Okay so I don’t want to split hairs here but my understanding the Switch 2 version is same version of the switch 1 version, with the addition of access to the downloadable patch that improves the graphics. They’re the same basic game rather than separate versions

If you own it already, it will come over with the rest of your games and save data. This is not a GOTY edition. It’s the cart and access to a patch.

I no longer have access to the email in which my Nintendo account is registered to and because of stupid two-factor authentication I can’t change my address. So I’m stuck in a loop. I don’t think I got an email invite thingy because although I have loyally subscribed to NOL+expansion since its inception, there will be a gap when it renewed ‘cos I didn’t realise my membership expired because, yeah, I don’t get the emails.
Anyway, not bitter. I pre-ordered from John Lewis who have promised delivery Wendesday 4th June.

Plus, not sure this would hold as much value as he thinks - Miyamoto has done many signings over the years, making his autograph not that uncommon.

I did pick this up when the preorders went live, but if I’m honest the extra physical content is lacking the the price. I’m a magpie and generally a collector of special editions but this one sadly didn’t seem to represent value for money (game good though, so far!)

@Krambo42 me too. But I suppose the fact that SOTE is no longer regarded as canon would hamper its chances of release. Hope I’m wrong, however. We need a Shadows of the Empire movie!

Makes perfect sense to me. Release Dread to re-introduce or introduce the series’ roots.
There will be people who have never played the Prime games so getting this one out nearer the release of the fourth game in the series is a good move.
As for Pro vs Oled, I reckon the Pro is still a thing - again, with chip shortages and the like, makes sense that they release a ‘stop gap’ model. Nintendo have cited Apple’s yearly refresh as a good business model, they are slowly becoming more like Apple and I can see them upping the ante with revised hardware over the coming years

Average life span before Joy-Con drift is 2 years. I’ve got through two sets of Joy-Con with my second pair now beginning to suffer. The amount of people this affects is pretty horrible. My Switch doesn’t get massive amounts of action, either. They should really be doing something to rectify this …

I would predict the heavily rumoured ‘Pro’ model will launch alongside Zelda next year. This is just a stop gap. New hardware launched alongside software to make use of it is a bigger deal

The last thing on that list is music to my ears. The thought of going through the first few hours of this game, with its ridiculous hand-holding tutorial sections was placing me on the fence regarding buying this again. Now if I read reviews and I’m comfortable that I haven’t got to endure that again, I might well pick this up

Had a dream last night that a new F-Zero was announced. It was a GTA style open world game in a setting with skyscrapers and real towns. And you operated some of the vehicles by ‘running’ on the floor through the floors of them, Flintstones style
