I guess this means that I will need a family membership to use two Nintendo Accounts on the same Switch making the service 44.99CAD per year. Not too bad, I suppose. It could always be better, of course.
I wonder what other NES titles they'll have. I see that "It will also be possible to play these games offline." That's good. At least that's what is stated on the Nintendo of Canada site.
The Nintendo of America site seems to suggest that some games may have online functionality without this service. Maybe that will be the case for Rocket League or Minecraft or Stardew Valley (when online starts), for example.
@Rockmirth It's more of a pre-load than a pre-order. You download 99% of it and then the 1% downloads when the release date and time occurs. (Or some similar percentage.) This can be helpful for slower connections as well as bogging down the server on release date.
Definitely a fun game. But, I have no need to double-dip on this one...even with the added co-op. I wonder if it has the Toad amiibo support like on the Wii U?
I enjoyed the parts where it stated that it wasn't final game footage. I thought that was neat as the game is coming out in less than seven weeks. Maybe this is normal. I'm not too sure.
@Menchi187 There certainly are some extreme examples of fanboys who would, no doubt, buy anything that has the name Nintendo on it.
I like Nintendo, just like everyone else on this site, but I have no need to purchase every retro game or Amiibo or box of cereal or what have you just because it says Nintendo.
Mind you, I did stop in North Bend, WA and took a picture of the Nintendo sign. I think it's a production and distribution centre.
That's a shame. I hope he is able to learn from this and move on with his life without having the need (or desire) to steal from others. We've all made mistakes in life. I cannot judge a man from two paragraphs on a video game website.
I really enjoyed the game on the WiiU. Its humour and gameplay are great. I know that I didn't quite finish it either as my thumbs just weren't quick enough for that last batter...or at least I think it was the last battle.
Proper Activity Log. MiiVerse (or something similar). Folders. An easy way to move games or apps from the internal memory to the SD card and vice versa. (Maybe I didn't see this one.)
All those other things are done well enough on the plethora of other devices that exist and most homes have at least one other option for Netflix, Internet, Facebook, Twitter, and the like.
Definitely pass on Hyrule Warriors. I played it enough on the WiiU. More importantly, we would need another Switch to have a similar experience as we did on the WiiU as with the WiiU one person could have the Gamepad and another person could have the TV.
Never got into Donkey Kong Country so I'm sure I'll pass on that one as well.
A truly wonderful game that I think I enjoyed even more than either of the Dig games. When it gets a great sale on the Switch, then I might buy it again.
My daughter and I tried out the demo last week and I was simply not impressed. Part of that may have been the fact that we loved Max and the Magic Marker, which allowed us to solve problems in unique and creative ways. I think this game is going to need a good discount before it ends up on our Switch.
@NinNin The real tricky part is doing both at the same time. I know I have a lot of trouble playing Sudoku while mountain biking. Damn near put a 9 in the wrong square!

Re: Reaction: What are Your Thoughts on Nintendo Switch Online?
Seems okay. We still don't know a lot so I guess we shouldn't get too excited.

Re: Video: Check Out The Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update In Action
@thesilverbrick I also do a lot of things wrong on Minecraft.
Re: Video: Check Out The Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update In Action
@thesilverbrick I have an eleven-year-old sidekick who assists me. Well, it's more critiquing than assisting.
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th April (North America)
@Dang69 I'm really looking forward to working with the Labo. I think it's a great concept.
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th April (North America)
I have a bunch of overpriced cardboard that I should do something with.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Quest for Dungeons
Graceful Explosion Machine
Robonauts
Thimbleweed Park
Oxen Free
Seems I like indie games...especially when they're on sale.
Re: Legend of Kay Anniversary Will Slash Its Way Onto Nintendo Switch In May
I tired it on the WiiU. It was okay. I wouldn't recommend it, however.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Retail Games Hitting Nintendo Switch This Spring
@Bondi_Surfer Or release subsequent games that might make the timeline of the franchise unclear. Thinking about Zelda here.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Retail Games Hitting Nintendo Switch This Spring
@Kynwal Seems to be a common theme. I'm sure we're sorry.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Retail Games Hitting Nintendo Switch This Spring
@Kynwal In Canada we are getting 10% on select pre-orders through Amazon Prime.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Retail Games Hitting Nintendo Switch This Spring
An intersting definition of Spring used for this article.
Edit. I see at the bottom of the article that it states spring/summer. Sneaky.

Re: Feature: A Kirby Retrospective: From Game Boy To Nintendo Switch
Nifty retrospective. Well, if you like Kirby games, then I hope this new instalment is good for you. I, however, will not be purchasing this one.
Re: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Is Finally Confirmed For Nintendo Switch
Fun. I wonder how well the first one, in particular, holds up after all these years.
Re: Capcom Classic Okami HD Stalks Its Way To Switch This Summer
Never heard of this game at all. But, it looks really fantastic. Not too sure about motion controls, but the touch screen idea should be good.
Re: Super Smash Bros. For Switch Is Coming This Year, And It's Got Inklings
Should be a very popular title. Still not interested. I might try Arms some day, however.
Re: Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Makes The Leap To Switch And 3DS
Definitely a fun game. But, I have no need to double-dip on this one...even with the added co-op. I wonder if it has the Toad amiibo support like on the Wii U?
Re: South Park: The Fractured But Whole Brings Its NSFW Antics To Switch On 24th April

Re: Take Centre Court And Trick Shot Your Way To Glory In Mario Tennis Aces This June
Looks great. Lots of neat gameplay elements. Hopefully it'll be a bit better than their last tennis effort.
Re: Octopath Traveler Receives Release Date And Special Edition On Nintendo Switch
Looks like a neat set. I'll have to go back and look at the demo again as I didn't play too much of it.
Re: '90s Classic Another World Makes The Leap To Switch This Spring
I think I had enough fun with this one on the Amiga.
Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Will Get A Retail Release (But It'll Cost You $60)
No surprise about the price. I won't buy it unless it gets a deep discount at some point. I never did play it on Wii U.
Re: Nintendo Download: 15th February (North America)
Nothing for me this week.
Re: Nintendo Switch Gets A New Lick Of Paint As De Blob Splats Down In 2018
It was a great game on the Wii and I played it a lot with my daughter. I highly doubt I will purchase this one just because it's on the Switch.
Re: Legend Of Kay Anniversary Will Claw Its Way Onto Nintendo Switch in 2018
It was okay on WiiU. A very dated experience, however.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
No Nintendo for me this weekend. Other stuff to do.
Re: R.B.I. Baseball 18 Will Aim For The Bleachers On Switch This March

Re: Hands On: The Future Of Gaming Is Cardboard, Thanks To Nintendo Labo
It looks fantastic. I can imagine a lot of kids (or certain parents) really liking this idea. Plus, cardboard is easily recyclable.
Plus, really inexpensive to manufacture. I'm thinking there's a nice profit margin.
Re: Review: Unepic (Switch eShop)
I really enjoyed the game on the WiiU. Its humour and gameplay are great. I know that I didn't quite finish it either as my thumbs just weren't quick enough for that last batter...or at least I think it was the last battle.
Re: Sorry Netflix Fans, You Won't Be Watching Stranger Things On Your Switch Anytime Soon
Meh. No big loss here. I prefer to watch stupid shows and movies on the bigger screen anyway.
Re: Feature: Killer Apps We Really Want To See On Nintendo Switch
Proper Activity Log.
MiiVerse (or something similar).
Folders.

Re: Mario Tennis Aces Brings A GBA-Style Story Mode To Switch
I'll definitely need to read a review before this one as their last Mario Tennis game was, um, not so good.
Re: A Free Update Is Coming to Super Mario Odyssey Next Month
Interesting. Not too sure I'll be able to find hidden balloons as I'm not really that good with doing fancy jumps and the like.

Re: Nintendo Boasts Of Continued Third Party Support For Switch
I wouldn't mind playing the original "Grand Theft Auto".
Re: Soapbox: Yoshi's Woolly World Mended My Rocky Relationship With Yoshi
It's a great couch co-op game. My daughter played a lot of it that way. I don't think we ever finished it, however.
Re: Review: SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition (Switch eShop)
A truly wonderful game that I think I enjoyed even more than either of the Dig games. When it gets a great sale on the Switch, then I might buy it again.
