime Remastered, meanwhile, is still chilling out in the top ten at number five this week, slipping down just one position from last week.

According to Chris Dring over at GamesIndustry.biz, sales for Metroid Prime Remastered actually increased by 24% from the previous week. The game's price has notably been discounted down from £34.99 to £29.99 on Amazon UK, so this might have partially contributed to higher sales.

Rather disappointingly for Bayonetta fans, however, is the fact that Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon has entered the charts at number twenty-one. Given that Bayonetta 3 debuted at number three back in October 2022, it's hardly the start that fans were perhaps hoping for. That said, for what is essentially a spin-off title, we're not entirely surprised.
