They let Rare to be purchased by Microsoft because at that time (GameCube era) Rare was only the shadow of the old good golden Rareware. If you see any video in youtube - I think in gamexplain - you will understand that this choice was correct. It's like Microsoft owned a sunken ship instead of a goldmine. Nintendo should have purchased Rare from the beginning but they obviously didn't know what would happen in the future. So, this time with Monolith I believe again is a wise move to not have again the same result.
I think it was just a matter of time for Sony going alone to this gaming business. It started with Nintendo but they would understand later on that this scene has a lot of money and they know making devices, technology etc so they would be independent.
You can anytime listen to video games music for FREE via rainwave!! It contains not only from Nintendo but from other games / systems too. You can vote also. I'm listening to it every single day.
The brightness is too high and this game needs a good SOUNDTRACK. This and the sequel after this, have so mediocre soundtrack. Banjo's OST was so GOOD!!
I remember LBA. If I am not mistaken I had played a demo of it, as kid when we had CDs from computer magazines. I liked it but I hadn't the chance to play the full version. From what I am reading from the previous users, it must be a wonderful game!
@Ooyah Yes, what happened to 3 Eye of the Beholder games? I was playing in PC yeaaaars ago and there were great for that era. My first AD&D video game.
Yes, but it's unorthodox - "hey I inform people regarding Nintendo news and games but on the other hand I promote hacking, emulators, leaked information etc" !! It's a common sense - an internet user will probably learn new ways to bypass the legit and go to piracy because of these articles!
It's like shooting their feet by doing this kind of strategy! They release a game because of the date even if it has problems because they are in hurry, especially when it's multiplatform BUT they get negative reviews because of the problems and people don't buy it and later on where a patch will maybe show, people will have forgotten it.. Just release the game when it's ready because you will get lower sales!
@lovesushi yes indeed. I was playing aitd3 and I learnt back then the commands in autoexec.bat & config.sys for the memory so that the game could be run because otherwise, it could not start.
@bippity_bop Yes, I remember this cool level !! it was one of the best fps of its time, like the GoldenEye / Perfect Dark for N64 ! I was playing frequently this stage because I liked music: https://youtu.be/q2unMYxrBss Nowadays, in call of duty and similar fps in multiplayer modes, there is no music at all!! Only ambience..
Timesplitters 2 was a great game with great music! I was too obsessed back in GameCube and I was playing with bots. Fantastic single player and fantastic multiplayer!
@locky-mavo I still have GC timesplitters2 only but I really like this game. Something that old FPS have and not the new is that in multiplayer have music playing in background which is cool. In CoD etc they are silent and removed all the BGM. What a shame..
OK, thank you ALL for your opinions. I will choose Octopath Traveler 2 and maybe I will buy next Sea of Stars because I like snes RPGs. For example I liked very much Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana 1,2, etc.
It's need to be backwards compatible. The article is not good. This is what we gamers want. New games in a new system but still have all these library played enhanced if it's possible. We don't like the treatment - new system and forget all your past games. Apple and Google do this in some way with the apps / games.

Nintendo Life why you always mention these kind of articles? It's like you promote piracy? It would be better not to mention it at all!
