Re: PSA: Switch 2 Is Getting Revealed In The Next 100 Days

msvt

I am no where near ready to move. I have no idea how they are going to get the majority of Switch players now to upgrade this time. So many games still eft to play, and I'm not made of money.

I intend to TRY skipping this gen and enjoy what I have, I wonder how they will lure me into "unavoidable", this time? Hmm....

'cause they always do, even with the dreadful Wii U which I had almost no fun with. In fact I disliked it s much I skipped Switch for 3 years into it.

@MrCarlos46

I know, and I have several work-a-rounds. A good ol' Nintendo pride and joy D-Pad would do my heart good. The WiiU pro controller was great. Switch Lite had a nice one as well. Snes Switch controller is ok but street fighter made it squishy quick.

Oh, the Hori Zelda Dpad joy Con was actually kind of decent, but had to handheld mode only. All they need to do is offer a real Joy Con with D-Pad and that's what I'd ask for this time.

Re: Palworld Developer Pocketpair Changes Pokémon-Like Summoning Mechanic

@LadyCharlie

Filed or not, those mechanics already existed in Arceus for example, which was out for a year(ish) prior, while the clone game was being developed. That's how patent and trademark law work, it often comes down to first public use.

Opinions are cool as cucumbers all day long but the facts will sort this out and both companies will come out the other side of this with a clear separation of these brands, and maybe gamers will have a new IP that becomes more of its' own thing, as it should be. Can Palworld stand on its' own with aping Pokemon?

Re: Anniversary: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Is Now Six Years Old

I totally expect and hope for a Mario Kart 8 DX version Ultimate DX to be near Switch 2 launch, with more modes, new characters and of course all the DLC + enhancements.

Day 1for me, been holding off on the DLC all this time, because I expected it would happen this gen.

@FaroreAbhorsen

I always holdout for the 3rd Poke releases, so I got the expansion pack physical for both Sword and for Violet. I am around 130 hours in Violet, doing post-game stuff but not yet even started the DLC. Doing a break for other games before going back in to do the DLC. Looks good to me though, but not played yet.

Several patches are usually out by the time I play so I get what I feel are totally playable and decent games. I love 'em as an adult gamer.

Massively underrated games and I love the heck out of Violet and the DLC.

Top 3 Pokemon game from me of the entire series.

By the time I played them, they look good, play pretty well and the world is huge and full of moving and objects and pokemon literally everywhere. Any console would have struggled pumping all that out at once, even during battles in the background

So far have 130 hours of fun with more to do in Violet/DLC.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Confirms He's Working On A New Game

Smash Ultimate DX with all DLC, all stages from all previous games, Smash Run!, Adventure mode in a melee game mode, a few brand new characters, other modes, who knows...

and whatever else we can toss in this kitchen sink version. Gameplay is slick and how much better can it get?

Upgraded graphics and rollback netcode and Smash as a series could basically conclude after that.

Re: Pokémon Developer Game Freak Reportedly Hacked, Massive Amounts Of Data Allegedly Leaked

@RubyCarbuncle
Really good point! I agree with you.
I was just thinking that too. I am in Area Zero now and it really looks like a nice art direction and the gameplay has a proper flow o it. I feel like I am in Jurrasic Park, but with pokemon, r maybe land of the lost.

Good point -I am glad I waited and got the expansion on the cart (at least on the cover, not sure if I had to separate download).

I just think some people put a lot of care into this game and maybe it was rushed out the door too soon.

Oh, also worth noting, I like the single player aspect of these games, I never have done multiplayer, and this Violet era is really good for single player gaming.

@Doctor-Moo

Could be a replacement Joy Con option. The third party one I have (the zelda one, Hori I think) is not even wireless.

In Fact, imagine joy con options going even further, like a Gamecube layout to slide into place.

Not their priority I am sure, but I would love this kind of thoughtful approach. And D-Pad is literally Nintendo, so I still hope for it. Switch Lite had a nice one on it
