Re: Mailbox: Game-Key Cards, Slacker Sakurai, Shapes & Beats - Nintendo Life Letters

@Dman10 my kids (9 and 5) play their 3ds and switch and they are really happy I bought physical games. And I buy physical game because it's easier to share gzmes with my kids and because they don't take storage space on the switch1 and 2 , 3ds, wiiu... Cyberpunk physical doesn't take much of my storage space, the digital version would take 60gb nope. So no game key card for me and I don't have a ps5 and series because I hate the fact that you need to instal games to play on them and if you want to play more than 5 games you have to erase others, game key is even worst because at least on psbox most of the games are all on the bluray

Re: Reaction: Switch 2 Needed A Partner Showcase With Pep; This Wasn't It

nathatruc

this direct was a confirmation that nintendo direct lost all hype for me because I'll never buy a game key card and everytime they announce a new third party game, my only question is: game key card or real physical ? and this direct was really bad everything I wanted is GKC so I'll pass and may be some day If it's 5/10€ I'll consider them. And nintendo needs to give indies dev kits.

Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Announced For Tomorrow, 31st July 2025

nathatruc

@Willo567 I don't buy games on eshop at full price just indies. I mostly buy physical version, I only game on my switch. The last playstation I own was the ps4 And I bought may be 20 games on it, I hated the mandatory install for the disc because when I wanted to play another game I always had to erase another game because the 500gb memory what always full. On switch it was plug and play like it used to be. I have only 140gb left on my switch memory my 256gb is already full just with switch games from my backlog. I buy physical because I want to put the game and not have to wait for 60gb to download/instal everytime I want to play another game. I don't have xbox or ps console now because I don't like what they do with their console, so if nintendo do bad things I won't support the too, game key card is the worst of both world, it doesn't save any memory space, need big download and take place in the shelf for a piece of plastic. If a game is a game key card, I just play something else or wait for the game to be real cheap on eshop. I was so glad metal gear solid collection was announced on switch 1 but the physical was a real scam so I never bought the game physical or digital, I already played all the games when they released and I wanted a physical version for my collection, so I could replay them someday. Game key card are the worst thing and I'll never gonna buy any like I never bought any code in the box or bad physical version like the MGS collection on switch.

Re: NIS America: Trails Beyond The Horizon Switch 2 Game-Key Card Release Is "Most Beneficial Option" For Fans

nathatruc

@HalBailman you can compare game's prices that are releasing at the same time, trails is full on switch 1 and ps5 for 60€. And on switch 2 it's in an empty cart for 70€.
Like raidou or no sleep for kaname date that released on the same time on ps5 switch 1 and 2 for the same price

Hogwarts, cyberpunk or yakuza zero released years ago on ps5 of course they are cheaper on ps5 right now than the stupid game key cards version

Re: NIS America: Trails Beyond The Horizon Switch 2 Game-Key Card Release Is "Most Beneficial Option" For Fans

nathatruc

@HalBailman raidou switch 1/switch 2 GKC same price 50€.
No sleep for kaname date s1/GKC same price 50€.
Yakuza zero GKC 50€
Rune factory guardians of azuma switch 1 60€/switch 2 edition 70€ / steam 60€.

Split fiction GKC 50€ psxbox 50€

They are doing a Game key card and selling the game at a price like they did a real physical version. They are doing the same as EA, so I'll treat them like EA.

Re: NIS America: Trails Beyond The Horizon Switch 2 Game-Key Card Release Is "Most Beneficial Option" For Fans

nathatruc

@LavaTwilight Totally agree, They should try. Nisa sells collector editions for 100$/200$ they know that it will sell even if it cost more. I rather pay more for a real physical, in the last months i bought the hundred line last defense 76€ physical imported from the us instead of 60€ on the eshop and atelier yumia too because they didn't release physical versions here in europe.

Re: NIS America: Trails Beyond The Horizon Switch 2 Game-Key Card Release Is "Most Beneficial Option" For Fans

nathatruc

I'm buying the switch 1 version for my switch 2, if a game is a game key I'll ignore it or buy the switch 1 version. Beyond the horizons will most likely be my last falcom game if they release just game key cards and no switch 1 version. I have all the games they release on switch 1, I love their games but I won't buy any game key it's the worst of both worlds

Re: Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot Is Hopeful That Upcoming Switch 2 Port Can Revive Star Wars Outlaws

nathatruc

the game is 65gb on pc, it will most likely be smaller on switch 2. I would have bought it on switch 2 but my 256gb sd express was already full on day one with my switch 1 transfert and I didn't install all my games, I had a 1gb sd card on my switch 1. I think I have 100gb left on my console. If the game had a real physical version I'd buy it day one but since it's a game key card I'll stick with the amazon luna version I already "own".

Re: Fantasy Life i Switch 2 Physical Release And Photo Mode Update Announced

nathatruc

@Doctor-Moo I bought the japan version for the switch 1 when it release and it's the same version as the digital version released in the west. and I bought the switch 2 update on the eu eshop

@Spider-Kev they released a switch 1 version in may. now it's a switch 2 edition version the switch 2 upgrade is in the cart like the zelda games, jamboree, rune factory azuma and kirby

Re: UK Charts: There's No Stopping Mario Kart World And Switch 2

nathatruc

@PharoneTheGnome it's not a upgrade, you have an option in the switch 1 game to activate a discount price for the switch 2 digital version on the eshop. I bought the digital deluxe for 15€ but you can buy the normal edition for 10€. It's the eshop version so it doesn't need the switch 1 cartridge.

Re: Trails Beyond The Horizon Slips To Early 2026, But It's Also Coming To Switch 2

nathatruc

I hope nihon falcom gives the western release to marvelous instead of nisa for futur titles, but if they keep doing key card, beyond on will be my last trails. I'm ok with the delay because I still need to start reverie, and than daybreak 1 and 2, And 1st chapter.
And nisa charging 10€ more for an edition without the game, what a scam ! I'll buy the switch 1 physical edition to play on my switch 2

Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Finally Lands New May Release Date

I wanted to buy two physical copies to play local coop with multiple switch with my son, we do this with snack world and it great. With the multi now it seems it coop online only or two player on one console but the second player can't use his character.... Nope that bad and the last nail in the coffin is that it's digital only. Didn't they learn with the release of megaton musashi that it was a bad idea. 10 years I've been waiting for this sequel now it's a pass I'll wait for it to be on a deep sale. Level 5 fell so low what a disappointment.
