Re: Nintendo Shares Drop Following Latest Reports Of Switch 2 'Delay'

@tourjeff
Just curious why you need the new console so soon if you have at least 6 months of backlog?

I agree with the backlog, I may be skipping the entire next generation to play and enjoy the games I have built up. I even 3DS games still sealed I didn't get to yet even though I waited a few years into Switch to jump in.

@JHDK

I agree with this.

Tears (and BotW -to a lesser degree, at least after the initial surprise of the large world ) is a total chore to play and a boring end to Aunoma's reign (we can all hope). I regret spending the overhyped price gouging rate of $70 on it and wasted over 50 hours trying to enjoy myself. I sold it just weeks later on ebay and there were so many others, like myself, selling it that I they were going for under $30 resale already.

Zelda needs OUT with the old tired rich guy and all his hangups and insecurity with the series IN with new blood!

Re: Soapbox: Game Freak Could Actually Learn A Thing Or Two From Palworld

A brand new top down classic but super ultra modern version of Gen1-5 gameplay can be greatly enhanced with newer developments and graphics and of course there is a goldmine of story content if they hired another company to collaborate with on that aspect.

Ditch trying to do 3D BotW type game and get back to the awesome settings, routes, gyms, and make it all new again.

That would be killer and basically all I want out a new game

Re: Zelda Producer Explains Why A Mario Maker Style Game Probably Won't Work

More from Aunoma... Time for him to take a break a long one -like on a different series. He has way too much control, way to reactive and overcorrections to the point that he contradicts himself in a endless loop. I really wish for him to move on and get some new much younger blood making decisions and literal direction for this series.

@CammyUnofficial
Finally after 30 years or so of trying, finally started getting the hang of SF, proper fighting instead of frustration. I prefer SF3, I like 2nd wave a lot, and I know 3rd strike is the best but my skill still not there.

Always loved SF and glad I can start to speak the language more. I can't do well at all on any of the earlier games, though I do like the 3 aplha's too, but SF3's have easier footsies for me since I can't nail specials every time.

I have to ask, what is your preferred controller method? I finally settled on the Snes Switch controller after trying the 8 bit, the zelda joy con. and the pro controller (which turns my hadoken into a meat grinder for my hand).

I bought Ultimate SF2 for a few days too.. I liked the way it felt but there was not much for me to do that wasn't already in the 30th collection so I sold it.

I've only worked on single player, usually in table top mode (looks awesome on oled!) - I'd get butchered online anyway!

Re: Zelda Producer Responds To Fans Who Want A More "Traditional Linear" Adventure

msvt

I don't care as much if it is "open world" (and that is code word for "padding" a game) or a focused 'actual' game -all I really want to to NOT be bored with Zelda. That literally never happened until Aunoma phoned it in with chore-play over a fun-play.

Just my opinion.

His quotes just further show the series is obviously too long in the tooth for Aunoma and he should move onto to something else and let some fresh blood in there to bring back a fun game.

Re: Zelda Boss Says A "Direct Sequel" To Tears Of The Kingdom Is Unlikely

msvt

I can't wait until they move on from this era's Zelda's. Should have been a new IP it would have worked out. I miss that feeling Zelda used to have, 2d, or my preference 3d.

I did not enjoy Tears, particularly. Endless chore I fought through for 40 hours before selling it as fast as I could.

I really feel and wish Aunoma would move on too.

Re: New Interview With Zelda Boss Suggests There Are No Plans For TOTK DLC

msvt

Interesting but not expected because TotK is already DLC anyway. Way overpriced and over hyped DLC, at that!
Ebay prices for the game have dived. I listed mine last week and failed to sell at just $43... I expect huge changes to the Zelda line next gen, most likely back to a much more focused, grounded game with an actual arc to gameplay and story, and less open ended kitchen-sink approach.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 2nd)

@LikelySatan

Snow is my highlight.... I remember playing this on below zero windy days where it dark for 16 hours per day! yes some of it is dated, the climbing and lack of paraglider are mostly what I miss about Nintendo's gem, but I think I am going to go back to the earlier Zelda's and hopefully I have forgotten enough of the golden era that is feels new again. I miss it.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 2nd)

@LikelySatan

So much adventure in an unknown (for me) world! I feel "on" the world as opposed to "on" it if you know what I mean. I played years ago on 360 and every so often in every day life the sky, setting, an old ruin somewhere, etc. reminds me of that game. I am glad I just rebought for Switch. I love the way it levels, and it my interest you; Use whatever weapon or magic or skill and that is upgrades as you use it. Pretty different to what I am used to, even though I know Skyrim is old now. For Zelda, the breaking weapons, the difficult (for me) bosses, the blood moon, which I think is cheap and a sell-out move of the developers, and reusing the map is not as groundbreaking as BotW was, except this time -more frustrating. An incredible game and amazing what they did for Switch.. but I am not having fun and feel bored and some dread to go through it. Glad you like it.

Re: Video: What Would A 'Master Mode' In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Be Like?

msvt

Its already quite challenging in a chore-like kind of way. They more than doubled down on breakable weapons, crafting obviously (though I like some of the new changes, ultrahand, etc.), and the clothes thing... and very difficult enemies, more slippery than ever brutally timed rain storms, if you ask me. I prefer exploring and a less chore-feeling and if they keep on this route, I am out on the next one moving forward. I think it could be more fun and playful vs dreadful at times.

A master mode would be good for those that like Souls games... but never ever would be played by me.
