I have the standard edition preordered from amazon for 49€58. I'm glad to support the physical edition. If a small game like culdcept can do a real physical edition for the same price as the eshop, everyone should do it. Support the real physical version not the gkc.

Great news I have them in my backlog, I'll play the switch 2 version instead. If disco elysium could get a free upgrade too compatible with the physical version please, that be great too.

@Scoopz I rather have a downgraded version than buy a game key card, or just skip the game depending of the game like I skip the ps5 and xbox series generation. I love the switch for the plug and play and the portability and it's the same for my switch 2 But I preordered rebirth because I played remake on ps4 and I wanna see where they are going plus the preorder discount. For me game key card are evil and you won't change my mind, I have the switch 2 since day one and 0 game key card, I rather buy the game on eshop at a discount than support the game key card or the game in the box.

@Scoopz final fantasy remake and rebirth use unreal engine 4, it's not a ssd only engine. Part 3 will use unreal engine 4 too. It's ubisoft that said the gkc for star wars was because their snowdrop engine. Square just don't care about physical game on switch 2. People saying the cartridge are too slow because of ubi don't mean anything because all game engine doesn't work the same, you said it yourself, and I really don't trust any declaration ubisoft made even if the cartridge are slower than the internal memory.

@SuppressorSteve I agree they manage to reduced it from 155gb on pc to 92gb on switch 2 it's really impressive but I think they could have made a really physical version for remake and any square enix game that could fit in a cartridge. Indiana jones is 120gb on pc and they reduced it on switch to 57gb. but I preordered rebirth on the eshop 48€ for a big game like that is a really a good deal so I'm supporting them when they makes good decisions, I can't wait to play it after the great demo they released last month.

@Scoopz then why indiana jones and cyberpunk manage to work from the cartridge on switch 2 ? They optimised the games to fit in a 64gb cartridge and to run great. Square just release game key card on switch 2 why bother to try to do a real physical version.

I already have the switch 1 physical version, gkc with no upgrade and no save transfer... I own almost all the switch 1 games square enix released but the only game I bought from square on switch 2 is remake because it was on sale at 30€ and rebirth at 48€. Not buying a gkc

The best ports are cyberpunk and indiana jones because they run great on switch 2 and they have a real physical version, not a game key card like 98% of the switch 2 third parties games.

Small games like Outbound and bubsy 4d are full cartridge but a big publisher like square enix can't do anything but gkc and for 70€, if it was 40€ or less I would consider it. I'm not buying elliot next month but I'm buyin rebirth, 47€ for it on the eshop so square got me and will still get my money next month.

What I like in the yoshi games is exploring to find all the collectibles, seems like it will be for me.

the game don't have a physical version in europe, just a code in a box so I never bought the game. and now the game will disappear forever.

Buy the switch 1 version they are 1080p 60fps already and it's a true physical and not a game key card like the switch 2 version.

I already preorder the physical version of Indiana jones, bubsy 4d and yoshi. On the eshop I have rebirth preordered since it was 48€. And may be outbound physical version if the performance is better than the demo.

I don't have the budget to pay a monthly fee just for one game even if the game is great.

I bought the game when it release, I played a few levels but I'm waiting for gyro to play again. Chromagun 2 launch with gyro aiming and mouse mod, powerwash 2 needs the same it's so much better with it. I really don't understand this downgrade from powerwash 1. When they'll add gyro and mouse mode, I'll consider buying dlcs.

@iLikeUrAttitude totally warner locked the nemesis system til 2036, they don't use it, shutdown the studios, are selling everything (and they couldn't care less about their video games department) and this game mechanic is just lost in limbo. But I'm sure if anyone tried to do it in their game, warner will sue them in a flash.

Waiting for a big discount or a physical version....

Gaming is dying, and we're here to see it crash and burn. It was great but it's over. The AI is already making everything crash, it will be even worst when the bubble will burst.

So today I'm downloading minishoot adventure, blue prince and the demos of denshattack and outbound. What a great direct, so many games I wanna play. I'm glad indies finally have switch 2 dev kits.

Hoping for blue prince and clair obscur expedition 33, but any indies would be great.

I'll stick with my physical switch 1 version. I already finished ys x on switch and I did everything in it. If it was an update I would have tried it but 70€ for a dlc and I don't wanna start over. Plus it's a game key card so no physical version but the game is only 9gb, less than 3gb more than the switch version. Falcom going the atlus way isn't a good idea.

Angry bird is not the ip it used to be, the free to play design doesn't help. And sega would sell more games if they release real physical version for switch 2, I would had bought the yakuza games, persona 3, raidou, two point museum... if they didn't release them as gkc. The only real physical is sonic crossworld and it's releasing month after release, I already have the physical switch 1 version + update. Just look at the japanese chart not a lot of gkc appears in them since release.

The volume 1 was already an early gkc, none of the metal gear solid games were on the cart. Konami really sucks at physical media so I'm not surprise. And the switch 2 is the worst with the physical media when the switch 1 was the best. Nintendo really dropped the ball with the switch 2.

I'll be interested when they decide to put the metal gear solid game in the cartridge of the physical switch version of the metal gear solid collection volume 1. I was so really happy when they announced it only to make the physical a early game key card. I never bought it not even on the eshop.

The demo was good except the gyro aiming is on the left joy con and no opton to change it to the right so it's useless. But it's a game key card so I won't buy it "physical" and wait for a big discount on the eshop someday.

Not buying the game because it's a gkc, I rather buy it for my ps4 than buy it on a gkc. But I rather play rpg on the go, so may be when it's 10€ and I have enough storage space I might buy it... In may I'll be supporting true physical media by buying Indiana jones on switch 2 instead.

I like the direct, but the fact that they don't say if the games are a key card makes the direct useless, just release trailer on youtube with the information if it's a stupid key card or a real physical version. as of right now I'm buying indiana jones because it finally has a real physical version, time stranger on switch 1 for my son and the switch 2 upgrade for me, tsubasa 2, kyoto xanadu on switch 1 because falcom will surely make a game key card with no upgrade for the switch 2. Orbitals, culdcept I liked the 3ds version but didn't played it enough and I wanna give culdcept another go and it's a real physical version. Last but not least may be rebirth on the eshop because it's 48€ but I need to finish some game to make some room in my sd express and I really hated what they did with FF remake when I finished it on ps4 but I'll play it to get my own opinion.

@Samalik the switch 2 edition is a switch 2 cartridge wit the the switch game and the switch 2 update on the card so you're right ditch the gkc and make switch 2 edition or real switch 2 cartridge

The game that have real physical version, outbound, chromagun 2, bubsy 4d. Dragon quest 7 next week but the switch 1 version.for the first party, we'll see what nintendo is gonna announce but right now I'm waiting for splatoon raiders. For the other publishers it's a wait and see if it's a game key card or not before looking if I'm interested by them. And I'm playing my backlog, I just started trails into reverie, finished another timeline in the hundred line, and I'm playing Hogwarts legacy.

@OmnitronVariant i finished it on ps4 too and really hated what they did,the pacing was horrible (5h to 40h), combat was repetitive. Everything about destiny was boring. And they ruin the shinra building part, the donjon was too long and I just wanted the game to end, but nomura did and put a lot of stupid things to make the game longer.
If I want to play ff7 I rather play the original on switch even if the remake was nice to look at.

Little nightmare 3 and sparking zero switch 2 were in the charts one week too but I didn't look for all the charts but in the one I saw I didn't see any switch 2 capcom games but will see soon with RE requiem and pragmata if they charts.

I'm glad no game key card made it to the best selling of the year in japan.

Great port but another game key card and I'm not buying any so pass. And I'm still playing my real physical copy of hyrule warriors so I'm good.

I need to start reverie, and than all the daybreaks. Buying the switch 1 physical version day one to put it in my physical backlog. Falcom really drop the ball by delaying all the release for a switch 2 game key card version.

@Old-Red just to be clear the switch 2 editions aren't switch 1 games with code nonsense. It's the switch game and the switch 2 upgrade full on a 64gb cart and it doesn't need any internet to play the switch 2 version, it doesn't have a code nonsense I'm wondering what you are refering to ? And I think The switch 2 line up is horrible because of the game key card that ruins it.

The switch 2 launch line up had one big problem that makes it the worst line up, Game Key Card.

Will it come with a sd express card in the game key card case ?
