Re: Android 17 Is Being Added To The Character Roster In Dragon Ball FighterZ

As if we needed any more proof the datamines were credible, here we are. I love this game and am looking forward to its continued support!

@NYCallday If we're doing GT, I'd rather see Baby Vegeta. The Baby arc is the only remotely watchable one, in my opinion.

@Heavyarms55 Getting 3 Gokus (5 if you count Black and Bardock) in the game took priority because priorities.

Re: Nintendo Direct Delayed Due To Powerful Earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan

I could've used this Direct as a pick-me-up after an usually difficult week. However, any complaints wouldn't be justified in the wake of a tragedy. All the best to those affected.

Man, some of the comments here are just unbelievable. I wager these folks would be among the most helpless if nature's wrath came knocking at their doors. Spitting on the vulnerable doesn't exactly convey strength and levelheadedness.

Re: Spewart Hat And Suit Added To Super Mario Odyssey

jtmnm

The Odyssey datamine from a few months back revealed that this and the other costumes are actually included in the base game. What Nintendo's doing here is incrementally granting access to already completed content under the guise of continued support. That's pretty lame of them.

New content would be nice. I thoroughly enjoyed Odyssey, but it's painfully short. A new world would benefit it a great deal.

Re: Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 Announced For 28th August

jtmnm

Didn't we just have one of these a few days ago? Two Nindie-focused Directs in a row is a bit much.

With the likes of Doom Eternal, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Dragon Ball Fighterz, Tales of Vespiria, Dark Souls, TWEWY, Grandia (I & II), Diablo III, and whatever others we're expecting in the coming months, why not have a Direct aimed at big third party games?

Re: Rumour: New Nintendo Direct Airing Later Today

jtmnm

I was excited until I read this is likely to be a Nindie-focused Direct . . . which is fine, however; with the rumored NSMBU port and the upcoming online service launch, I assumed we'd be getting a meatier presentation. Another time, perhaps.

Re: Diablo III Eternal Collection Officially Announced For Nintendo Switch

@electrolite77 Agreed! After his blusterous tirade coupled with a hilarious grouping of citations (and I use that loosely), I think it's best to consider EightBitMan a tool for our amusement; either a troll or a deranged person with too much time on his hands.

What EightBitMan's doing here is the equivalent of a lunatic screaming at a restaurant's waitstaff for rising food prices and then lecturing its customers for still eating there. Annoying to most, but amusing to some. I find it better to be the latter.

Keep being you, @EightBitMan. You're a gift that keeps on giving.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Switch Online Service Will Launch In Second Half Of September

jtmnm

@mazzel It serves in Nintendo's best interests to market its products and services well. Given their shoddy record with online affairs, it's reasonable to want their first paid online service detailed beyond a few sentences. This has nothing to do with leaks or being "spoiled".

By the way, this is dropping next month (with no set date, mind you). I wouldn't describe that as "ages" away. To know so little about such a crucial service so close to its loosely defined release is questionable.

Re: Capcom Releasing Mega Man 11 Demo In September

Posted about this in the thread earlier! Got the amiibo edition preordered from GameStop. Thrilled to try the demo! I have very high expectations. This will finally put to rest the colossal disappointment that was Mighty No. 9.

Side note:

The FighterZ beta went live with broken servers. As far as I know, no one can play it. Unsure if NL covers things like this, but I thought I'd share. @Liam_Doolan

@SimplyCinnamon53

The only information available consist of bullet points that barely register as marketing language. So far, Nintendo's first paid online service is described as access to basics like cloud saves and online play. The included game library is shrouded in mystery, and many doubt its significance as a replacement to the recently confirmed dead VC.

Other aspects include community. The Switch hasn't done much regarding connecting its users outside some minor social media integration and a sloppy phone app. The lack of apps like Netflix and a web browser raise the question if these too will be locked behind the service. Asking for these details is fair and frankly should've already been addressed.

Re: Ubisoft Has Halted Development Of Steep On Nintendo Switch

@EightBitMan

You really just crafted a verbose argument based in shaming people for enjoying Nintendo's platform(s) . . . on a Nintendo fan site . . . and then backed it with a dated list of citations mostly from nobody YouTubers. 😂

I will say one thing: It's impressive how you managed to stretch this article's reporting to support your nonsense. There are valid Nintendo criticisms, but yours jump the border into "Nintendoom Land".

Regardless, obvious troll is obvious. You don't deserve to be dignified any further. Consider your time might be better spent elsewhere.
