Square Enix has shown new trailers for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition, World Of Final Fantasy Maxima and Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! at this year's Tokyo Game Show. In addition to this, it was also revealed Romancing SaGa 3 was on the way to the Switch. Take a look at each of the trailers below:
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition
Release Date: 2019
This remastered edition of the GameCube classic supports four players online, includes new character voice-overs and added areas, and will only be released digitally in North America, with the situation likely to be the same for Europe.
World Of Final Fantasy Maxima
Release Date: 6th November 2018
Here is Square Enix's rundown on the game, courtesy of Gematsu:
Powering up the original release from 2016, World of Final Fantasy Maxima will bring new Final Fantasy champions and Mirages to add even more fun and excitement to its unique adventure. It also introduces an all-new Avatar Change System, giving players the ability to fight exhilarating battles as legendary Final Fantasy heroes, including Noctis (Final Fantasy XV), Yuna (Final Fantasy X), Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII), and many other fan favorites.
Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy!
Release Date: Winter 2018
This is another role-playing game where you take control of a Chocobo and battle a variety of enemies. As shown in the trailer, there are many different jobs that give you different abilities in battle.
Romancing SaGa 3
Release Date: Early 2019
Following in the footsteps of Romancing SaGa 2, which is already available on the eShop, Romancing SaGa 3 is another high definition remaster due out on the Switch in early 2019. Alongside this announcement was the reveal Romancing SaGa Re: Universe. It is a free-to-play mobile title with micro-transactions set 100 years after the events of the original games. It's also the first time in 23 years a new entry in the series has been released.

NEW AREAS FOR FFCC??? YESSSSSS!!!
Apologies, I adored that game and am just so excited it’s being rereleased. Some of the most fun I had with friends growing up.
Also I actually am very interested in the Mystery Dungeon game and thankfully that comes this year!
I'm too excited definitely buying it for switch. If anyone has a Nintendo discord lemme join so we can play this together
Now that Nintendo and Square Enix are all cuddly again, it would be great if a Super Mario R.P.G. was brewing somewhere.
Eh I'm not really excited about this. I never played CC although I may try it this time.
I am more excited for all the other ones coming to Switch though. Hopefully VIII eventually too. Next year is the 20th anniversary after all.
Will sora be playable in Final Fantasy Máxima?.... Does this game have the previous DLC from the PS4 version?
Ports, ports, ports, still hope for a KH3 on Switch announcement
@oji at this point kingdom hearts 3 would also be a port.
Isn't romancing saga based on the snes game?
@jobvd Yes, it's an SNES series.
I haven’t played any of these so I’m stoked.
I'll be buying probably all the FF games coming to the system, including Chocobo's Dungeon just for that sweet PS1 nostalgia.
Thank you Square Enix for reminding us that the PS Vita is not dead yet (even if it was just one game). Now what you say Bloodstained?
@Al_Godoy Super Mario RPG H.D. with visuals similar to Toads Treasure Tracker / Super Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Take my money.
Heha, yes. FFCC, you can't be release fast enough. Can't wait to play some classic multiplayer gameplay.
If they're physical releases, I'll get World of Final Fantasy (PC version runs at 30fps anyway, lol)and Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon. If FF:CC is looking that rough and not running at 60fps, I may opt for the PC version. . Kinda sad for a 2003 GC game to be looking like that in an "HD remaster" Its still early though so anything can change tbf.
FFCC only digital!? BOOOO! Might buy it at a discount or when the're is a drought of good games to play. Physical = day one instabuy.
And still, not even one single screenshot of Dragon Quest XI.🙄 At this point, I suspect, the game doesn't exist and SE is trying to make people forget/don't care about it.
@TurboTEF I noticed that too. The disclaimer did say it was still in the works. They did say the release was in 2019. Plenty of time to polish it up, and make sure the game run 60FPS easily. I mean, it do look and run well on the Gamecube days. Shouldn't be too hard right?
I think I'll get most of these and retire my Vita.
I do need to get on playing romancing saga 2. Glad they are porting some of their other franchises that are a bit more obscure! Bahamut Lagoon anyone?
@Nintendolife World of Final Fantasy Maxima comes out on 6th Nov 2018, not 2019.
@geheimxy whoops, fixed!
Dull ...Romancing Saga 3 looks okay
@saintayu VIII was my first one and my favourite. I'd never played a proper JRPG before that and have been hooked since.
How did Square manage to consume my entire wallet in just one year? I feel.....used.....

@oji keep hoping, won’t happen, the game is out of the Switch’s power at this point, they’d have to downgrade a lot to port it to KH3. If it even happened it would be long after it releases on the PS4 but I don’t see them pulling it off unless they went the FFXV Mobile route and stripped the game down. Better for them to not even bother with Switch than do that.
Plus, as someone else mentioned, it would still be a PORT.
Day one. All of them.
Chocobo's Dungeon looks like my kind of dungeon crawler. Give me an adorable Chocobo and solid Square Enix RPG design, and that's a dungeon crawler I can get on board with.
World of Final Fantasy is just excellent. Have it on Vita and PS4. Will probably eBay them to fund the expanded Switch version, which basically combines the 2 into 1 with handheld and console.
Never played Crystal Chronicles. I'll rectify that soon enough.
And why yes, I'll take an HD remaster of SaGa 3 to sit alongside SaGa 2.
Romancing saga is a must buy!
No F.F. Tactics ??? SIN !!! It's a SIN against gaming humanity !!!
Square-Enix, Bow down and pray for ultimate forgiveness for this fall from grace !!!
Now I've watched vids, but I can't really figure out what the heck Funko Fantasy Pop World is, I mean, it says you can play as some classic characters, but what is the game itself and what's it about ???
(Yes, I know it's NOT really called "Funko Fantasy Pop World", but i can't be the only one who thought of that name after seeing those characters)
I really want to get Crystal Chronicles, but I NEED couch co-op or it's no sale. That was what made the original experience fun for me.
Missed FFCC first time round on GC so might be tempted to give that a spin, although gutted no physical release.
