I think we can afford some openmindedness in the comment section
First off, I’m no expert on the topic but when I see comments like ”CEO capitalist” I have to jump in… why would a CEO be more capitalist than anyone else? If you generalise heavily, maybe, but what title does a founder of a company get by default as a solo entrepreneur? That’s right, CEO, but most of those do that for their passion in their field, where they believe they can make a positive impact on the world. And if that impact is realised, that person might after a while have dozens, hundreds or thousands of people within that company. Does that suddenly make that person bad, because of having had success with their passion?
As for AI, seeing how fierce competition can be for survival, it’d be risky to not use any AI for almost any company. I fully agree with the post above about the soul of a creation, and I too hope we can judge art for art, but I also believe that the art of creating something great can come from different types of inspiration and doesn’t necessarily have to be from something hand drawn for example.
In my experience, AI has tons of uses, some of which are less benign and some which have been used for years before under the guise of machine learning and automation. Generating images is another thing, but what about generating 100 versions of a pic you made holding something at different angles? Is it that far off from when animation studios went digital? What would be the value add of doing that manual labour yourself?
Also, the CTO at our company is talking a lot about how AI is enabling even MORE creativity, since the manual grunt work can be kept at bay. It’s not great for junior coders, agree, but for senior coders they are freed up for greater stuff. So pros and cons?
I would believe that companies that won’t use ANY AI throughout their development process will be at a deep competitive disadvantage a few years down the line, if not already today.
So… this has likely been tread over ad nauseam elsewhere, but which is the best Persona game of all according to you lovely people on here (and would that be fine to start with)? How does 3 Reload rank, does it come close?
Interesting, you called Legacy for ”the first great horror game” on Switch (score 8), so looking forward to this being reviewed.
Haven’t tried the series myself, but read that the 2018 version was a bit rough around the edges in the graphics department so hope this will address this.
Well, if it’s only on the cover that’d be a non-issue but I can see why people are wondering. Let’s see if anything is changed within the game, but that would of course have required much more effort.
Right now playing through Octopath Traveller 2 after having been stuck in my backlog for too long. Wow, it sucked me in fast just like the first game and I’m enjoying it a lot. I really love this series.
Not sure everyone can deduce this from the article, but if you do own the Switch 1 version but not anniversary that’s the cheapest upgrade path.
However, when I tried to buy anniversary yesterday it was still 19.99 Euro or such - I have another currency - on my Switch 2! (There was a link to the anniversary + Switch 2 upgrade from the game’s start up screen)
To get the cheaper price, I had to boot up the game on my Switch 1 instead, where the link took me to the cheaper 9.99. After that, the Switch 2 upgrade was a free download on my Switch 2. Maybe helpful for someone else.
(I guess a neutral ”Of note:” part beside the joys and cons could be something for the future, or a fact box that includes an estimated runtime. To be fair, the phrase ”Be aware” is likely an effort to make the con more neutral, but still funny )
Looking forward to this coming out in Europe! As three others already mentioned, a short runtime is not always a negative especially for this type of game
Played through this yesterday! The visuals are top notch indeed, but the battle system and environments felt a bit bland to me so far. I loved FF VII growing up so it was still fantastic to see Cloud, Tifa (however brief) etc on the screen again
A falling puzzle and merge game huh… it looks quite a bit like Puzzle Bobble to me! Just shooting downwards instead of upwards. Since I much enjoyed Puzzle Bobble back in the days I might give this a try
@Oldstalk I played through every last bit of the original and have been wondering why I haven’t felt the need to play Silksong despite that. I think the reason is what you describe! I’d likely love a more upbeat alternative that plays like this.
I found them quite cool apart from the Classic Sonic one.
A yeah, mechanical keyboards like these are always expensive, so doesn’t seem like too much of a premium for these. I’m not the target segment for expensive mechanical keyboards however
But most of all, thanks for the post(s) above reminding me of Phantasy Star Online. Good times.
This made me happy at least. It’s not one of the big franchises someone mentioned above, but that makes it more interesting to me. It kinda gives me some of that vibe that Fable gave me when I first saw and read about it back in the days, so can’t wait to try it out
@Moroboshi876 quite sure I read on this site (another article) that it’s 17 dollars or pounds or similar to upgrade. Maybe someone can confirm here as well
Could maybe also have some news about movie/series, but since at the game awards…
Wouldn’t mind a ”Lara Croft starring in a new Horizon game on Switch 2!” - calling it (for those who don’t know me, yes that’s obviously a joke, not that I WOULD mind though haha)
@Bex_Tries thx for the added flavor Think we are much aligned on Galaxy! As for those mentioned, those are all great. My fav Mario to this day is Super Mario World however. Not because it’s 2D but… I guess equal measures world map/level design/secrets/cape power up and nostalgia
@Mikeopferman lol, this made me laugh. I remember two ”campaigns” from my childhood: Legend of Zelda which was to be my ”last game ever” (yeah right.. not so smart of me to play that card haha) and then RC Pro Am Racing, where my dad called me out on Zelda and ”last game ever”. Still got the game though Thanks dad
Basically, all I want to know is who of you are also playing Sky: Children of the Light since I saw a “2” in the list for the first time (I’m also playing Octopath Traveller 2, Cyberpunk and Dark Souls)
@Bex_Tries my exact feelings about SMG2 as well back in time!
@D-Star92 your profile FTW - hope you’re having a lovely day too!
Also just wanna mention that wow, the backlog just exploded what with all the new fantastic releases! Looks as if 2026 is already packed for me.
Won’t dare to get my hopes up too much, but this could be such a great game for me if it delivers on most of its promises 🙈 Looks and sounds awesome and right up my alley 😁
As very many above already mentioned, please tell these people to stop using the term “impossible” when it already has been achieved earlier. Just use impressive or on a satisfactory level or similar… I’m glad for this and all other ports that show up respectfully on Switch 2, but using the term impossible kinda justifies ports to do worse and I think most would agree with me that we don’t want anyone to actively support lowering the bar.
Nice! Without realising this was being released now I recently started Octopath Traveler 2 and am massively enjoying it. Looking forward to this afterwards
Much better than I feared. This review reads like a 10/10 to me, so the end score surprised me when I first came to it. But looking through other reviews and hearing Alex in the video review definitely makes me see why it’s rather an 8 or 9 worthy game.
Personally, I can’t stand motorcycles thrown in where I don’t think they fit, equally so here as in Zelda Breath of the Wild. At least in Zelda it was a late DLC unlock and not part of the main game So desert biking is a big turnoff for me, but I wouldn’t let it bother my enjoyment of the rest of the game when it looks and plays as good as it sounds
Heh, had this for years but still wrapped in plastic. Too many great backlog games to ever get to this one I fear, but keep the compatibility updates coming!
Reread this again now after following a link. Even nicer than I remembered! Funny how he dreamt of Miyamoto long after leaving, and how he takes it for granted that students sleep during class at uni ( in Japan they do but he says it so off the cuff I guess he sees it as the natural order of things )
@Jeronan thx for info, I loved Cyberpunk on Switch all the same in the end - likely because I hadn’t experienced it elsewhere - so hopefully I’ll feel the same about this one

Have they ever released a Skyrim version in this bad shape? I doubt it. Way to ruin a sweet track record.
