Re: Retro Studios Hires Industry Veteran To Help Steer Metroid Prime 4 Development

nkarafo

@AG_Awesome Some of Retro Studios artists and persons that were responsible for the trilogy, have already left since years. If I am not mistaken, they had left after Metroid Prime 3. The stuff had also said way back there that they don't want to make another Metroid title. They had done 3 titles and they were burned of this franchise. They wanted to make something different. Now, after so many years, Retro Studios is not the same company as it was before but many things have changed and new persons have been recruited. Hopefully we may see something good.

Re: Amazon Lists Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered For Nintendo Switch

Too bad that NFS series is at 30 fps and not at 60 fps as it should be. These are racing games after all. Speed is everything. Nintendo has acknowledge this and Mario Kart is at 60 fps. I know that NFS has more complex graphics but they should have an option for graphics and performance. I'm sure many people would select performance even though they would sacrifice graphics in a racing game.

@Simmo I have completed it years ago on PC. Fantastic game! One of the best indie games that I have ever played! Balanced difficulty, normal hours to complete (not very short, not very long), stealth gameplay at its best and good visuals despite the fact that are 2D, etc. Classic, must buy for me.

@Severian I am listening to videogames OSTs every single day since years! It's too good for working because they have no lyrics and are usually remarkable music tracks of almost every kind ! Even now I am listening (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAktXjsl9s0) and I am doing a Final Cut Pro X movie project! All these guys that are looking us like weirdos, have no clue what is going on. They simply cannot understand us. Even on radio, you will listen always to same songs and you will get bored to death after a time.

Re: Nintendo Could See Profits As High As The Wii Era Thanks To Global Lockdown, Analysts Say

@Ajent Yes, this is exactly what I am saying. I own PS4 also and I play Switch more BUT there are people that they don't want to throw money to two consoles and have only PS4. I am referring to those that they play Call of Duty, Resident Evil new titles, FPS, online games, etc. Look for example Capcom that they don't really support Nintendo. They are supporting Microsoft and Sony. If the next consoles will be out, RE8, SF6 and new Monster Hunter will be of course in PS,XBX. So, software and hardware sales will be lost again for Nintendo.
True that Animal Crossing and FF7 remake sold extremely well and Switch plays in its category as hybrid alone but I think that there is indeed an interest in graphics. It's the same as the PC users that nowadays don't want to play a game at 30 fps. They prefer 60 minimum or above if they have a better monitor. So, if for example Sony delivers a much better VR experience out of the box (if), then it will be an advantage to Switch.

Re: XCOM 2 Collection Brings Award-Winning Turn-Based Tactics To Switch This May

@Samwise7 I have completed Wargroove (some levels with walkthrough) and I like very much Fire Emblem too, however I found Xcom 2 a bit too difficult. XCOM1 was fine but the sequel was harder than I thought. It's true that in Xcom you cannot take back your actions and if you want none of your units to be dead, you will try again the whole level again and again. Mind though that it has a too much loading. On PS4 had a poor performance (in the launch of the game) but a patch came after a couple of weekes after the launch and I don't know if it was fixed. I struggled on a level and then I left the game as it is. I think that if you want to change the difficulty, you will have to restart the whole campaign. So, it's not a bad game but I think that overall Fire Emblem is better. In Fire Emblem also, you have a lot of freedom with 10 units and play a game with different weapons, skills, working together etc. Xcom2 is somehow different. It's not an indie game like Rebel Cops. It's full AAA game with researching, etc and it's like two games in one but if you can play the game on easy and if it's a solid port with good performance and short loadings, I think you will like this.
