Re: Soapbox: Nintendo's Maddening Stance On Retro Gaming Is Driving Me To Piracy

For the average consumer, I think there is easy enough access to the most significant titles in Nintendo's NES and SNES catalogue with the service on the Switch and the two retro consoles that Nintendo has produced.

Personally, I just don't care. I'm not into collecting old games or even wanting to play some of them. There is a plethora of current games that would take more than a lifetime to get through. I have found a couple of VC titles that I had never heard of that I enjoyed on the WiiU VC, but whether or not I was able to play them has no significant impact on my life.

Would it be nice to have the option? I suppose, but I'm not missing it.

I have the physical versions of Super Mario Party and Let's Go Evee pre-ordered. I might consider Starlink if I can get it without all the 'toys' or if there is enough to play without the 'toys'. I'm pretty undecided on Diablo. I haven't played a Diablo since the second one and that was a long time ago on a Mac far far away.

I gave up on Mega Man 11 after I played the demo. I don't think I like Mega Man. I also gave up waiting on Dark Souls. I think if it had come out in the summer, then I would have purchased it.

It's a good game. I don't care for the sexist and degrading comments made my the Issun character towards female NPCs. I also don't like how truly slow the camera pans.

I also find it funny that in one dialogue scene they have used "it's" incorrectly when they should have used "its".

Re: Motion Twin Apologises For Frame Rate Drops In Switch Version Of Dead Cells

If he is so sensitive to frame rate and performance issues, I wonder why he would even consider purchasing any software for a Nintendo console when it may be available on other gaming consoles or a computer. Nintendo isn't exactly known for its high-powered systems.

It's a great game. I don't find these issues negatively affect my enjoyment of the game. Mind you, I've only used Nintendo game consoles over the last decade and my MacBook Air is several years old.

I've only had a chance to play this game for a couple of hours, but I've been enjoying myself and definitely been getting killed quite regularly. The controls are great and there seems to be a decent level of variety...at least so far.

Pre-ordered the physical cart. I do find it interesting that the physical cart was less expensive than the digital version. Forty CAD for the former and fifty-five CAD for the latter. I thought it was supposed to be the other way round?
