Re: A New DOOM Eternal Trailer Is Headed Our Way Tomorrow

My One X awaits.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the switch version. It's still plausible it doesn't release at all, given the hardware limitations. At best it would be a severely gimped version, way more so than the DOOM 2016 port.

The much rumored switch pro would have mitigated this and should have been a thing last year.

Re: Former Nintendo Of America President Reggie Says The Future Of Games Is In The Cloud

"Reggie's former employer Nintendo, is yet to fully embrace cloud gaming like Google Stadia and Microsoft's Project xCloud."

Hell, they can't even get cloud game saves down right. Let's crawl before we walk.

It would be pretty neat for a series of interviews be done on top Ex-Nintendo employees regarding some of the baffling things Nintendo does and have them speak candidly on them once and for all.

Re: What Year Is It? Nintendo's Wii U Is Getting A New Game Today

hihelloitsme

@frabbit two changes would have saved Wii U, I believe:

1) call it something else (Super Wii, Wii 2, literally anything but Wii U)
2) bundle in a pro controller with every console (offsets the Gamepad limitations and allows for easier access to multiplayer situations)

Nintendo's approach to Wii U was ripe with assumption, arrogance and complacency. Things Iwata swore they couldn't do (i.e. his "resting on our laurels" comment back in 2010-11ish) and yet, allowed to happen under his watch.

Re: Nintendo Switch Lite Officially Revealed, Launches This September

@YessMasster oh no, they were saying much more than that.

They were actively rooting against one ever existing as they would somehow feel slighted as a day 1 purchaser of the original switch. Or some ridiculousness along those lines.

The rumor articles almost infuriated them, and yet, deep down they all knew it was true.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Explores Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night's Disappointing Switch Version

I moved on from owning only Nintendo consoles because I just got tired of stuff like this. After multiple generations and countless development teams, at the end of the day the issue lies with Nintendo.

I was finally done compromising my gaming experience. Every generation Nintendo is about compromise. Want a SNES? Compromise on adult content/filters. Want a N64? Compromise on storage space, FMV, digital audio, 3rd party support. Want a GCN? Compromise on a right analog stick or a 4th shoulder button, and 3rd party support (less so than N64 granted). Want a Wii? Compromise on HD graphics and (good) 3rd party support. Want a Wii U? Well. LOL.

Want a Switch? Compromise on literally everything for the sake of portability.

Gaming on a non-Nintendo for the first time in, ever, has been fantastic. So many games. No compromise. (I don't care to play video games outside of my home).

Re: Review: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - A Fine Castlevania Tribute That's A Technical Trainwreck On Switch

"it's unlikely that Inti Creates and ArtPlay are going to be able to get the Switch version on an even standing with even the versions available on the base PS4 and Xbox One consoles, at least from a visual and performance standpoint. It should be clear by now that if you have the option to play Bloodstained on any other system, then you should probably avoid the Switch edition."

And people still don't believe a Switch Pro is around the corner. If it isn't, it would be extremely foolish on Nintendo's part.

@gaga64 "As someone who’s only ever bought Nintendo"

Man, let me tell ya. You are missing out, my friend. A whole world of amazing games awaits you out there. Up until Wii U I also only bought Nintendo, and ever since I couldn't believe the amount of content I was purposefully avoiding in my attempts to try and remain loyal to a single brand.
