This is a great little game. The narrator is a bit creepy at times. I really like the co-operative play as my little girl likes to do the colours while I move the character around. It reminds me of Max and the Magic Marker.
It's not a bad little game. It does get a bit irritating after a while to do some of the jumps. It sure would be nice if the guy on the bike would actually pedal to pick up some speed!
How's about the music that seems to be a bit too loud during some of the cut scenes and you can barely hear whatever it is that the characters are discussing.
I think Nintendo's approach to consoles has been the most innovative in years. The Wii and the Wii U are fantastically unique and allow for a very different and fantastic gaming experience that simply cannot be matched on the other consoles.
And, Amiibo is a great idea and it's fantastic how a little character can be used in different games as opposed to the SkyLanders approach. (I finally broke down and picked up Toad and I'm getting my daughter Ganondorf and Bowser.)
Nintendo, for the most part, make fantastic games and I don't think that'll change. While we haven't had the big third party support there have been many exceptional games from the smaller studios.
I'll be impressed if the game can have two-player local play where one person gets the gamepad and the other gets the TV. If it does that, then I'll probably pick it up.
I'm not too sure I could figure out my Top 10 Retail Games as I play a lot of indie games. For retail games, I do enjoy 'Game and Wario', 'Need for Speed Most Wanted U', and 'LEGO City Undercover'.
I have no interest in collecting little plastic figures that, while they may be cute, are simply more overpriced plastic trinkets. If there was a nice digital option, then I would happily consider buying from Nintendo so that I could access the already built in extra functionality of games. Until then, options like Amiiqo seem intriguing.
Your thoughtful comment regarding developers and their learning curve makes me want to pick up one of your games (probably SHUT THE BOX) when I get a chance.
I hope you keep making games and learn from your mistakes and find some constructive feedback to help you to improve upon what you've learned and to make better games in the future. "You suck!" is never very helpful.
Goodness knows that none of us start at the top and it takes time, effort, passion, and desire to continuously improve upon yourself and the work you make. I know that my teaching has significantly improved over the last 10 years--my score when I first started probably would have only been a 4/10 from NLife, but now I think I'm up to 8/10 or maybe even 9/10.
I bought it on day 1 and I still use it most every day. It's a great console and I've had a great time wasting away the hours with it. And my daughter likes it a lot, too. Is it better than other consoles? I have no idea and I don't care. I just like my Wii U!
I think that more consumers need to realize that the Wii U is a very different experience from the Wii and, of course, from the Sony and Microsoft boxes.
I really like the GamePad as well and it was one of the reasons I was drawn to the WiiU. I hope it gets more attention and is used in more creative ways.
Good for those that can do this little trick as it doesn't look too easy. Mind you, when I'm playing with others (online or local) I really don't care if I'm 1st or last or anywhere in between. I just drive around and have fun.
Assuming Nintendo does that free pass thing with these two, I'll try them out. I'm not too sure I'd get them as I really didn't like baseball or boxing on the Wii.
This quote regarding the GamePad may actually be a deal breaker for MK8 for me: "the absence of it as a standalone screen in local multiplayer is glaring". Having used this feature in Nintendo Land, LEGO Batman 2, and LEGO Marvel Superheroes I'm not too sure if I can go back to the split screen for two players. It's quite disappointing that Nintendo didn't (couldn't?) use its GamePad this way for this game.
I will try baseball, but I don't know if I'll buy it or not. I probably won't even try the boxing. I should probably go and play some golf now. Have a good one!
It's a nice promo, but the selection for Canada is quite poor when compared to the European promo. The only game on that list that I don' t have is Wii Party U and I'm quite uninterested in that. And, even if I was, I think the little stand that comes with the physical version is a useful accessory and, oh yeah, the Wii Remote Plus.
I do find it quite amusing that Nintendo often states how they wish to reward their loyal fans, but this isn't much of a deal for those of us that play Nintendo games quite a bit.
I hope it does help sell some games and, more importantly, consoles for Nintendo as the user base does really need to increase.

"Survival Mode is arguably where you'll be spending most of your time..." Clearly the reviewer isn't an eight-year-old girl.
Re: Review: Minecraft: Wii U Edition (Wii U eShop)
I will buy it if they upgrade it so one player can use the Gamepad screen and the other can use the TV.
Or, I'll buy it when my daughter finds out it's on the Wii U!

Another World is fantastic, but I'm not going to pay that price for it considering I bought it and Sim City 2000 for $6.38 from got.com during a sale.
Re: Wii Owners Are Upgrading To PlayStation 4, Claims Sony

I've put in about an hour so far and it's been great. Definitely seems worthy of the 9 so far.
