It is cool option but the accessory is too expensive for me to buy it for so few uses. Maybe I can modify a way to stand the OLED up (like maybe with that Wii U gamepad stand?) and do it table top style.
Hard as heck for me... uninstalled it over frustration and a feeling of depression from the feel of the game. All the Dreknek & friends games do this.... I've always wondering if puzzles made by an AI code?
I bought two so far. OLED rules...there is NO need for a new console -this one is made for GAME PLAYERS, not tech chasers. We have time to get new tech in a couple years so we have time to really enjoy these massive amount of games. I can not keep up as it is.
Userbase in place = now sell some games! The sale prices are great and keeping me on the hook. I am always a sucker for deep discounts and my Switch is LOADED with tons of games I have not even clicked start on, yet!
@GameAndLuke Sword and Shield, right? I expected it to be a broken ugly mess and was surprised to see it play smoothly and look pretty good, better looking than Arceus. I will say that 90 hours in and it is the most most boring of all the Pokemon I played, the characters, well I just don't like or care at all... so I am just "hunting". All the previous Pokemon, the region was always relaxing and interesting to me (Alola is my favorite location so far), but even with the wild area the region (I don't even know the name!) in Sword is disconnected and very generic.
I haven't played Scarlet/Violet. Not sure if I will. Jumping back into Arceus after a year break and shutting down Sword very soon.
I love mine and will not upgrade for years after all these games. It takes time to enjoy them and get our value from them. Nintendo has so much it could do to add value too in the meantime while preparing an epic next gen in a couple more years.
OLED is so great. I a so glad I made the upgrade to make the handheld portion of my gaming 100x better! I still wish the screen was a bit larger -mostly due the poor SMALL TEXT issue with a lot of indies particularly.
I knew Spark of Hope would fail... I said it and meant it and it is so.
Too much and too soon -no matter how good either game is. They blew their chance at a generational franchise by shoving it out there. I liked the first game though never made it to the end.- a sequel was not needed when there is so much variety and quality to play NEWNESS is important. SoH not exciting -even for fans of Kingdom Battle
So many games, and with proper planning could have many more to come -not that anyone could play and keep up with all the gems available on this system from top to bottom.
To keep the massive userbase on the hook, add Gamecube, GBA, Wii remasters and we can ride this out so easily! Then rock the whole world with an epic powerhouse in 2025.
It will likely be earlier but I am not jumping into until at least the first upgrade to a new system and maybe even skip the entire generation to play some games instead of chasing and looking into games, I need time to enjoy them.
Incredible an extremely well-made indie game like this -with AAA production, clearly, is still ignored by so many sites. Especially ones that gush over Slay The Spire - this is like what a sequel t STS would be, adding in new components to the challenge. Monster Train is true gem on Switch and deserves way more attention.
Switch has so much life in it yet! I can't keep up... even if I was a 24/7 gamer it would be impossible even if you cut out all the low grade trash. The great games alone will take more a few more years before I'd consider a new system of any kind.
Golf Story was decent, but that was after some time, and certainly some lighter critique because they are an "indie" that got a pass for a basic game. But Golf Story was a one-trick pony anyway. I'd imagine this is not a good sing for the future of the team or their products.
Sports Story will remain a hard pass for me at any price, my time is more valueable then their game even at a deep sale price which is bound to happen.
Wow.. The state of the game -agreed by every review I have seen- is one of the biggest disappointing Switch news of the entire generation.
This small team needs to expand and god forbid ask another studio (maybe even Nintendo) for help.... they must be gutted -but why release it in this condition, they HAD to know it was wrecked and decided to go forward to cash in on holiday sales.
Not a good look at all. I'll keep an eye on how they improve and maybe by next year will grab it at a deep discount, only.
Totally agree and interestingly enough I don't have this same issue with the New 3DSxl model, yet i do with MANY Switch games, because they were meant to be seen as a handheld.
May of us are more exclusive NIntendo players that can only afford the time money and energy for one console at a time. And pricing is important factor.

Re: The Tetris Movie Falls Onto Apple TV+ In March, Check Out The First Trailer
Looks great! I'd like to see this asap.
Re: Soapbox: Switch Is Great, But The GBA SP Was The Pinnacle Of Public Transport Gaming
No sleep mode puts it out of my top pick. New 3DS XL was tops of this list for me.
Switch is too high price especially with the hundred e-shop games loaded on mine, so it rarely leaves the house!
Re: Review: Metroid Prime Remastered - A Long-Awaited And Stunning Return Of A Legend
@SonOfDracula
I recall that being the original NES Metroid - I think it would definitely not be included here.
Re: Review: Metroid Prime Remastered - A Long-Awaited And Stunning Return Of A Legend
Beat this masterpiece SIX times on Gamecube and then again as the Trilogy!
Very excited for the physical release.
Prime 2 was also a highlight but hard as hell. I would hope they tone down the boss fights a I was NEVER able to beat that one!
Prime 3? ...nah. I don't need to play that again at all.
Re: Poll: Would You Pay $70 For The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
A standard game at $70 is a hard NO from me, for any system, any developer, and at any time.
I'll either be priced out of the next gen, or stick with backlog and Indies + sales.
As it is my family and friends pass our games around - that will continue and I will play ToTK for free.

Re: Atari And Jeff Minter's Psychedelic Shmup 'Akka Arrh' Lands Release Date
Twin stick control?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Viewtiful Joe
Incredible that all these years later these games are not remastered for current systems.
I'd really only like the first one, but if it were a collection that would please all.
Re: Sports Story Blocks Access To "Secret Dev Room" In Latest Update (Version 1.0.4)

Re: Best Spin-Off And Crossover Games On Switch

Pokemon Puzzle League 2 would be great too!
Re: Best Spin-Off And Crossover Games On Switch
Pokken DX is such an underrated and often overlooked gem. I love it.
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th January (North America)
When do the weekly changes happen... it is 12pm each time zone, or pacific time?
Do the sales update at the same time?
Re: Feature: Best Japan-Exclusive 3DS Games - 13 Titles We Wish Had Come To The West
Puzzles and Dragons X was a heartbreak. That game played so good and was so much easier to follow. Real shame they kept it out of our reach.
And that Final Fantasy picross game too! I remember waiting for that one -it never came.
Re: Mojang's New Action-Strategy Minecraft Legends Arrives On Switch This April
Is this a tower defense game? Hard to tell what is going on.
Re: Feature: 6 Things We'd Love To See In Metroid Prime 4
STREAMLINE or eliminate SCANNING... or at least make it very quick and less intrusive!
I have the Trilogy (and Prime on GC) but wont replay them due to the slow scanning.
Prime 1 was one of my all-time favorites - but the slow constant scanning ha become an issue I am unable to play through anymore.
Re: Poll: Do You Want Weapon Degradation To Return In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
I hated the breaking weapons. On longer play times it became a DREADFUL and unwelcome chore.
In fact, for this new game, how they handle weapon breaking is a dealbreaker for this game for me.
I do believe they have addressed this issue though.
Re: Talking Point: In 2023, Do You Still Care About amiibo?
Lack of availability combined with a high costs of each of them (imo)... These were and are a hard pass for me since day one.
Though... the nerd in me feels a slight compulsion to want one, but I am not jumping in.

Re: Video: Does The Switch Actually Feel 'Old' Yet?
So many people JUST BARELY GOT Switch!
So much life left in this beast of a console.
I love mine and will not upgrade for years after all these games. It takes time to enjoy them and get our value from them. Nintendo has so much it could do to add value too in the meantime while preparing an epic next gen in a couple more years.
Re: Japanese Charts: Switch OLED Model Dominates, Selling Almost 150,000 Units
OLED is so great. I a so glad I made the upgrade to make the handheld portion of my gaming 100x better! I still wish the screen was a bit larger -mostly due the poor SMALL TEXT issue with a lot of indies particularly.
This model has years left in it.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Will Receive Ver.1.2 Update Next Month
@Zuljaras
I did the exact same thing and currently 90 hours in the Sword + expansion version.
Decent game that got slammed in an unfair way.... it's not all that exciting compared to other mainline, but seems like Pokemon to me!
I am unsure if I will ever play these new ones at all at this point.
And Pokemon is one my favorite series.
Re: Feature: Which Zelda Games Should You Replay Before Tears Of The Kingdom?
Ocarina of Time 3DS!!
....or Minish Cap through Wii U
Re: Talking Point: After Pixel Remaster, What's Next For Final Fantasy On Switch?
GIMME THE TWO WiiWare GEMS!!!
My Life As Dark Lord, and My Life as King HD remasters for $5 each. I may even pay $8 for those.
Very excited for the Pixel Remasters.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord (WiiWare)
Fans of this game should try the excellent Monster Train First Class on Switch.
It has a similar tower defense action while using cards as the player moves, crossing Slay The Spire with My Life As Dark Lord.
Cheers.
Re: Monster Train First Class

Massively inexperienced developer.

Re: Lara Croft's Tomb Raider Switch Spin-Offs Have Been Delayed To 2023
Real Tomb Raider or bust for me!
In fact a total remake of the '96 classic would be amazing, one of my all-time favorite games. I also liked the first reboot TR.

Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection Launches On Switch Spring 2023
I have decided I am passing on ALL of these due to pricing annoyance. I will play FF6 on my Wii as I have (a FF3) on Virtual Console.
Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection Launches On Switch Spring 2023

About the one-console thing, just meant many of us that don't use Steam wouldn't have known those prices.

Thank you!
I will be eShop wishlisting FF4 (ff2) and FF6 (ff3) for an inevitable sale and leaving out all the others.
Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection Launches On Switch Spring 2023
The price is infuriating enough that I have to pass even though this was so highly anticipated!
Any word in what each game on the eShop will be?
Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2022 - Our Most Played Games
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection with the SNES controller.... Oh yes, how fun!!
Re: Final Fantasy 1 To 6 Have Been Rated For Nintendo Switch By The ESRB
So worth it for FF4 (was FF2 here when released) and FF6 (was FF3 here when released) alone. The others are just padding as far I'm concerned.
